Good piece of kitchen-ware that needs care like any good tool. Took some youtube advice and bathed my basket in boiling water to clean off any residues from the factory, baked it in an oven at 200 degree farenheit to dry, then apply food safe oil to season while still warm. finally used it today and made fish, dumplings and cauliflower. No 'off' taste and the liners worked well. the little dish included is nice for dipping sauces. did have some splinters but those have been getting knocked off easily without affecting the structure

Love it. Well made but doesn't come with a stainless steel ring to rest it on the pot. Comes with parsons paper, chops sticks and a ramekin.

I’ve been using this almost every day, and it’s been really helpful. The box and chopsticks shown in the photo were not included, which was a little disappointing and made me wonder if something was missing. That said, it’s great for making healthy meals. I usually steam vegetables, fish, or meat, and it turns out really well. It’s very simple to use — I just cut up the vegetables, put everything inside, and steam for about 20 minutes. That’s it. It makes cooking so much easier and quicker. The only downside is that cleaning and drying it can be a bit of a hassle. Still, when I want a healthy meal without much effort, this is perfect. Overall, I’m very satisfied with it, aside from the missing accessories.

Grate! AMAZON kindly replased this item stress-free! It is a delight to use....clean cookin' with steam. Being hand crafted (I hope) presents a warm comfy ambiance. And....I think may need a steamer round disc thingy to place on top of my pot?

My steam came exactly as described. It is very well made and sturdy, as evidenced by my photos. It is a very pretty yellow bamboo color and the construction detail is excellent. Both of the steamer sections ore interchangeable, making it very easy to use, not having to worry which section goes on top. The sections have a large enough capacity size To make it very easy to steam different types of food at one time (dumplings & veggies). The steamer was well-packaged and did not have any “dings or bruises” except for the natural imperfections of the bamboo wood. When I unwrapped the steamer it was covered with a fine dusty residue, but it was easily washed off with warm soapy water and then air dried. I look forward to many steamed dishes using my bamboo steamer.

30 years ago from as seen on tv I got the hand hammered wok gadget that came with a bamboo steamer. Best purchase utensil wise I ever made, this year it started to unravel the time had come to get a new one (30 years, was worth it) This new one is of an impeccable design, it seems to be put together in a stronger fashion than my previous one. It also fits in my old wok (which I use almost daily anymore). I have also learned over the years that bamboo steamers can be as fast as a microwave, and even better? FOOD stays HOT twice as long. I've even learned how to boil pasta while I steam veggies. Then take the container set it aside and use the wok for steak/chicken uncle bob...(kidding) and the whole meal comes out phenomenally! I've learned how to with the steamer and a wok prepare a meal like from a Japanese steak house such as Kobe's or Arigatos, (I know this is about the steamer but 1 thing about the wok? It's about the best damn popcorn popper I've ever used!) Foods are fresher and have a bright color to them. I knew it was time for a new Steamer, I wish I would have done it sooner. (for those who don't know Microwaves are only flash steamers, it evaporates water molecules which is why breads always come out like styrofoam, the Bamboo steamer uses nature not electronic beams and it does make a difference) For those interested in eating healthier start with a Bamboo Steamer and a real wok (not flat bottomed)

This steamer is easy to use and clean. It steams the veggies perfectly and creates no smell from cauliflower or broccoli. I recommend it to all buyers.

A little short for some steam buns (they touch the ceilings) but overall delightful and feels very good quality.

Just received this item. It looks sturdier than others I have purchased. Will know better once I use it. Came with liners, chopped sticks, and a little dumpling dish. Nicely packaged with clear cleaning instructions.
