Great and reliable Cat 6a Ethernet
They work great and deliver high speeds with no data lose or connectivity issues. The quality is great and features the for Ethernet standards (Cat 6a) that can deliver up up to 40gb of data. Although the data delivery capacity is likely overkill for many households i still recommend in the case that you decide to upgrade your data speeds in the future you will be prepared with a high quality and capable Ethernet cable. I use this for my internet. The value for the price is great and i appreciate the multiple length that are offered ensuring it captures the needs of many. I ended up buying multiple ones in different lengths. Overall great product from a reliable company

Impressed with the shielding.
I’m renting, don’t have attic access, and wanted a proper hardwired connection—so yes, I ran this 50ft Cable Matters Cat 6A cable from my router to my PC through exterior. Sue me. I reused existing pathways from the old landline telephone infrastructure, which honestly felt more like upgrading the house than doing anything sketchy. I had to cut and re-terminate one end to make the run, which gave me a look at the internals. The construction is solid. Overall shield with a drain wire, plus individually foil-shielded twisted pairs. That’s exactly what you want for Cat 6A to control EMI and crosstalk. The conductors are flexible and don’t hold their shape like solid core, which is normal for stranded patch cable—not a quality issue. Performance-wise, it delivers. I’m seeing noticeably better and more consistent speeds with lower latency compared to the cable it replaced. Is this an outdoor-rated CMX cable? No. Is it protected, properly routed, and working perfectly fine in a rental with limited options? Yes. And for the price, this cable punches well above its weight and actually feels like it meets spec instead of just wearing the Cat 6A label.

Solid Cable, No Issues
This Cat 6A Ethernet cable does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Build quality feels solid, the connectors fit snugly, and performance has been consistent with no drops or weird behavior. I’m using it for a longer run, and it’s handled everything without issue. Shielding and snaggless connectors are a nice touch, and the cable itself feels durable without being overly stiff. Nothing flashy, just a well-made cable that works as advertised. Five stars.

Fantastic Ethernet cable, perfect for a multitude of projects!
Fantastic Ethernet cable, perfect for a multitude of projects! I use these seasonally outside for my holiday light displays, running long stretches across the yard and up to the roof. They’ve performed great in the cold and wet weather (I bring them in after the season, and obviously keep the connectors protected with caps or in weatherproof boxes). Compared to the regular Cat6 cables I used before, these Cat6a cables feel much more durable: noticeably thicker outer jacket, beefier RJ45 connectors, and seriously solid shielding. They do retain a little coil memory if bent tightly, but they still lay flatter and route far more easily than standard Cat6 – the Cat6a construction really helps there. Overall build quality is excellent. Highly recommend for anyone needing tough, reliable, weather-resistant Ethernet for outdoor projects or any heavy-duty installation!

Awesome cable with reliable speeds
Great cable. Reliable high-speed Ethernet up to at least 1GB/s without throttling. Looks great and stays in place exceptionally well. More length than I need, pretty light, and decently flexible. As easy as plugging one end into a router, Ethernet splitter, or Ethernet wall plug (which is also plugged into the router) and the other end into your computer or device of choice. Looks to be shielded and I’ve never had any dropouts while using this cable, even with heavy radio, WiFi, sound, and Bluetooth interference. I’ve purchased two so far and will buy more in the future.

Fast and trouble free
I picked up the 25ft white Cat 6A cable specifically to hardwire my Mac Studio to a wall jack and get the full speed my ISP promises. WiFi was giving me around 500 mbps, which is decent, but I wanted that full gigabit connection. The cable itself feels well-made - the connectors are solid, the jacket seems durable, and everything clicks in nicely. No complaints about the build quality. My only minor gripe is that it arrived with some pretty aggressive coiling from shipping, so it doesn't want to lay completely flat yet. I'm hoping that'll work itself out over the next week or two, but it's not a dealbreaker. Mission accomplished on the speed front. Plugged it in and immediately jumped to the full 1 gig I'm paying for. This is exactly why I went wired in the first place. The white color was a bonus - matches my walls perfectly and doesn't stick out like some bright blue cable screaming "I'm a network cable!" At $10.69, this was a no-brainer purchase. So far, a reliable Cat 6A cable that'll actually delivers the speed I was looking for!

Excellent cable. Good price. A good choice if you need shielded ethernet cable.
Update (May 2025): My original runs are still going strong, and I've now implemented additional runs using this vendor's shielded cable (I've also used unshielded cable from this vendor, for those who might ultimately use unshielded cable). Performance continues to be great. As long as this vendor doesn't get greedy (as happened with some other cable vendors who started to build a reputation), they'll officially be my "go-to" vendor from here on out, and I suspect they'll continue to amass a similar following. Keep up the nice work, Cable Matters, and please don't get greedy! Original review: This product is a good balance between quality and price. There are cheaper cables out there but I consider Cable Matters to be a reliable vendor. Be prepared for your cable run to be slightly more involved if you're using shielded cable, as it's somewhat thicker and less flexible than unshielded. And read up on shielded vs unshielded to see which is best for your use case. Shielded may be very important or needless overkill that just costs you more. But if you do need shielded cable, it's still easy to use and install, so no need to worry too much. This cable has worked well for me, and it was just the right length for my use case. They offer plenty of colors, which is nice if you need that for color-coding or matching an aesthetic if part of the run will be exposed. And the connectivity / signal quality is great, of course.
