Hammock sleeping rocks...
I purchased this hammock to use as a backpacking hammock and I have to say I am sold on hammock sleeping! I just returned from a 5 day shakedown car camping trip to test out some new gear ideas for backpacking. I took an extra tent just in case hammock sleeping wasn’t for me, but I never even took the tent out of the car. This hammock worked very, very well and I have never slept so well camping before. After watching plenty of YouTube videos the 11 foot hammock worked very well for me at 5’10” and I really appreciated the addition of the fabric gathering feature on the GoHammock. You can see in the photos how it reduced the side height during sleeping. I never once experienced any of the calf pressure during any of the 5 nights. I’m not sure if that was due to the extra 12 inches or the gathering chords, or a combo. I did find after each of the first 2 or 3 nights I woke sagging more than when I settled in for the night. I don’t know if that was from the hammock of my straps. I did tighten the straps to bring the hammock height back up In the morning and things settled down after the 3rd night. For the 5th night I moved camp spots and did not have a problem with extra sagging. It seems to be very similar material to other backpacking hammocks, but I like the features of the GoHammock and the extra 12 inches and with the entire setup I purchased my shelter system (Hammock, tarp, underquilt, straps, stakes and lines) weight comes in just under 4.5 lbs. Which is a bit heavy, but I went cheap on my tarp and underquilt as I was still unsure if hammock sleeping was for me. I also did not use a bug net. I’m hoping it proves to be durable and lasts for at least several seasons, but for the $20 paid its inexpensive enough to replace each season... as long as I can get through the season with no catastrophic experiences as it would be tough to recover during a middle of a multi-night thru hike. If the durability comes into question I’ll update this review.

Carabiners on hammock are poor quality. They have rough spots and after setting up they have already started to cut into the ropes. Doesn't work quit as they advertise. For the price there are much better hammocks. returning this hammock. Also had stains on the hammock when opened. It's a great idea and size for a hammock- hard to find hammocks this big but there is a lot that needs to be worked out.

Great nightly sleeper
I use this hammock instead of a bead for nightly sleeping. It's very comfortable, and I never feel fear it will fall or break in the night like my last one did. I did have to buy a larger stand for it, but that was expected. The length and width allow for different sleep positions for if I need to adjust and its wide enough that even a larger person like me can feel fully encompassed and I never fear of falling out if I move around in my sleep. I get a much better quality of sleep then any bed I've ever used and my back pain ( which used to be near constant) is greatly reduced. Even if this one wore out or broke eventually, I'd likely buy the same one again. Love this product.

Very comfortable...
I really like their hammocks. I bought one of their second generation hammocks to try. It was so nice in the few years after, I have bought 3 more. All still working and super comfy. I bought one of the gen 1 hammocks for inside my cabin....it is awesome and had to buy a couple more because everyone wants to sleep in one now. Go Outfitters is not the lightest but is definitely not heavy, some of that weight comes from the large size. Much bigger than an ENO double for example. There is lots of room and the fabric has a pleasant "stretch" to it. I sleep great in these. If you are on the fence about these give them a try you won't regret it.

comfortable
I have tried to sleep in a hammock before, but found them very uncomfortable. This hammock is 11 feet long and using a ridge line and the longer hammock length makes the difference. The hammock is , the material is very good quality. I had to reach out to the company for a question and found them friendly and knowledgeable. There are tips on YouTube and you can visit the gooutfitters website, they have other products and videos that helped me as a first time to have a successful night’s sleep. I have already ordered more for the family.
