Great
Great device, good for tennis elbow and help with your golf swing etc. should only use for 5 minutes max per hand per day. If you over use it can cause other issues I have learned

Lot's of fun. The science of the gyroscope applied to exercise.
I love this. It is essentially a gyroscope. The ball contains an inner ball which is weighted and rests on gimbals You don't need a string to start it. It has an internal spring. Once wound up, the ball beings to turn, By rotating your wrist in a particular way best learned by viewing a video, the speed of the ball will increase. As the ball increases in speed, the laws of physics dictate that attempting to rotate its spin axis by applying torque, the gyroscope will try and rotate at right angles to the force you apply. This is called gyroscopic procession. This is why gyroscopes are used in navigational systems on earth and in space. They want to stay in position and by so doing, there is an initial frame of reference. As the speed of the gyroscope increases it gets more and more difficult, that is you need to apply more force to get the ball to spin faster. As a result you are putting stress on the muscles of the wrist and forearm...exerciser. It is a novel way to strengthen your arm and is just plain fun. I recommend you also purchase the NSD Power SM-02 Precision Multi-function Speedometer so you can measure how fast you can get the gyroscope to spin.

BUY THE STRING START ONE!
A little hard to operate at first. The trick is to move "with the spin" to go faster and faster. Certainly works well, but if I was to buy again, I would get the one with the string pull starter!

My Holy Grail Gyro-Spinner!
These are worth the money! After trying the cheaper, string-wound spinners, which ultimately were WEAKER in their resistance and a pain to string-up, I watched several Youtube videos and decided to spend the money on something I'd truly find to be a good quality Spinner. This is it! Not only with an easy, auto-start mechanism, but the resistance builds as high as I can go with my strength, and I love the flashing light colors. I did have 1 that stopped working after a short period of time (1 month from purchase), but so far the replacement is working fine (after 2 months of purchase).

Will not start motion
Have not been able to start it. Have tried and followed directions included and on website. I’m at the point I am assuming it is defective. I have not returned yet, waiting to see if my kids can get it going before I give up.

Exercise that feels... fun?
Bought this to help exercise my wrist and forearm after an RSI scare. Not gonna lie. I spent a few hours figuring out how exactly to spin this, until enough videos made me realize that I had to spin it slower and not faster - I was spinning too fast to stay in sync. The key for me was the wrist motion (can't really explain it, but you should be rotating it horizontally and tilting it on the vertical axis) as well as trying to "feel" it sync. Once I got it working, I couldn't resist using it even when tired - there's just something about the flashing lights and the whirling and the resistance and the motion that just feels rewarding. I'm pretty sure the flashing lights are a way of gamifying it - which is a really good thing if it gets you do something that helps you. I bought the auto start model because I knew I would lose the rip-cord of the other models, and while I didn't get a counter, after a week with this I decided to get one to keep track of how well I'm doing with it. Did it cure my RSI? Too early to tell. Is it a great exercise? HECK YEAH

I love this thing
I love this thing. It's quite unassuming just looking at it, but it's a heck of a workout. I make medieval armor as a hobby so my grip strength is pretty good. After 5 minutes with this thing, I knew exactly which muscles I have not been using. A friend had the string start version which is were I learned about this little gyro centrifugal gadget. I got the auto start version and it's definitely worth the few extra bucks. No worrying about loosing the string and the startup speed from the spring is double that of what you can achieve with the string with less hassle. As for the construction, the core has been machine balanced and the ratchet mechanism is all metal for a long life. They also make a higher end version that's double the pounds of resistance. Definitely a future purchase. I would recommend starting with this one unless you are a body builder.

Good for getting into the spinners
I bought this because a friend had a similar model. This one is good for the money, and is great for getting started with these to see if you like them before buying something better made. I used it for a few weeks before the bearings started to wear, and you can really hear things starting to wear out inside. It still works, but needs a bit more to get it going than it did before. I wish I would have gotten the one with the counter on it instead, cause I'm a fan of seeing stats on things.

I’ve owned a gyro like this before
I’ve owned a gyro like this before, but this is much superior: The biggest improvement on this for me is the spring loaded start up function, I hated using a string to start one of these up, then the ends would break off the string making it useless. This requires a little more wrist action to get it running after starting, but it works the same as any other gyroball after you do. I purchased this for rehabilitation from a broken wrist, I must strengthen the stabilization muscles of the wrist again now, this was recommended by my physiotherapist. The easy start up feature of this makes it much more practicle and desirable for me to just pick up and use regularly once or twice a day for a miniworkout. I couldn’t use this though until just today when my doctor told me the bone is pretty much fully healed, please check with your doctor as well before using to ensure it will not cause further damage if this is what you buy it for. It’s a great wrist strengthener as well though for anyone without injuries. The string based ones are good as well, but I will rebuy one of these before I go back to that kind of model.

Very original gadget and grreat workout!!!
This is an awesome product! Makes for great party conversations and competitions! I was hesitant about not picking a model with the electronic counter, but thought that since the counter faces your palm anyway, that you would no see it. There are 3 colors to help you know how fast you're going. The red LED indicates that the spinner turns at 1000rpm. The "purple" LED" indicates that you're at 4000rpm. When the spinner changes to a solid blue light, it means that you're turning at 7000rpm, which is about half the maximum speed of this model. I try to keep a cruising speed while this spinner stays on the blue color for a good work out! Yes, your forearms will start to feel the burn! :) I wish there could be more LED in this model to indicate maybe 10 000rpm and then 13 000 rpm. Still great gadget to train your grip!I highly suggest the autostart function! You just crank the rotor with your thumbs instead of using the red pull-string that comes with the other models (nothing to lose).
