This Item holds a crisp point to it. Does not wear out quickly. I wouldn't substitute anything else. Make sure you get this one and not the 3030. A mistake I've already made

Good quality leads, well packaged by Pica
Harder than the original leads, very well packaged by Pica. Amazon simply tossed them in an envelope and all survived unbroken in the Pica case.
