Yes, it also has belt clips on the sheath. Be advised that the knife is sharp at the tip but doesn't have much of an edge.

If i was running with this around my neck like a neckalce would the knife fall out of the sheath?

As the others wrote, it is very tight. I like to pull mine out so the hole is exposed. It is stilll tight and doesn't take as much effort to unsheath it. If the knife is fully sheathed, it rattles some.

Is it obvious that it is under your shirt?

No its not obvious..real sleek and secured I love it for work..

What kind of stainless steel is it any one know

Its made from some pretty good quality steel. only issue i have with it is the finger hole is small. MY ring finger is a 12 and my first two fingers are 13 So unless you have small fingers i wouldn't recommend it. also very dull. hope this helps.
