>.. If you are as old as I am, ancient of days, you may recall some of the old flavors of cola. To my mind they were richer and more intense than the modern colas. Didn't know that colas had different flavors? They have been changing even before the Atlanta brew dropped cocaine from it's recipe. And cola refers to a nut, the kola nut; but colas have had many other flavors involved, including citrus, old world spices and for one flavor, at least, plum juice (originally). >.. In an attempt to return some of the old flavors, or at what seems like that old flavor, I have found that a half-teaspoon, added to 16 or 20 ounces of current diet cola adds back that more intense flavor I was looking for. I have tried other flavorings, of the cola type, but this one seems to do the trick without a lot of fuss. I buy the 2 litre bottles of diet cola and pour about 16 to 20 ounces over some cracked ice, add about a half-teaspoon to the glass, and stir with a straw. Works every time. It is sweetened, and that is good, because I have had some that was not and wow was that a surprise. I can't tell you what it was sweetened with as I just had my cataracts out, and I can't read fine print. >.. Does it last? Well, I have two glasses a day, so I use about 5 mls a day. A teaspoon is calculated at 5 mls. This come in a 4 ounce (120 ml) bottle, so it should last me 24 days. It come Prime so no shipping; just divide the current cost by the number of drinks you have a day to get the usage rate for yourself. Of course I'll reorder, and set up a regular supply. Enjoying cola again!
