These are so easy to install and make me feel better about drinking water as I don’t trust the pipes in my house. Even the dog gets filtered water. Water always tastes great and have never had any issues. Wish they weren’t so expensive or had a two pack for a little less. But I seem to use one every six months has been my average. Never owned a refrigerator with a water dispenser before.

Perfect fit! I easily found this refill water filter on Amazon. I initially...quickly read over the instructions but, not fully. As a result of not taking the time to read it in its entirety, I thought something was wrong when I went to fill my glass with water, after Installing the filter and only running a HALF GALLON tea pitcher and dumping it ( The instructions clearly state to run at least 2 gallons of water through and dump it before use!) I noticed my water was cloudy with what looked like a faint color of blue ink in it! People...don't rush like i did, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! They are clear and easy to follow. After realizing my error 🙃 and correcting it, everything ran smoothly. This particular brand is a little more pricey than i anticipated, however it states you can get a good 6 months or longer out of this filter so I'm pleased. This brand is pretty good and the water taste way better now. Unfortunately, my husband kept clearing the red light on the fridge that indicates its time to replace the filter 😐 this resulted in our daughter getting a nasty little surprise in her cup one night! Thankfully, she had looked before putting the top to her cup back on and dumped the entire thing.

I always buy this item for my fridge water filter. The item is simple to install. Never had any issues with this product. My water is a little slower but that's only because my water goes through a reverse osmosis filter first. Might be overkill but my water tastes pretty good.

Great replacement filter! This is my second time ordering this filer. It arrived the very next day, which was a huge plus. Installation was quick and easy, and I immediately noticed a significant improvement in the water flow from my refrigerator's dispenser. I’ve been very happy with this filter so far. It does what it’s supposed to do, and I’ve never personally noticed any bad taste or change in water quality while using it. I haven’t done any independent testing beyond the information provided by the manufacturer, but based on our household usage, we consider ourselves light-to-moderate users. We typically use around 2 gallons per week during the cooler months and a little more during the summer. Since this is a fairly expensive filter, I personally prefer to get as much value out of it as reasonably possible rather than replacing it the moment the filter indicator reaches zero. I generally plan on getting around 8–9 months of use out of one, assuming the water still tastes normal and the flow remains strong. If you notice a bad taste, odor, or noticeably weaker water flow, I would recommend replacing it sooner. Otherwise, I’ve had a good experience with this filter and would definitely recommend it. Overall, it’s a good filter, but the price is definitely the biggest downside.

I bought a GE refrigerator about 3 years ago and it came with my first GE XWFE filter. They have always worked great and are easy to install. I suggest that you steer clear of all imitations and buy the original GE equipment. I credit this filter with ensuring that my water tastes great.

This came quickly and was easy to install. My water and ice maker were struggling before I changed the filter and now water is flowing and ice maker is quickly dropping nice ice into the tray. Water tasting fresh and good.

A water tester from a drinking water company (I could not recall the name, but I recall the rep said his company uses a drinking water filtration system called Raindrop; anyhow, that rep was not a government county official) came to test the amount of impurities in my tap water and in the water from the recently purchased GE XWFE water filter installed in my fridge. It measured the tap at 184 units of impurities and the filter at 174. The need is 1- 20 for the best amount of impurities. The EPA doesn't regulate this number, but it only removes bacterial buildup. I hope my nutritional intake removes the heavy-weight impurities in the water. Can't depend on these filters. Wish GE would reduce its price to say $20 a piece.
