Excellent home use endoscope for a very reasonable price.
Disclosure up front, this is a solicited review, but honestly I wouldn't be writing it if I didn't believe they truly deserved it. This is an excellent home use endoscope for a very reasonable price. Presents a clear recordable image with a quality, easy to use interface. I really did not expect it to be as good as it is. There are some limitations to it, but used for the right purposes, it's a phenomenally powerful tool. Do understand that the camera has a fairly limited focal range (it really only sees very well about an inch to three inches in front of the camera) and the cable is bendable, but not controllable outside of your grip. What that means is that if you want to reach through a wall or some sort of constriction, and then look around at an open space on the other side, you're not going to be able to do that very well. But if you want to follow a tight pipe, or see a good distance into a very narrow channel, it's absolutely great for those applications. The unit arrived quicker than was forecast as I recall, and was very easy to use and understand right out of the box. One thing that can be a little disorienting is sorting out which way is actually up when you're scoping a pipe or channel, because the top of your screen is not necessarily the top of the camera. That's not a shortcoming of the equipment at all. I have had a few experiences lately where a company that produced a garbage product and had no customer service at all, then later tried to hold a refund "hostage" unless/until I would offer to change a negative review to a positive one. That is not the case here at all. I could not be happier with this endoscope and glad to be able to steer people toward it. Nice job Teslong!

Incredible Value, Great Picture for the Price
Like a lot of people, I bought one of those $30 endoscopes that require you to use an app on your phone to see the stream. Like a lot of people, I took an hour with it, threw in the towel, and shipped it back. This Teslong endoscope is the real deal. Yes, it's more expensive, but not prohibitively so and for that extra price you get a great picture, lighted dual-cameras (top and side), a sturdy, easy-to-use control unit, and generally good battery life. As soon as we broke it out, we went into the basement to thread it up through the floor to try to identify the source of a leak around the skirt of the tub in our 2nd bathroom. The multi-level light was up to the task of illuminating the darkened cavity and when we needed to sneak up around the side of the tub for a sides shot, the side camera performed well, helping us narrow down exactly where the leak was flowing. The one frustration I have, and it's not unique to this endoscope, is that the flex cable, while strong, still flexes a little too much when you are trying to aim a camera that is several feet away. Our solution was to find a piece of 1/4" PVC pipe that we had laying around, thread the camera up and in, tape the flex cable to the pipe to ensure it was not going to move when we twisted the pipe, and then use the pipe to rotate and aim the camera. This might not work in every situation, but it worked well for us. All in all, the Teslong "feels" like a piece of semi-pro gear, not like a piece of junk like the endoscopes in the $30 range. It's not a pro endoscope, and it lacks some of the resolution and other nice-to-have features of larger, handheld units, but it does the trick for the price. Highly recommended!

Great camera for the price, but a few issues...
This is a great camera for the price, and the side view camera is a nice extra and quite handy. It arrived well packaged and fast. The image quality is very good to excellent, both cameras and monitor. I bought this to try to identify an object stuck in my well at a depth of about 40 feet. The well is 6 inches in diameter, more on that later. Here are the two reasons why I gave it 4 stars instead of five. One, on the first use, the little trim ring around the lens of the camera came off. (see photo.) Literally fell off in my hands while cleaning the lens end. While it didn't affect the image quality and the lens appears to still be securely attached, I am pretty sure that this ruins the waterproofing of the camera. Second, the LEDS on this camera, while somewhat bright, cast such a small and dim area of light that the image as seen in the dark 6" diameter well was only usable when the camera was within a few inches of the object. (A field of view about 3" in diameter.) Any further back and the image was so dark as to be unusable. They need to be much brighter and cast a larger area of light to be really useful. Even if it means using a larger camera housing to get extra light brightness and spread, it would be worth the extra size. All that aside, there would be advantages to the small diameter (about 1/4") of the camera and lights, but in my situation it was a huge drawback. For inspecting other things like small diameter pipes, inside engine cylinders, etc. it would work great. Overall I don't regret buying this camera, it is a good value for the price but disappointing as to how dim the LEDS were for my situation. (And having that ring fall off.) A few minor tweaks to this and it would easily deserve 5 stars.

Excellent quality tool, invaluable when it's needed, and price to performance is outstanding
I do a lot of work on my older house, both as a hobby and to save money. This endoscope has saved me well more money than its cost in the first few months, and severely cut down on the "repairs" from exploratory holes I used to have to put in walls and ceilings. I am not a professional, so I don't use this every day, and I am pretty tech savvy, so the balance of features and usability versus technical knowledge to plug in, charge, and make it work was just right. The endoscope itself feels very solid, the screen is bright and clear, and the camera and light, with the ability to switch from the front to the side camera at the base of the unit (dual camera is great!), giving me good confidence in the longevity. The recording feature has been especially useful, as it captures the video from the camera, but the voice at the base. By narrating what I am doing and seeing on the camera, I can later replay the video either on the unit or at my desktop computer and easily understand what I was seeing. This has also been useful when later showing a contractor what they will expect to see when they tear into the walls! I don't have any real complaints, but I do wish I had bought a shorter probe length. I thought up front that buying a longer one than I needed (I bought a 16ft long probe) would "future proof" my needs. Well, the problem is that in all the uses so far, I haven't used more than the first 4 feet of the probe, and as such the extra 12 feet was curled up, making holding the base unit and the coil of extra probe while trying to manipulate the tip of the probe an exercise in patience and re-doing. That is not a dig on the device, but rather my choice in purchasing. The probe itself is flexible, but holds its shape well. Note that at this price point, the probe is like a microphone stand, you bend it and it stays that shape. It cannot be remotely manipulated once it is inserted into whatever you are looking at. Overall, this was money well spent, with a high quality device, nice case and accessories (mirror and magnet). I highly recommend!

PULL THE TRIGGER ! It's worth the money
After several uses I can say with out hesitation It's very well built easy to use and beyond my expectations on functionality and build quality ..Supper clear picture on the monitor a little less on the video replay but not enough to make a case out of it love the ability to switch from front cam to side cam and the audio on the recording is just outstanding. I've tried several phone connected scope cams and was not happy with them at all love the case also. Update after 6 years' Yes 6 Years of using it almost weekly to scope out my cylinder on my Powered Parachute ultra lite aircraft I still love this Its stopped working today after 6 years I couldn't find the way to access the battery compartment to change out the battery's, and it occurred to me it was rechargeable LOL any ways I charged it up and still like new. Picture is extremely sharp . So if your looking for an endoscope with good features look no further.

Good luck charging it
Great little cheap camera for automotive & industrial inspections. However, it is extremely finicky to charge. Constantly changing different cables or chargers (5 volt) to magically find one that works. Out of 6 different "5 Volt" chargers/cables the device picks from what use to charge it to a different one. Absolute proof that it was designed by an unfaithful spouse ๐

Easy to Use, Good Image Quality, Good Price
I don't have any complaints with this purchase. I suspected I had a yellow jacket hive above the drop ceiling in my basement. I saw them flying in and out of a hole in the side of my house. I purchased this to stick through a hole in my drop ceiling to scout out the situation. The image quality was good for what I needed. It has three levels or brightness, but the lowest and middle brightness didn't seem too different to me. The cable was flexible enough to bend it and move it around, but firm enough to keep the shape and angle I needed. I didn't use the hook accessory that came with it. Case is nice and durable, which make carrying it around easy. The screen size was fine, the entire unit was smaller (but wider) than my old iPhone 7 Plus. I would definitely recommend this product. Oh, and if you were wondering, the yellow jackets were not above my drop ceiling after all, they were between my outside walls and the siding. Cost me more way more for the exterminator than it did for this Teslong endoscope camera.

Great Deal
Iโve had a truck for 5 years and could never figure out the keyless entry code. Through research I found that itโs stamped on the backside of the fuse box. Itโs practically impossible to see with an inspection mirror. For less than the price of taking it to the dealership and having them scan it for me I bought this. It worked perfect! I was impressed by not only the quality of the image- but the way it could focus on something that was so close to the lens. Also the cable can be bent and hold its position just right. The light is just enough to see whatโs going on without it being too bright to wash out what youโre trying to see. I would definitely recommend it!

Great camera
I bought this camera to check out a clogged grey water drain. The picture is very clear and I was quite impressed with the unit especially for the price. I couldn't end up seeing what the blockage was as the water was very murky, however I was able to see that there were no bends in the pipe so I knew where to dig outside. I also sent it 50' into a drainage big o. I taped it to some fiberglass fish sticks (for running electrical wires) and was able to push it in with no issues.
