Excellent for uncertain times ahead. I use for soups and dips and recipes needing a little color and flavor. Shelf stable!

I wasn't sure if I would like (or use) dehydrated (not freeze dried) sweet red peppers. And I also was unsure which brand to pick to try. I am so glad I tried these. The size of the pieces are great- not to small, not too big. I put them in my plant based meats, in chili. scrambled eggs, salad dressing, even in homemade sandwich bun dough before it bakes. I had tried freeze dried peppers before, but found them lacking in flavor and texture. These have both. As with all dried peppers, whether ground, or in pieces like these, they must be stored as cool and dry and dark as possible. For me that means ground pepper in any form (cayenne, paprika) I keep in the fridge. These dried peppers I vacuumed packed in smaller canning jars and stored them in a dark cellar, and kept one in the lower kitchen cupboard to use. I initially thought the price seemed a bit high, but the bag received and the amount contained in the bag (and the quality of the peppers) was worthy of the price. I highly recommend this brand.

This review is for the Dried Red Bell Peppers, 2 lbs. We love red bell peppers, but we started using freeze dried red bell peppers to supplement vitamin A. (actually beta carotene, which is converted to vitamin A, with no risk of overdose. Also, red peppers have about 10 time the beta carotene as green bells. 1Tbs of freeze dried red bells provides daily Vit A needs for an adult.) In any case, we started with another product that is MUCH more expensive. My wife found the It's Delish product. After trying it: it tastes just as good, has better color and is much less expensive. As far as the customer service: they originally sent us the wrong product. OK, mistakes can happen. I called Amazon; they connected me to It's Delish; and It's Delish immediately shipped out a replacement and sent a prepaid return label to return the wrong product. We received the correct red bells and they taste great. We are happy campers :-).

I love this product. The size is ideal for salads and the flavor has been perfectly preserved. I love that it is red bell peppers only. Nothing else. An excellent product.

I love fresh red peppers, but don't always have them on hand when I need them. These are the best dried red peppers I've found. They have great flavor and are very red, so they add a splash of color to almost any dish. I've used them in all kinds of pasta, including pasta salad. They're perfect for mixing into tuna salad, omelets or quesadillas. And I always add some to black beans and rice. If you want to use them in a green salad, I'd suggest letting them soak in a little olive oil first to rehydrate them.

I purchased these in preparation for a long road trip. These have the same high quality as dehydrating myself and taste just as good. The price per oz was the best compared to competitors on Amazon. We made ramen mixtures, backpacking stirfry, thai curry, and backpacking italian pastas with this. Only a tablespoon per person is needed so it goes a long way.
