MY FIRST REVIEW:uhh... seriously this is one of the cutest, awesome working, easy kettles i've ever had, hands down my absolute fav of all time... and I'm nearly 50:)I don't have anything really technical to say about it. its a qualtiy product. use is intuitive. I could easily keep this one for the rest of my days. and barring any unforseen weird malfunction, I would buy another one to replace...just a great all around product.I would definitely recommend as a gift. there is a wide color assortment too.FINAL: I PURCHASED THIS KETTLE July 22, 2017. TODAY IT STOPPED WORKING (2/08/2020). I am very sad - i loved this tea kettle. Truth is, This has been a work horse in our kitchen. Daily morning and often evening use as well. I'm not sure how long i expected this countertop appliance to work but it was longer than this. I have to say, that I still enjoyed using it everyday, the aesthetics bring a smile to my face still. On closer inspection the base has a small melted blemish, (I'LL POST PICS) but it's not near the connectors so i don't know if that's the cause or what. But now I have to make another purchase, and I'm not sure what to do. I've tried connecting with kitchenaid via their live chat but it isn't working today, so i sent them an email and have to wait a few days to hear back. In that time I will have already decided what to do. In fact I will most likely purchase one more and give this little dynamo the benefit of the doubt. I may also try just using the kettle on the stove...it is stainless steel after all. I still highly recommend this product. We are high use users, and this would probably have lasted another year or so with avg./normal wear.

I've had this kettle for 3 years. It has no rust. It still works like new. I would buy it again.Update: It has now been 5 years. I use it two or three times daily, and the inside still looks new. I occasionally rinse it with white vinegar, and that keeps it free of buildup of any kind. The outer paint is chipped all over, as I expected it would be over time. See pic. Any painted stainless kettle will, but it still looks good, the chipped paint adding to its retro look. It just started leaking out of the bottom, and I need to replace it since it's leaking from what is connected to the electricity. I'm disappointed about this. For $100, it should have lasted more than 5 years. I will buy one of the many offered on Amazon for 1/2 the price, and with no plastic.

It has a nice look And it shuts off automatically whether you wanted to or notIt does not leakI use filtered water Heat the water Quite quickly I won't say instantly Definitely faster than on the stove topSo I am pleased with it's performance It has a spot that you could hang tea if you wanted to in itAnd it also has a filter for the spoutIt seems to be made of good material. I haven't had rust yetHow high to fill it Marker inside You don't have to feel the side. It's actually so easy I wish I took a picture and maybe do so but I have some timeWashing it isn't as easy but I've never run across the teapot that's easy to wash.. Lol. But my hand is small enough to get in there and move aroundI try not to let water sit in it when I'm not using it. With any teapot. . It's just not good to do that with metalMy tea tastes wonderful It's hot Though I wish it would heat for just a little bit longer. There is no button to change it to heat for a little bit longer that is the 1 downside. I wait a few seconds and press the button down againIt is pricey compared to what that you would put on the stove Repeat for the quality That's why you pay more

I had been using an old plastic electric kettle that my mother bought me when I first left home for college... I’m 28 y/o. So much can be said for the sustainability I’m expecting of this. After falling in love with so many other KitchenAid appliances (matching colors, of course 💁🏽‍♂️) I decided to spend a little extra on something I loved the look of.It works wonderfully. It’s easy to use, as most electric kettles are, heats quickly, and is the perfect size for my small apartment counters.As many have stated, one annoying factor is that they have chosen to use a plastic strainer. Somewhat defeating the purpose of switching to a metal kettle. However, the waterline lies below the plastic and I thankfully haven’t had any issues yet.I pretty much love it. Mainly bc it SO cute.PROS:- adorable design to match other KA appliances- perfect size for small kitchen- well built and sturdy (I expect it to last quite some time)CONS:- difficult to clean (ALL kettles are - electric or otherwise)- unnecessary plastic pieces- risk of rust (you must remember to empty the kettle and allow to air dry after use. Simple and easy to do but annoying to remember)

This kettle is cute, gorgeous color, and works very quickly.The only possible negative is that the lever to turn it on feels a bit iffy and I read some reviews accusing it of breakage before buying. I've had my kettle for 7 months of daily multi-use and no issues so far.People who complain about rust: It's stainless steel, it literally doesn't rust. If you see something that looks rusty in it, it's water deposits from your water, not rust from the metal.Our house is on a water well (filtered but not softened though it probably should be), and so we clean this out every couple of weeks. Deposits are limited if you dump the water out daily and at least start with a full kettle of fresh water instead of filling it, boiling it, using half, refill, etc which will end up with some of the water being boiled multiple times.A light scrubbing occasionally is good, but best is to toss in a couple cm of white vinegar and heat it up (turn on the kettle briefly - don't boil it); drop the screen down into the vinegar as well. It'll clean the kettle out really nicely. You can save the used vinegar for next time, too, though it's cheap (buy it by the gallon in the cleaning supplies - don't use expensive salad white vinegar for this!). We use vinegar probably once every 3-4 weeks.

This is a great kettle that I purchased to match other Kitchenaid products on my counters. It heats water quickly and to a good boil. Very straightforward and easy to use with no bells and whistles. The only negative is the handle doesn’t move out of the way for filling at the sink so it’s easy to spill water around the opening if you’re not careful. Other than that it’s perfect.

Very happy with this kettle, the size is just right and looks great. I had the beeping one before- this is so, so, so..... much better- and much quieter too!!!!

Es justamente lo que esperaba, la usamos todo el tiempo, calienta muy rápido, alcanza bien para tres tazas aprox, hace un poco de ruido pero es razonable, los materiales se ven de muy buena calidad, llevo ya 3 meses usándola al menos dos veces al día y todo ok

I absolutely love this kettle. Solid construction, great colour, not over large but holds plenty to fill my teapot. Very neat . An excellent product, I recommend!
