Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven

I really wanted a cast iron dutch oven, but I have absolutely zero need for one of those giant ones I kept seeing. I want to make stews and meals for two or three people at most, or maybe even experiment with bread. This one seemed like it was the perfect size for me.It came fast, was well-packaged, and in perfect condition. I tested it straight away, and I'd have to say the seasoning was pretty good, though nothing like those family pieces that have 80 years of seasoning behind them. It's a good start on seasoning. It was nice and heavy, but not like the huge ones I found in the store. Perfectly balanced. The heat distribution was spot on. I made a stew with a cornbread top and it was absolutely spot on. Every single ounce of it was as cooked as every other ounce, and the top was golden and perfect. Clean up was easy, though the temptation to scrub is hard to overcome. I gave it another good rub for further seasoning afterwards. The price on this was even fantastic. I really love this thing. If you're confused about the sizes, see my photo where I hold up a pen to show the width. It's got some depth to it. We got two huge bowls, and two smaller bowls out of one meal, and the dutch oven wasn't completely full. It holds more than it seems.

Great little cast iron camp oven.We made a peach cobbler in the embers of our camp fire and it worked like a charm!I did season it over the barbecue grill at home before our trip, just to be sure, as it felt a bit rough on the inside, but it held up great! Still need some practice, cooking directly in the embers is a delicate balance. Our cobbler was a bit on the dark side, but still delicious! We used parchment paper for the cobbler, but made rolls without and the came out amazing. Clean up was a breeze, we just wiped it out. We'll be using this for years to come.It's on the smaller side, which is what I wanted as we were planning on desert for a group of 3-4 and s'mores for the kids

Absolutely adorable great little pot, cooks beautifully over an open fire, easy cleaning well worth the price

The wife loves this guy. Its big enough to serve 2-3 adults but stores away so easy. We are used to bringing its big brother the 5qt on our camp trips but now the kids have all grown up so we do more couples camping.

This is a great pan! My husband has been wanting cast iron for a while especially for camping. So far he’s made chili, a breakfast bake, and a few other things. He things it’s easy to clean, easy to re-season, and so nice to cook in. Read the measurements tho. It’s a nice size for a small family but it is a bit smaller!

Peace of mind knowing that we have it

This is the perfect size for doing desserts or sides at camp. I looked all over for a small dutch oven with feet so I could use it with the fire coals. This one does the trick. Came preseasoned but I seasoned again and made steakhouse cocktail mushrooms at camp which were a huge hit. This little pot did not let me down!

I love this thing. Makes a great 1 or 2 person camp oven. I have cooked lots of breakfasts and cobblers in this. I did polish the inside but totally non stick now.

Works like a charm and is my favorite piece of camp cookware. I'm glad I bought this brand instead of the similarly sized and more expensive Lodge version. While I don't love that this one's made in China, it's a good bit lighter than the Lodge, which matters when trying to pack light for camping.

What’s not to like good size not heavy practical and you can use it as a caldron if you want to – and I do!

Have not used yet just seasoned it. If you are looking for a 1or2 person Dutch oven. I recommend this for sure

Great little dutch oven. I made lasagna for the first use and it was amazing. The 2 qt dutch oven is perfect for 2 people camping (few leftovers). I would buy a bigger one for bigger recipes.
