Perfect
Fantastic. Plugged my 4TB Samsung into my Mac Mini M4 (only 256GB on that) and works flawlessly - have the time machine running and also separate partition for raw video files etc. The adapter that the drive plugs into is nice and flat and the cable exit is perfect to sit to the right of the Mac Mini.

Works very well
Works very well, including test of clone via UBC-C from 500GB NVMe SSD to 1TB SATA SSD.

Works with Atomos drives
Works with Atomos SSDs: tested with Sumo, Shogun and Ninja-V drives. No need to remove from the caddy, it just clips directly to the exposed SATA port. Good transfer speed, compact and much cheaper than Atomos-branded readers. Tested on an M1 MacBook Air, true plug n' play with no setup or permissions required, it just works. Recommended purchase!

Fully utilises USB-C
Fantastic bit of kit. Connected a internal SSD and it worked instantly. Speed is fantastic utilising the native USB-C port on my PC, which also powers it negating the need for another power supply. With daily use I haven't noticed any slowdown, I keep forgetting it's plugged in externally.

Works fine
Works fine with WD Green 256gb ssd. 300-350MBs. Also cheaper and easier disc swap than an enclosure.

Works brilliantly would definitely recommend
This works wonderfully and does exactly what it says on the tin. I have an old Black Magic camera that still uses 2.5 SS D’s . However, my laptop currently only has USB c on it. So now I can plug it in without a dongle on the go and copy everything off very fast. Would definitely recommend And could even save you some money instead of buying enclosed hard drives. You can buy 2.5 SSD hard drives and when you need to use them just plugging into this, you just need to keep them covered in a drawer. Great for cold storage

UGREEN SATA to USB-C Adapter May Not Support certain 2.5" Samsung SSDs
UGREEN SATA to USB-C Adapter May Not Support Samsung SSDs. This adapter works fine with Kingston HyperX Fury and other brands, but fails to detect certain Samsung2.5" SATA SSDs—even when connected via direct USB-C with verified power and cable integrity. Key issues: • Samsung drives may not initialize due to chipset incompatibility. • Samsung Magician and firmware tools won’t detect drives over this adapter. • No mention of this limitation in product listings or documentation. Bottom line: If you're planning to use this adapter with Samsung SSDs for cloning, auditing, or firmware updates, look elsewhere. This is a brand-specific blind spot that should have been disclosed. Update. Update: Tested with two Samsung 870 EVO V-NAND SSDs (1TB and 500GB). Neither was detected by this adapter, while Kingston HyperX Fury SSDs worked fine. This may be a chipset-specific issue affecting the 870 EVO line.

Overall quite good
Read and write speeds are at around 400mb/s, so almost the advertised 5Gbps. Good quality product, cable is long enough, sleek design and lovely white indicator.
