OtterBox Defender Series Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) - Black

Excellent product. More than I expected.

Sturdy and strong ,value for money, it does not stand on it own.A bit bulky ,but it protects the device well.

Bought this for the tablet I know is going to get used on a daily basis inside and outside. I’ve had otter boxes on all of my phones and tablets before and was worried that this device wasn’t going to have one available. Glad that it did and bought it the day after the device came in. It feels completely protected from drops and scratches as this case has a screen protector built in. Other complain about the attached case and stand, but ignore them if you are really concerned about making sure nothing happens to the device. This will be the last case that you will buy for the tab 8.4. The stand is of the quality that is expected from otter box. High quality. It doesn’t show any signs of being weak and will hold up to almost anything you may have to deal with out in the field as well as being inside.

These were refurbished, but I couldn’t tell the difference between them and a new one. I was able to put together without instructions. I’m very happy saving 50 or 60 bucks.

I picked up a used Samsung Tab A (8.4") to run as a monitoring system in my 4x4, tethered to an ODB2 Bluetooth connector. Being in my Land Cruiser, I wanted protection...and this was/is perfect. Insanely rugged and dependable, the tablet is completely protected. The case fits snug and I'm overall very happy with it. My only complaint is that the protective film/touchscreen protector is a flimsy material. Maybe this is to allow the screen to accept the touch but it smudges WAY MORE than the actual tablet screen. But that's more of a personal preference than the item being what I need. Point being, Otterbox is probably the best protector out there for personal electronic devices.

I was given a tablet and wanted to protect it, when I found out there was an Otterbox I purchased it. Of course the first thing I did was tear out the terrible built in screen protector, no thank you. Fits very well and tight. I am super happy with it. It takes time to get used to the buttons being very tight.

I have used OtterBox cases for my devices for years now and they remain my most preferred and recommended for mobile devices. Bought this one in particular for my mom's new Tab 8.4. It fits perfectly, and it remains of solid and superior quality. Solid interior casing with a built-in screen protector, soft outer silicone shell, and a hard exterior shell that serves as a display stand. One thing folks should know is that while the interior casings have cut-outs for the Tab 8.4 camera lens, the hard outer shell/display stand does not. This means that to take photos you will need to remove the device from the hard exterior shell/display stand each time. Something to consider if your device gets dropped on hard surfaces while snapping photos. Although, perhaps the intention is that the interior casings may still suffice? Not sure and not willing to test that out lol, sorry folks.

This two piece case is great, I have accidentally drop tested it a number of times without any negative effect. The touch screen is not effected by the cover, and the cord entry ports are easy enough to open and access. The buttons are a bit stiff. The second piece of the case that can be either a shell cover or stand, works well. The only thing I would change is to make the case seal fully allowing it to be moisture resistant. That said I have swabbed it down with antibacterial wipes and alcohol without any negative effect. Bottom line, this has already saved my tablet a number of times, and will continue to in the future.

I knew Otterbox was a good name, but this was really the first product I purchased. When it arrived, it was simple, and the instructions on how to use it were easy enough to follow. Although, my own trepidation of something breaking made it more complicated than it needed to be (thanks to prior products of similar make). Thankfully, it held together and has allowed my tablet to withstand quite a bit. But it wasn't until today when I was even more pleased: I have my tablet in a tote bag that I take to work. My water bottle had a bit of a leak and water came out, all over my tablet and Otterbox. While the Box isn't completely impervious to leaks, it withstood the water enough for me to dry it. tl;dr: This is a great product, and I would highly suggest it to anyone.

I like the commuter a lot more. Unfortunate they didn't make it for this device, but I really like it
