I am so happy I found this cold brew carafe! My coffee odyssey has been a dramatic one, truly. I started drinking Starbucks Cold Brew last summer and thought I'd be ready to switch back to hot coffee once it got cold outside but I've been drinking cold coffee throughout the winter. I have a hard water problem which has made it difficult to make a good hot cup of coffee at home. I filter water but I like to keep that for my water drinking, so I got hooked on the cold brew. But it's expensive. Meaning paying $6 or $7 for 40 oz of coffee stopped being cost efficient. Can I make my own cold brew at home? I found this pitcher when I started to do research and gave it a go. Oh my God! I love it! I can make a $10 bag of coffee go way further than I ever can from the cold brew I get from the store. This pitcher is easy to use and gives me just what I need for the weekend. See, I drink hot coffee in the office; I only drink cold coffee when I'm working from home one or two days a week and on Saturday and Sunday. This pitcher gives me just enough. I followed the instructions in the booklet that comes with the maker, get it ready late Friday afternoon and by Saturday morning, I have some really good cold brew coffee! The $10 bag of coffee I buy nets me 3 pitchers of coffee which is so cost effective! And the coffee tastes amazing! For my first carafe of cold coffee, I got the Vanilla/Lavender Starbucks coffee. Flavored coffee is always tricky because you have to go light when you make it to make the most of the flavor, but I followed the instructions - 16 tablespoons of coffee and it still came out pretty good! I'm excited to try different coffees but it's been really nice to get more coffee for the money I'm spending this way, rather than spending upwards of $7.00 for the cold brew in the store! This is definitely a good pitcher/carafe to start with. I've been very happy and have been looking forward to my weekend coffee fix!

I absolute love it! It is so easy and cost effective! One pot lasts over a week if I have cold brew every day! It tastes so much better and is way fresher than anything you buy Pete-made! Eastmy to pour and so easy to clean

I like everything about this cold brew maker. If it were perfect, the handle and exterior would be stainless steel instead of plastic but the carafe is glass which is the important part. It’s easy to brew the coffee, easy to clean, even the bottom unscrews to release the grounds. It would’ve still been good without this feature but it makes it even easier to rinse clean. Simply the best of the best. I’ve always wanted to be able to drink black coffee but the bitterness was too much. I couldn’t believe the first time I tasted my sister’s home cold brew! She gave me a jar and a mesh bag to try it. Great results but wanting to get away from the cheese cloth and jar method while knowing nothing, I searched for “cold brewers”. Beginners luck!! Amazon had this one “deal of the day.” Love it!! My entire family of coffee snobs, sworn to their French press and freshly ground beans every morning have switched to cold brew from this brewer and I’m not even using specialized cold brew coffee! Being a newbie, I just ordered a bag of organic 365 Whole Foods ground beans to try it out. My coffee snobs are drinking it up! Raving about the smooth taste. The taste is so smooth, I want a second brewer for decaf. A cup of decaf blended with a few frozen milk cubes for quick coffee frappe. So I searched again for cold brewers. Ironically, now that I know more, all I did was waste time. An extensive search and review sites found many more expensive and complicated cold brewers but non better. Surprisingly, many of the expensive ones have plastic carafes! Some are large and too cumbersome to fit easily in the refrigerator, others we’re not easy to clean. Looks like I had true beginners luck. I have recommended this cold brew coffee maker to several friends who have purchased it on my recommendation. All my friends are equally happy. I highly recommend.

I’ve really enjoyed using this, and it’s easy to use, easy to clean (dishwasher safe is a huge plus!), and makes smooth, delicious cold brew every time. The mesh filter is fine enough to keep grounds out, and the comfort grip handle makes pouring super convenient. The design is sleek and the glass carafe feels sturdy. It fits nicely in the fridge without taking up much space, which I appreciate. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the size. It says 1.6 quarts, but for me, that ends up making only about two decent-sized iced coffees per brew. If you drink cold brew daily or share with someone else, you’ll find yourself making it pretty often. Overall, it’s a great product—just wish there was a larger version available!

I purchased this as a gift for my dad a few years ago, and he uses it daily. The preparation is easy, and he thoroughly enjoys the cold brew. This is a wonderful gift for coffee lovers!

Works great! So easy to use and to clean. I've been mixing the prepared coffee with a vanilla or cafe latte protein drink and I get three big Yeti mugs full, so it lasts me a good chunk of the morning! Delicious!

This device makes cold brew coffee just as well, and as poorly, as every other cold brew device I've tried. Therefore, 3-Stars. "Fines" are still a problem and must be filtered out through paper after brewing which creates an extra step, even when using a course grind. It's amazing that every one of these cold brew devices still has that issue no matter what type of mesh or bag they use as their filter, and the manufacturers leave it up to us to deal with it. Having to filter the coffee clear through a paper filter so that i'm not dealing with a mouth-feel of "coffee dust" each sip is the main reason I'm willing to buy a product that claims to brew cold coffee right for me! Getting a clean product IS the time wasting step, so if tossing my grounds & water in a dang mason jar and filtering it later anyway gets me to the same place, then what's the point of these "deluxe" makers? I'm filtering myself either way. Make one that actually filters the coffee clean and charge me 3-4x the price and I'll pay it because it will be a bargain! Add in the cleaning time with these "deluxe" products as-is and none are a bargain at any price. I found the filter mesh to be fragile, easily stretched, and the area where ground coffee is added narrow, all reasons that make it difficult to clean the Primula Burke Deluxe. So between the extra filtering step and time spent cleaning between brews, all to get just 3 - 12oz glasses of cold brew coffee out of the container, it isn't worth it for me. You can decide if it's okay for you. I'm keeping it since for the price I paid the pitcher and lid seal are nice. There's a rubber bottom, and the pitcher is made from that "glass-tic" stuff some manufacturers call glass but feels plastic-y, so the weight is nice.

The size of this coffee/tea maker is ideal as it fits nicely into my fridge. Its broad base also ensures that it is not easily toppled over. It is also rather easy to clean the mesh filter. Overall, an excellent product!

I have heard positive things about cold brew coffee, so I thought I'd try this cold brewer and I love it. It's very stylish looking with a glass carafe inside of the plastic holder. The lid of the brewer is flexible and has a section which holds the mesh filter, which can easily be removed. You simply fill the filter with coarse or regular grind coffee, then add some water into the filter holding the coffee to wet the grounds, then fill the rest of the brewer with cold water until it reaches the top level of the grounds. You then let it sit in the fridge for 24+ hours [I leave mine for 36 hours to give a more concentrated brew]. Then you remove the filter, dump out the grounds and run warm water through the filter to clean it. The bottom of the filter can be unscrewed for easy cleaning. When the coffee has brewed it's fairly concentrated so I add about half a cup of the coffee to my mug and fill the rest with hot water. It gives me a warm cup of coffee which I like. You can heat it in the microwave for one minute if you like your coffee hot. I find that cold brewing eliminates the acid and oils that you get from hot brewing, so you get a much nicer tasting coffee.

Si te gusta el café y no eres de los que si no te ardes la boca con lo caliente del café no lo disfrutas, que te quieres concentrar más en el sabor, este hay que probarlo. This is the easiest thing I could have ever used! I had a complicated setup that took forever to make just a tiny bit of grainy coldbrew, and it wasn't worth the trouble. I would end up frustrated spending a small fortune on bottled brew at the grocery store. I wish I had known that such an easy cold brew pitcher existed, seriously! It is so quick to prepare, I put it in the fridge and give it a stir partway through the brew time, then lift out the basket and I have a pitcher of perfect, yummy cold brew left. Not only that but I ordered this adorable multicolored version, because it was just too perky to pass up, and it is super easy to clean. There are no complicated pieces or hidden corners that require special brushes to access. Also it is a jug that makes water into delicious coffee, which is just glorious in itself. It is so simple to make the cold brew, the pitcher is painless to clean, and the filter basket is fine, keeping the beverage clear. Entirely recommend getting this if you enjoy cold brews, iced teas, etc.
