contact mic element
i love that these are available in mass quantities for cheap, made many mics and they work great if u get good adhesion

They work great
Used to replace electric drum triggers. I am pleased with them. Would recommend.

Treat gently.
These work, of course, but the wire connections are fragile. They will fatigue with just a few bends and break soon thereafter. The wires are a very thin guage, but they need to be so as not to prevent the disc from vibrating. So be aware: the wire contacts are fragile, but they need to be. Expect to need to treat these gently.

35mm Piezo Disc
This is the first can mic that I have made, and it sounds pretty alright for what it is, it took some moving around of the piezo to find that sweet spot, and I did find it, now I can start thinking about the part in the train song I'm working on to use this thing. I'll definitely make more as I have plenty more piezo discs...Rumble Road Records & NoSlip Records

They work
Used these as a contact microphone and they work about as well as expected. The disc is larger than most but the wires are really thin and flimsy

Science fair project
We used these in a science fair project to charge a small battery from energy created while walking around. They worked great for prototyping (and demonstrating the limitations of the idea). Very easy to burn through if you need to solder them into a circuit, but not likely what most people will use them for, and with a steady hand itโs not really an issue (our 7 year old is still very new to this and killed a couple, but thatโs not the fault of the product).
