THE BEST!!!!...and great customer service
After several different air beds over the years ( at least 7) NONE compare to the quality of this one. Where to begin....comfort, ridge around the top, ability to sit on it, ease of inflating, stays inflated, does not bulge, not noisy, tough material.......and lower height are ALL positives. I am at a summer place where I have slept on it for 3 months now and I have added air (just turn the dial) only twice. Past 'summer' experiences on other beds have resulted in frustration and disappointment. An air bed is necessary instead of a normal mattress in my situation as a visitor for only summer months. As a senior this is the easiest bed to get out of ...others have posed various problems. I have encouraged and succeeded in other friends buying and being very satisfied with this 'temporary' bed for visitors. One has even done away with her own bed in favor of buying one of these as her own bed. When you consider the cost of a 'mattress' and replacing one this is a great deal. One suggestion to make it even better is to buy a wool...not synthetic...cover to place under the sheet. It is amazing how comfortable this bed is....snuggle in and sweet dreams 15 weeks later! After continuous nightly use (14 weeks--visiting for the summer) it did not hold air...... but with no puncture found I contacted the company and they will replace it (after 30 days no longer free) up to one year for $25. All I had to do wais cut out the wording on the side and mail it to them and they willingly honor the year warranty by sending a replacement. I was very pleased with the customer service and those giving a one star based on an issue that is easily remedied is not fair.

Great Bed After Some Adjustments
I grew up sleeping on a sleep number bed, but since I'm a college student I didn't want to spend the money on an actual sleep number bed. I bought this one because it had good reviews and was much more budget friendly, but still allowed me the ease of moving it around from place to place and the comfort of an air mattress. I love this bed; that being said it does require a huge adjustment. The first night I slept on it, I attempted to crawl onto it in the dark and was literally bounced off of it onto the floor when I tried to get onto the corner of the bed instead of the middle. It also has a tendency to be creaky when you move around, and if it isn't firm enough, will roll you right onto the floor if you lean too far off of it. If you're using this as a guest bed that you're going to pull out of a closet every once in a while, this bed is perfect just the way it is. If you want to sleep on it every night like I do; I highly recommend buying a foam topper for it. I ended up getting a 2" memory foam topper, and now I never want to leave my bed because it's so comfortable. The topper makes the bed significantly less creaky, and it also drastically cuts down on the bed's tendency to fling you in random directions every time you move. The other thing to be aware of with this bed is that it is super thick, even if you don't have it inflated all that much. I have queen sized sheets that I put on it, but they still aren't big enough to actually be able to tuck the fitted sheet under the mattress. I put mine on a low bed frame, and now my bed is so tall that I don't have to stretch to turn the light off or the ceiling fan on. This bed takes a lot of getting used to and some creativity in the sheets department, but all in all it's a wonderful bed and I'm very happy I purchased it. It's everything I wanted/needed all for a reasonable price. Update: My mattress got two holes in the side that leaked enough air that the mattress would almost completely deflate overnight. I tried patching it multiple times with the patches that come with the mattress, but they didn't help at all. Eventually I gave up trying to patch it. I contacted SimplyGlobo and they replaced my mattress. I was outside the free replacement window, but they did replace it for I think $25 or something in that neighborhood. They were helpful, easy to work with, and I'm very happy with my replacement mattress. The side note for that is I called first and they basically said they couldn't do anything without me emailing them. The entire transaction ended up occurring through email, so just save yourself some time and email them in the first place.

So far...perfect.
I was skeptical of buying an air mattress and definitely made a decision based on the reviews here. First off the bed is extremely sturdy, it felt strong and had nice weight to it. Based on the feel of the material I have to believe the claims of puncture and stretch resistance. Second, the bed was out of the bag and fully inflated within 10 minutes and deflated and bag in its bag just as quickly. The cord is long which makes it useful in just about any size room, thereby removing the need to inflate then move the bed to a desired location. I only laid down on the bed for a few minutes but it felt surprisingly comfortable, sturdy and did not appear to lose shape (I'm 200 lbs). Overall, this was a great purchase and well worth the price.

Has potential, just make sure there are no holes
On the positive side, the bed was high enough that it was quite easy to 'get out of bed' on the down side, there was a hole in it from day 1 and I spent hours trying to find it. Unfortunately the deadline to return is past due. :(

leaks air at first use
i was cautious when buying an air bed because i have read that it can leak, but who would've known that i would be in that situation and it happening on the first use. it slowly leaks air so i have to re-inflate the bed every other three days or so. i will return it for an exchange. overall, the bed is very comfortable. if it did not leak air i would give it a five star.

A Pleasant Surprise
Well, my wife and I just received our new SimplySleeper SS-58RF air bed. Our purpose in ordering this bed was for daily use. Now, until recently, I had never slept on an air mattress before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but for more than a full month before this bed arrived my wife and I got a chance to try another, cheaper, air mattress. This experience with the cheap air mattress actually had me quite nervous as my wife and I had great difficulty sleeping the entire month we used it. When the SimplySleeper finally arrived I was happy to unpack it and get it set up in place of the other cheapy mattress. I was also very happy to see how firm and flat it was when inflated instead of the egg carton shape I was forced to sleep on previously. An added bonus is that the edges of the mattress all the way around are raised, giving great support on the edge of the mattress so that I don't just roll off when I get close to the edge as I had gotten used to. The extra height that this mattress has is also a nice feature that makes it look and feel like a very nice bed, in my opinion, of course. Now, my wife and I have only slept on this mattress for two nights now, but, so far, each morning when we wake up we look at each other and smile in disbelief at how well we slept and how comfortable this mattress is. In fact, I've actually begun dreaming again during the night, which, as I understand it, is a good thing. I definitely feel better throughout the day, as well. I've slept on several different mattresses over the past few months, new and old, spring and air, and I can honestly say that this is the best I've slept in a long time. This may even be the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on, but it would be hard to make that judgement with any certainty given my recent sleeping arrangements. For the sake of reference, I am about 30 years old, weigh about 155 lbs., and am about 5'11''. My wife is younger and about 40 lbs. lighter. Perhaps that info will help you to put this review into context if you're trying to determine what your own comfort level might be on this mattress. Well, I hope this helps. I've never written a review for any product I've gotten online, but knowing how happy we are with this item and how much we ourselves rely upon the detailed reviews of others when making purchases online, I felt inspired to give it a try.

It's comfortable, but has a flaw.
Edited: i really want to give this bed more stars but for one thing. It's comfortable, durable and a good value. I weigh over 300 lbs, and after the initial "stretch" period I only need a few seconds "top off time" a week to make up for any additional stretching or air loss (all air beds have a small amount of air loss). I've tried other air beds, and none matched this one (unless, perhaps, I wanted to spend hundreds of dollars, which I can't afford). The construction makes this feel as much like as conventional mattress as is possible with an air bed, and the edges hold up well if I happened to roll over next to the edge or when climbing out of bed. The issue that the seams on top are weaker than expected. One morning I had just gotten out of the bed, then forgot to grab something from the shelf on the other side of the bed, I quickly knelt on the bed, and just happened to put all my weight on my knee right where a seam was. Despite the weight capacity of the bed overall, I don't think it was meant to bear that much weight in such as small area right on a seam. The seam parted for a distance of about 4 inches, and needless to say my comfy air bed is now a floor mat. Thinking it was a matter of my putting too much weight on my knee, I ordered another one (still nearly 50% off) with Prime rush shipping. I decided to be more careful getting into and out of bed this time. For almost 2 months I had no problem as before, but the bed did develop an area that sagged under my butt more than surrounding areas. Then just this morning I simply propped myseld up on an elbow to turn off my alarm and a seam gave out. I even had a layer of mattress pad I thought was thick enough to keep that from happening. Though the bed is rated to 500 lbs., I would say that disregards what to me is normal activity of moving around on the bed. I'm sure they tested it with the idea of people of "normal" weight moving around.

Second SimplySleeper bed - also have and use queen sized SimplySleeper - love them both
This one is just as comfortable as the queen sized one we already own. We use this in our temporary apartment along with the queen sized one. My husband is fine with this one but I feel like it loses just a little air daily. Not a big deal as adding air is easy. But I feel like I roll toward the middle on this bed even when I sleep alone. In the queen bed, I sleep fine but we roll to middle when we both sleep in it. It's not a big deal rolling to the middle, I'm just an edge of the bed sleeper usually. Above all though, these are the most comfortable beds. I rate them right up there with our home beds and we've been using these for a month now in our temporary home. We usually stay in apartment for a week at a time. We both sleep great as we each sleep on separate beds. We only use a regular mattress bad. No extra padding as my husband thinks it makes him hot. I sleep just as good on these as I do at home. Sure makes living in the temporary place much more like normal. We are traveling soon and I think we will take these with us and sleep on them in our friends home instead of their beds. Rather know I'm going to get a good night's sleep on these than toss and turn on someone else's mattress. They deflate to a decent traveling size in the mini-van. I know these are much more expensive than say Coleman, but for us and as much as we are using them, it was well worth the money. I foolishly bought a tall twin Coleman and we hate it. Instead of rolling to the middle, you roll off to the side. Can't find a comfortable spot in it. Not a comfortable night at all. That's why we went back to Amazon and bought the double bed SimplySleeper. To replace the cheap Coleman. The grandkids do fine on it but I'd never put an adult I liked on it!!!
