Excellent enclosure easy to put together
Excellent build quality and easy to put together. Is extremely fast with my Crucial T700. Haven't put it to the test traveling yet but hope it lives up to the quality promised!

Awesome little enclosure
I put a 2TB sabrent nvme ssd in this thing and it flies. I usually see files transferring anywhere between 200Mbps and 1Gbps depending on the file type. I mostly use this as an external drive to transfer large video files from work to home for editing. Formatting it as APFS makes file transfers a breeze on my MacBook pro. I routinely transfer 1TB or so of video files in 12-15 minutes. My only complaint is that it can't transfer files at full nvme speeds, but that's a minor gripe since it so much faster than older ssds I had before. It gets pretty hot transferring large files, so I put a small heat sink on it. I don't know if it matters to longevity, but you an feel the heat coming off the heatsink and the case staying warm instead of hot now.

Fast, rugged, and well built
This is one of my favorite enclosures. It's built like a tank and is machined from solid aluminum. Unlike a lot of others I've tried, it stays reasonably cool without fans or vents, which makes it more ideal for me working in environments where dust or dirt could be an issue. Works like a charm (tested on windows, mac, and linux) and performs at advertised speeds as long as you use a reliable brand-name NVME SSD.

Fantastic product if you take it up a notch! The built in thermal interface material was lame so I removed it. Strong adhesive. Used dielectric grease on all components, even the activity LED o-ring. Added a good quality TIM pad for the back of the controller board. Fabricated a copper heat spreader that interference fit into the lid where the old pad was. Greased the SSD and the m.2 slot so even if water got in nothing would happen. Mx6 thermal paste to the SSD's controller. Also used paste to transfer heat from the bottom lid to the bulk of the aluminum enclosure. Didn't cool the flash chips because nand is most reliable around 80c. Great product!

Sturdy but does not good for long term.
I use it to archive my digital photos. Used less than 2 maybe 3 hours total but after 4 years, device is no longer detected by multiple laptops and a desktop. Fortunately data on SSD is ok but enclosure failed. I would not depend on this enclosure for long term durability.

Only PCIe Gen3 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x1
Uses a JMS583, which only supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 (USB 3.2 Gen 2x1) to PCIe NVMe Gen3 x2. Even though it isn't PCIe 4.0, Gen4 SSDs will still work as they are backwards compatible with Gen3, you just won't get full performance. It does support 10Gbps, so if that's all that matters, it will suffice. USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 support would have also been nice for 20Gbps.

Most Rugged and well made ssd enclosure
I truly love the products that Sabrent makes, they are a company truly on the rise. This case is no exception. Money well spent. I will be buying the mini Sabrent ssd with Thunderbolt next. 10/10

Well built, works well.
Bought this for use when out in the field and conditions may not be the best. The build quality seems very good and the weather sealing seems solid with no issues so far. Time will tell how well it holds up over time.

This isn't a cheaply made inclosure. It has a very nice build quality and solid construction. It's heavier than other enclosures, but this isn't an issue knowing you can also use it to hammer in some nails if you ever need to. Just don't use the supplied screw driver as it's too small to remove the screws. You want to use a bigger screwdriver to make it an easier job. The only thing I don't like is the supplied usb-c to usb-c cable is a little loose and moves from side to side a bit when it's plugged into the enclosure. Aside from that this is a good solid enclosure.

After chatting with a friend in film production he suggested I get one of these enclosures and put and m.2 into it. Delivery was quick, as described, and the assembly was easy. I also put a little thermal paste on the m.2 chips that make contact with the built in thermal pad. I've used it a lot for photography work, speeds are up to 700MB/s with a class 4 4TB m.2 (it downgrades speed to match the enclosure) and the right cable, and it stays COOL. like not warm, but cool, almost as if it's not even being used. 5/5, impressed, will definitely buy more.

Bought this to replace the UGreen unit I had that would disconnect and corrupt drives constantly. I used this enclosure/drive constantly for 10hrs and not 1 disconnect or corrupt drive including the same nvme drive that was used in the UGreen enclosure. The drive was constantly formatted (not quick format), used for drive imaging, data recovery cycles, copying data to and from systems. Speeds were good. Yes it is slower to swap the drive out if I need to change it but that isn't an issue for me.
