11901 Magnetic Pocket Level PRO with Holster Yellow

Great level. Works perfect. Much better than other levels I've used in the past.

This is a really nice pocket sized level. I checked and it is accurate for both level and plumb. Perfect size for checking in tight quarters where you can't fit your torpedo. Bubble is easy to read. A bit pricy but it is a Stabila. The holster is a strange beast. When you use it on its own its perfect, the level clips in and is secure the locking clip has a positive snap to it. To remove a firm push gets it out. But if you clip it to your belt it makes the holster useless. You can not remove the level from the holster, if you try you will only end up pulling the holster off your belt. The locking clip is just a flexible tab and when you put it on a belt the belt pushes the tab forward making removing the level just about impossible. Since this is a magnetic level they should have just put a piece of metal on the bottom of the holster to secure the level in and not that janky clip they use.

I’ve had this pocket level that I bought alongside the 30mm one. The size is nice for tight spaces where a full-size level just won’t fit, and the magnetic edge makes it super easy to stick to metal surfaces when I need hands-free alignment. It is well built and doesn’t feel cheap. The vial is clear and easy to read. It also comes with a clip that makes it nice to clip to your belt when using it frequently. It doesn’t replace a full-size level for longer spans, but for small jobs or quick checks it’s been great. TL;DR Pros: • Compact and easy to carry • Strong magnetic edge for hands-free use • Well-built and durable • Belt clip is nice to Cons: • Small size means it’s not ideal for long surfaces • Magnet could be a bit stronger

Mine was exactly accurate, as I checked it against three other levels. I was tempted to get the Milwaukee, but its big claim to fame is CRAZY strong magnets. That may be important for your application. But for mine, I realized that detaching an extremely strong magnet from the metal I was trying to level, might throw off the material as I tried to break away the crazy strong magnet. This Stabila is like a "Goldie Locks." Not too strong, not too weak. I may eventually find an application for which I want an extremely strong magnet, like that which comes on the Milwaukee version. But until that time, I think that an extremely strong magnet might be more of a liability than an asset. This Stabila is perfect for all-around small level use. Highly recommend.

The housing is made of plastic, not aluminum like the torpedo level. Not sure what I think of that, but otherwise a solid and very useful little level.

Great level

If you’re looking for a 0 and 90 degree level this thing cannot be beat. If you’re looking to confirm level for say mounting a rifle scope this is the level to buy. See for yourself it’s sitting on top of my calibrated $600 Mitutoyo Pro 3600 which is rated accurate to 0.05 degrees from 0-10 degrees. You can clearly see the Stabila shows perfect center and definitely meets its claimed 0.057 degrees accuracy for a tiny fraction of the price. Now if you need arbitrary angles that’s a different subject entirely.

I bought some cheap bubble levels, the small acrylic block types. I did the typical accuracy test where you flip the level 180° to check that they read the same in both directions. A couple passed but just barely. Then I bought an electronic level with a good rating, that didn't pass the test either (not until after I re-calibrated it). Then I bought this. Tested it and it read the same in both directions. I should have just bought this in the first place. Just for kicks, I set up a level surface using this bubble level and re-calibrated the electronic level. After the re-calibration the electronic level now passed 180° flip test.
