Deviant Moon Tarot: Borderless Edition Review: An Intuitive, Beautiful, and Ethereal Deck - I sat on this deck for a couple months before committing the time to giving it a proper test drive. I had looked through each card the moment it arrived back in May, but I hadn't actually used it until this week. First of all, the artwork is stunning and it resonates on a very visceral level with me. Art, aesthetics, and symbolism are subjective, so your mileage may vary on this point. For me, the images are intuitive and speak to something deep inside me. I absolutely love the artwork. I have a lot of decks and have been reading tarot for over forty years now, and I have plenty of decks that just don't work for me. I do a reading or pull a card and the results are just random and kind of meh. THIS deck, though, is uncanny. And again, that may be the symbolism and the imagery speaking so loudly, but I find myself constantly drawing cards to see what comes up. As a personal deck, Deviant Moon is in the top two decks that I prefer for my own use (the other being the Medieval Scapini, which has been my go-to for almost thirty years). The booklet's interpretation of the cards is wonderfully nuanced, as well. The printing of the images is flawless. So, it's beautiful, intuitive, amazing in its personal connection (to me, again ymmv). Now for the downside: The box is utter crap, which is kind of surprising for US Games. The cardstock used to make it is exceptionally thin and the top flap ripped the first time I opened it. The box is a bit large for the cards, so the box will crush in places, which means it won't stay closed and I have picked up the box only to have the cards drop out of the bottom more than once. Do yourself a favor and replace the stock box with a bag or custom box ASAP. The cards themselves are on very thin stock, which isn't a terrible thing, as it makes for easier shuffling, but I will be curious to see if this affects the overall longevity of the deck (especially since it looks like it will be getting a lot of use). Also, the cards are a little long and if you have little hands like me, you may find them hard to handle. I have similar problems with the Scapini deck, but I think of it as a good way to stretch and exercise my fingers. Honestly, the quality of the card stock and the size of the cards are things that are easy to get used to. The box is garbage. And these are honestly the only bad things I can think of about this deck. If the imagery in the posted images appeals to you, then you will love this deck. I can't recommend it highly enough. Review: Beautiful Deck! LOVE this purchase! - I purchased the Deviant Moon Borderless Edition (Hardback) not sure what makes any of the paper, hard, or cards different, but mine came nicely wrapped in a cardboard box with their booklet. Here's what I love about the deck: 1. Stunning graphics. Since only the major arcana have the name of the card on them, the minor really makes you study the image and read the numerals to figure out which one it is. I love how all of the characters look different and give you a sense of what the card is about in a deep, dark, twisted, sort of way. The colors and textures in the images are great too! I love vivid cards! 2. Borderless. I love that these are borderless and make the image pop. Here's what I didn't like: 1. The feel of the cards. I wasn't crazy about the type of cardstock they used. While it isn't bad, I feel if you are rough with your things, you may find these could easily be bent. For me, I just felt like for as beautiful as these are, they could have used some better cardstock. Things that didn't bother me that others mentioned: 1. The size of the cards. Due to the fact that these are borderless, they are larger. I am a 5'6 woman and I have average hands and fingers. These cards didn't feel awkward or hard to shuffle. I had no issues with the size. 2. Images. As I already stated above, I love the images in this deck. The female moons with their breasts uncovered in the images do not bother me. If you don't feel comfortable with natural anatomy, then you might feel uncomfortable by this. But, I think this gives the deck a pure, unadulterated, raw feeling. Overall, I am completely happy with his purchase. Friends who aren't even interested in tarot that have seen the deck thus far even commented on how awesome they look. I plan on using this deck a lot more in the future. If you want something different to add to your collection, I highly recommend these!

Beautifully unique
The art style is gorgeous. The card quality is great. The variety of designs and unique take on the deck is amazing. Definitely worth the money. I bought one for myself and my partner.

Stunning Artwork
These cards are so incredibly gorgeous and well made. The artwork is just breath taking, there is some normal human nudity but it's all really tasetful and artistic. The style of the artist will remind of you of a Tim Burton meets Dali, with a dark punch of Picasso in the mix. The cardstock shuffles so nicely, and the size of the cards are just right. If you collect tarot decks just for the artworks, this is a must have.

A fave for sure
I love this deck. The imagery is quirky and macabre, follows rws pretty good (even if not exact... still easy to follow) and the card stock is among the best stock I've seen. They're not too thin or overly thick and they slide nice and ruffle shuffle even better. They feel almost plastic and like they'll be pretty durable. The box is pretty standard as far as boxes go... not the best, but i keep mine in a bag anyway. Awesome deck!!!

Very interesting art, a bit slippery when shuffling
The art is very interesting, but when I tried to shuffle it is too slippery. Other than that, its a cool deck.

I absolutely love these tarot cards and never thought I would use a tarot deck as much as I have this one. I have given some extremely accurate free readings to people (I don't charge) thanks to these cards. I guess you have to find the cards you connect with. I love these and also the Les Vampires Oracle but this is my favourite deck and nothing has beaten it since in terms of artistry, excellence and its thought provoking imagery. Some people think it's sinister and I understand everyone has different views but I don't find it scary at all. The images really help you to tap into that place where insights just pop out from. I found some people loved the readings they got but didn't want to look at the cards because they scared them. To me, the characters are artistic, fun, and oddly enough the picture of the front of the Deviant Moon pack relates eerily similar to a situation in my past and subconsciously I think this is what drew me to the deck. Perhaps the images are dark to some but to me they are relatable and I also find that the same card can mean a million different things to a million different people being read. If you find this deck scary you might be looking at it the wrong way. Every reading I have done with Deviant Moon has absolutely amazed me and I even use the deck to ask my own questions and it has always been right in the answers that it has given me. In terms of probability of drawing the exact card in the outcome position that I did in my last reading in regards to a personal question was one in 78 and I am shocked at how these cards just know what the answers are to mine and others questions. I even used them for long distance readings. To be more specific, I anonymously read some people that I knew nothing about other than a nickname and the readings were said to have 100% accuracy. These cards are something else! I love when a reading comes together and starts making sense, everything falls into place and with Deviant Moon you get the whole story of what is going on in the person being reads life from start to finish. It is truly amazing and I have this beautiful deck of cards to thank for the readings I have been able to do for myself and others. The happiness they felt afterwards was far from evil or bad and so is this deck. I feel any Tarot Deck could be evil in the wrong persons hands. If you use Tarot to help people and give the messages to them responsibly without any fear mongering and the reading ends with the person who is being read happy then that is what tarot is about for me.

Wow! I have to say I am beyond happy with this purchase. This deck is beautiful, it speaks volumes to me. In case anyone is wondering, I chose the 'hardcover' option and received the Deviant Moon Borderless Edition of cards which includes the small 'leaflet'. This is my third tarot deck ever. My first was a cheap book store one with the theme of Shakespeare, I had a hard time connecting with that set of cards and eventually I fell out of tarot all together. The second was a "Easy Tarot" set which was okay ( I do have a comparison for size in the photos included which shows a "easy tarot" card and the Deviant Moon next to it) I first saw the Deviant Moon set and it captured me. I love these cards they are even better in person. If you think you might enjoy this set, do not hesitate and go for it! I highly doubt you will be unsatisfied. The package came in a proper hard cardboard box which was snug and securing the package of cards, which were wrapped up in plastic wrap, then the cardboard box, then more plastic wrap around the cards themselves. Would recommend this item! *update* It's been a week now and I'm still loving this set, worth every penny! I'm getting great readings with this deck, it's connected with me. The card stock is great as well they are holding up no problem. I thought I would include a few of my favourite cards just on imagery alone. :)
