If you mount the apple tv behind your television does is have trouble "reading" the remote signal?

Mount it at either outer edge of your TV. I had mine at the bottom with Velcro. I never had any issues with the remote. I’m buying this to better affix to the back of my TV.

How much room do you need to have between your tv and the wall in order to fit this mount to your tv?

I think you can mount it onto. I would suggest when you mount it. The bottom of the Apple TV is facing up. So that way it can disbursed the hot air from the Apple TV
