Using for type 1 and 2 motors. Absolutely awful. Feels very cheap and I honestly worry about the mound for the engine whether it will break or not. The main problem is the tri wheel design instead of four like real engine stands. Normal stands have a bar in the front for added stability. If you’re moving this across the shop it honestly starts to tip. Unfortunately the adapter is really small so it won’t fit in a normal stand either. It does technically get the job done but I wouldn’t purchase again. JBugs sells a bench mount adapter that one can cut and re-welded the mount for to use in a standard engine stand. I would tell you to do that.

This stand works excellent for its purpose, but the packaging and delivery condition leaves much to be desired. It is double boxed, but it tore thru both packages and ultimately arrived scratched and bare metal in some areas. This issue may not be with the manufacturer, more the shipping process, but be mindful it won't be showroom condition upon arrival. Yes, it's an engine stand and will ultimately be dirty, scratched and beaten, but at least allow me to make those battle scars.

Great stand for a great price. There is another type described as "for professional" but I know people who use this stand for multiple builds each year with no problem.

DO NOT BUY THIS VW ENGINE STAND. Parts were protruding through the box. Holes should be spaced 8 1/4 inches, the holes are over 9” wide. Quality is poor, already rusting. It is actually a hazard due to poor welds.
