Molten BG3000 Basketball, FIBA Approved, Synthetic Leather, Indoor/Outdoor Play, Orange/Ivory

Lovely, play with my dad in the courts all the time!

This ball is expensive and FIBA approved but it is terrible. It has no grip whatsoever. It has really obvious creasing from being in packaging that is nigh on impossible to get out. The valve broke almost immediately. A cheap rubber ball would have been better.

I’ve used this extensively outdoors on tarmac since purchase and it’s a great ball. No mis-shaping, no deflating, plenty of grip and the right amount of bounce - it feels just like an indoor ball. I love it.

Almost as good as a game ball , for a small portion of the price. Slightly more prone to scuffs compared to other outdoor balks , but durable enough to last a while

I ordered this ball as like others searched for the best outdoor ball and the molten bg3000 came up. It looked decent and although I knew it was synthetic leather it would feel a little different to the leather composites that other balls are made of I never expected it to look so poorly made for nearly £30 the synthetic leather sections are coming away from the rubber seams in places straight out of the box. I pumped it up and took it to the court for some runs and it seemed to just deflate steadily over the course of the first hour of use. By the time I woke up the next day my new ball was flat. I am not sure, maybe that its just deflating through bad materials during construction or something but it deflates all the time and doesnt hold the air. I am quite disappointed with this purchase the ball looks great and feels pretty decent to score some buckets with but the deflating really is an issue for me. I cant even refund my purchase now , so Ill just pump up the ball before I play every game and use it until it breaks. Id avoid purchasing this ball from amazon directly and maybe try molten online or through another supplier. As molten balls are normally excellent.

Exactly the ball I was after, something I could use on both an inside and outdoor court, without that full rubber feel.

Terrible basketball. Absolutely no grip. Your hands just slip off it. I couldn't understand how the no1. Basketball brand in the world could make such a poor ball untill I researched more. Its a fake molten basketball!!! See photos showing a real molten basketball with the barcode and valve text printed (not embossed) on the ball as the print doesnt affect grip. The fake ball is in the other photo and has an embossed barcode and text. Molten never emboss their barcode and text as the embossed areas are slippy. This is a fake ball. Google fake molten and you will see hundreds of posts about fake molten balls.
