Worked perfectly to add two monitors to my new PC. Just plug it in and run two cables to the monitors! Only one port being used which is perfect for someone with multiple things (other than monitors) that need plugged in.

Just got this. I have a desktop and laptop. I got this thinking I could use it for both devices but I was mistaken. It worked great on the Windows 11 laptop with its native USB C ports and even on the powered docking station with USB power. The Windows 10 desktop has USB 3 and 3.1 ports, but they are USB A, not USB C. And it does not support USB power. And while the blue power light on the HDMI adapter came on when plugged into the PC, it was not detected by Windows 10 at all. I checked adapters and everything I could think of to get it to detect and nothing worked. I tested two other USB C HDMI adapters (Dell & HP) and they detected and installed drivers without issue, but reported "Display Limited" and would not show a picture. So, two possible issues - It is not supported by Windows 10 (unlikely) or you need a USB power device, such as a powered hub or laptop that supports power over USB. Either way, if you are trying to use this for a desktop PC and don't have a supported power over USB port, avoid this product. It will not work!

This inexpensive adapter allows my 800$ MacBook Air to connect to flatscreen tvs with an HDMI port and play videos through my laptop. Previously all of my friends had been able to play videos on the tv through their laptops, but because I only have USBC outlets on my laptop I hadn’t thought that I could. I had been frustrated by this because it is an expensive laptop after all and you would expect it to be able to do something so basic. I had been contemplating what it would mean to sell this laptop on eBay and get another that had an hdmi port. But it occurred to me one day that they might be something as simple as an adapter, and after a quick search I ordered this. When it arrived I tried it out and now I am one of the cool kids that can play movies on the tv from my laptop.

Works well into converting a USB-C/Thunderbolt port into an HDMI connection. I used this to be able to connect both a MacBook Pro and then an iPad to a projector during a luncheon. We were able to plug and un-plug between both the laptop and the tablet without any issues. The video may have taken a second to register but our projector immediately recognized either source within a few seconds. The build of this unit feels solid. Keep in mind that it does not charge your laptop or mobile device while in use. You may have to get a USB/Thunderbolt hub that can accomplish this if you need to have active power while viewing video content. Recommended.

I bought this to connect Dell screens with HDMI cables to my Lenovo Thinkpad. After about a month, the connections to the ports in the adapter seemed to get loose. Then, the USBC plug stopped working in one of my USBC ports on the laptop so I had to switch to a different port. Finally, it stopped working, just after the return window closed. Disappointing.

We travel a lot, and the entertainment can be spotty in hotel rooms. I have used this, with a long HDMI, to cast Netflix / Max /Prime to a TV with great success. Sometimes you don’t need this if you can screen mirror with your phone or iPad (depending on the age of the TV), and sometimes it will not work if you cannot figure out how to access the inputs on the TV, but those are problems with the TV, not this little adapter. Love it.
