I've purchased three dash mats over the past 2-3 or so years. When I bought the first one, I don't recall ever seeing any others available that had a silicone non-slip backing. It came with double sided tape, but I didn't want to put tape goo on my new car dash, especially if the heat would melt the tape and leave a trail of goo. I was therefore constantly having to reposition it from sliding around. I thought there has to be something better. I recently looked for a new dash mat, but now I saw there are some with a silicone non-slip backing. The second one worked great, but the cut was far inferior. It was short in some places, and too long in others, even though I had jammed it back into where the dash and windshield meet. It was also different than the product photos, and covered the light sensor. I'm returning that second one. I'll also mention though, it came rolled up in the packaging, so I just had to lay it flat for a day and then it laid out on the dash pretty well. I would have kept, if the cut/fit was better. I then bought this product. The cut is pretty much perfect, the light sensor isn't covered, and the silicone non-slip backing works well. The problem is, it looks like it's been folded up (instead of rolled) in it's packaging and left on a shelf for a significant amount of time, to the point where the fabric of the most inner folded flap is frayed / kind of partially cut. The seller had contacted me, so I responded by telling them the issue, specifically about the damaged fabric. Their solution was for me to lay it flat (longer than I had already), iron it, or put it in the dryer. I again mentioned the damaged fabric. Their response was the crease will fade with time, I could try a hair drier, or fold it in the opposite direction for 24 hours (again, no response to the damaged / frayed fabric). At that point I asked them to stop contacting me, because they obviously were not reading or understanding my messages. Well, they still decided to message me again, asking for photos, etc. I, again, reminded them that I didn't want any further contact. However, they've just sent me another message. I'm not sure how to block them, but I'm done dealing with this company. Maybe you'll get one that's been folded over in the package for a shorter amount of time, so maybe yours will be acceptable? Hopefully they'll learn to roll it up, and then they can leave it on a shelf for however long they want. Lastly, I'll mention that it is a suede type material. So if you run your hand over some of it in one direction, and then in another direction next or near to it, it looks like two different shades of black. This doesn't really bother me, but it may to you. I'm also a little concerned with how this suede type material will hold up in the sun. It's a little hard to tell at this point (when it's brand new) if this is made of that cheap sude type material that will just start disintegrating, like black dust coming off of it, with extended sun and heat exposure.
