HT Rebuild & Mod GM Turbo 400 Trans (Workbench How to Series)

this gm turbo 400 transmissions book.is a great way to learn.it is very easy to read.and very technical book.great color pictures to go along in the beginning to the last of the rebuilding.it also tells about how to buy the parts that works the best for a street or all out racing transmission.and I would much rather learn from a book that can't afford to tell you a lie.this book has taught me a lot.and I plan on keeping this book for reference.

the book is well illustrated and covers every little tip that an unexperienced rebuilder will need, each problem or question that arose for me ,was covered in the book and explained away some of the fears of what I had got myself into,,the advantage I found with a book is that I sat it on the fender of the car and could refer to it instantly,I thought about it later that if it had have been a DVD I would have been running back and forward into the house to the video player to make references,Ithink I made the right choice and if you are like me you can study the illustrations at will,, and not have to be rewinding the video and finding the bit that you were looking for and trying to remember it as you go back out to the workshop....of course none of this would be a problem if you rebuild your gearbox in the lounge room Only kidding!!!!!!!!

Bought it by suggestion of others. Good book with great pictures, but probably wouldn’t buy it again. Just buy the atsg book. This book doesn’t have many clearances or Tq specs. Just kind of picture book. The atsg is everything you need to do aside from some small mods like the converter charge pressure restriction and rollerizing the output shaft.

It's a great guide for a mechanic who wants to tackle a TH 400.

Great book! Doesn't tell all but tells stuff that the others don't. Its a must have for the person who wants to know everything about the TH400 and supplement their 400 library. One thing that really stands out is the quality of the illustrations and the way the book is laid out, fantastic. Very easy to understand a real eye opener. I hope they come out with a second edition with more detail. Highly recommend! Great gift for the beginner.

I've never come across such a clear and well photographed instruction book, it takes you through the build process step by step. Can't recommend highly enough if you're thinking of tackling a rebuild for the first time.

I have not read it completely through yet, but plan on it because I want to rebuild my own competition trany.
