Huge and powerful shower panel
My first impression, this is huge! my 2nd impression, this is powerful. 3rd, this is very modern. My feeling, this is a big macho shower good enough for Arnold Schwarzenegger, a John Wayne machine, it is big. It is shiny. The top horizontal part is far longer than I anticipated, that is good, no problem showering without getting to close to the panel. Our home is under remodeling, finally on week 3, worker installed 2 shower panels, I came home to check out the progress, "Wow! this is huge!" it is about 50% larger or double the size I expected, I am glad I designed the shower stall to be larger. I have bought and used these shower panels for years, bought 3 more for the current remodel. As far as being reliable and good quality in daily use, they all are good, personally I wouldn't go back to the old fashion shower things. I tried the water, Wow, it is powerful, a very manly shower for real man. It fits the bill far more than anticipated, I like it big and powerful. High quality functions, build and materials. As for the design, I wanted a minimalistic modern hitech industrial design for our modern home, this is elementarily geometric in design, a simple 90 degree steel panel, all others are too complicated or too sissy, this has the cleanest lines. Being so big, it is not as elegant as anticipated, but BIG has its own beauty, that is something I will need to take time to absorb and make the design judgment in due time. $200 is an excellent value by any measure, $1,000s less than anything European and modern. This is mine, I don't want to see this in anybody else's homes, so don't buy it, it is too big and too modern for you, the strong water will sweep you out of the bathroom.

Could be better
The installation process was painless after the per assembly. There should be a rubber grommet protecting the water hose going through the top and connecting to the shower head and waterfall connections. The hole in the stainless steel is very sharp. I'm not sure if the hoses jump when the water is turned on but I taped the hoses for some protection. As for the operation I believe the design needs work. It seems you can not dial the shower type you would like to use without having the water turning on. Waterfall, shower head, hand shower or panel jets. Once you start turning the top control before you reach the desired position the water starts running. Not a big deal if your taking a shower. But if your cleaning the shower keep out of the way. The marking on the trim (top & bottom controls) type shower and the temperature are tiny and hard to see. There is no indication or start point on either control. An arrow would be nice.... Turn the arrow to the hand shower and it turns on, etc. Looking at the top control knob Shower Waterfall O The control is square not round. Body Jets Handheld To use the handheld shower I'm thinking turn the control clockwise to the right symbol. But instead you have to turn it counter clockwise toward the overhead shower symbol. Which means there should be an arrow pointing down on the top control. There is no indication of direction. The directions state”To operate the unit turn the bottom knob counter-clockwise to set water flow and temperature.” There is no way to shut off the water from this knob and has very little affect on flow. Conclusion: Looks nice but design is poor. Should have a detailed operation manual not just two sentences. See Pictures from when it was just installed. I'll use this for a while but I think I will replace it.

Avoid at all cost. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM DECOR STAR.
Awful experience. Firstly, let me say this: it offers a great shower experience at a really good price point. Unfortunately, it is cheaply made and there is ABSOLUTELY NO SUPPORT offered from Décor Star. In fact, they don't even have a customer service phone number or address. You can only try to reach them via email, which they apparently never bother to check. This unit offered a great shower experience, but it started to leak from one of the side control knobs. I had it looked at by my contractor and then a plumber. They were unable to fix it. As such, I emailed the company 5 times over a two week interval and received no response. I ended up calling Amazon and they graciously agreed to accept a return and refund my money, even though it was 2 and a 1/2 months after I purchased it. So, in summary, avoid this company at all costs or you may be stuck out in the cold with a defective product and NO SUPPORT. One other thing: when it did work, it provided so much water and so much pressure that our full sized water tank was depleted after each shower. This wound not work for a family, or really anyone that wants to shower within and hour of when somebody else showered.

good for the price BUT... a few design drawbacks if you are picky or eco-conscious.
NOV 2015: last photo shows, you can mount the handheld shower portion directly on to the side of the shower panel instead of on the wall. drill carefully and use zinc (non-rusting!) screws. angled down, the "handheld" can be used as the main shower head. this is useful of you don't want to get your hair wet when showering, since the rainfall shower may do that. :-) AUGUST 2015: i've noticed a lot of people ask general questions about what the back of this is like and how it attaches to the wall so... when i had to take this down to take care of a dribbling leak (hose directly on the panel valve had come a touch loose), i took a pic of the back of the unit. essentially you need a hot and cold water lead coming out of the wall. you simply attach the hoses on the back of the shower panel to them. then you hang the panel on two hooks that screw into the wall. btw in anything but the hand shower mode, i still think this uses way too much water... so we only use the hand shower mode. (live in los angeles... major drought in l.a... and california.) we attached the hand shower direct to the left side of the unit (the side without the knobs), with the holder slightly angled down (and not i.e., holding the straight out) so it is positioned likiooe a normal shower head. ;-) --------------------- OCTOBER 2013: i had to replace a leaky wall panel shower by hansgrohe, and the dealer told me it would probably be more than $200 to replace a valve. for that price (and since the unit was over 8 years old and likely other things were going to fail...), i discovered i could probably buy a whole new shower panel based on prices i had seen on amazon and ebay. quite honestly, even the dealer (even tho they only sold very high end fixtures), told me the same! i was initially attracted to this unit because of 1) price -- it was really inexpensive, relatively speaking! 2) it said it hid fingerprints, and anyone who cleans stainless items knows how difficult it can be to remove smudges! 3) it seemed to have a modern clean design, as well as fit the space of the shower panel i was removing. this is a very well-priced unit. it's also relatively attractive, seems (after 2 months of use now) to be made well. but if i had to buy it all over again, to be honest i probably wouldn't. this is **only** because one thing i mistakenly neglected to search for was a pressure valve / knob on the unit. my hansgrohe unit (totally overpriced at $800!), not only had a temperature valve, it had a second valve that controlled flow -- from mild and somewhat water-conserving, to wow-that's-as-strong-as a waterfall pressure! i totally get some people love high thunderous water pressure. but me, i'm the kind to turn off the shower as i soap up (i read you should do that to help conserve!). and i also hate my utility bill which is hundred$ and hundred$ a month! i also like taking energy/water-efficient showers. i still feel clean, but i also feel good about starting my day! so... when i turned on this unit, oh boy was i literally deluged and surprised with how much water it was using! it was like a flood pouring onto my head! and if you turn on the body panels, it's like 3x a flood! i think a way to use the unit and conserve is simply use the handheld shower part. we actually attached it TO the side of the unit, at such and such height, and angled down, so it can act like the main shower if you want to! it is more than enough water and pressure for a very comfy shower that will get you squeaky clean! (see pics... and why amazon only lets you load landscape-oriented pics... i do not know!...) so... although yes i like the unit, in retrospect i would have much preferred one that overall uses less water and/or has a water pressure valve! but in buying a unit, i had forgotten to search for that feature! my second criticism is, although this says "hides fingerprints!" on the brushed panel, what it does NOT hide are water spots! so you will have to clean it just as normally as you'd have to clean any panel! yes -- finger prints are hard to see! but water spots on it, are not! and they copiously form inbetween the rubber nozzles of which there are dozens and dozens! so in truth, it is not any less time to clean this than any other shower panel i've had! so... what i'd say is, if you're not particularly looking for a water-saving shower panel, and want a modern, inexpensive and sleek design -- this is a well priced and attractive unit! if you don't need a shower that BLASTS you with water like a firehose...(!), then i would search for something a little more expensive that has pressure control! but... definitely not bad for the price! though you may end up paying more for it in terms of overall water use!

Bad engineering and finish make this product a "must pass"
The fit and finish of this item feels a little cheap, but what gets me the most, it's the function knob. This is the third modern shower I've owned, and thus far this one is the most absurd when it comes to opening the faucet. There is temperature control at the bottom, but the open/shut valve is the same as the function one..this is so dumb....you have to go through the settings, in order to open the valve, but it doesn't start with the top valve first, it starts with the wand,or the front ones...so either way, you're going to get wet by a cold stream coming at you, before you can turn it on to the top...so bad. If I had a chance to do it over, I'd get the AKDY 63" Stainless Steel Thermostatic Rainfall Waterfall Style Multi-Function Shower Tower Panel Massage System w/ Handheld Wand. Now, you might ask why I didn't rate this a "I hate it"...well, when the water is warm, and the actual rain shower is coming down, it feel fantastic...it's just a shame I have to get a fresh dose of cold water in my face in order to get that.

Great Product - especially for the price
I just completed a complete remodel of my guest bath, finally dragging it out of the 90's. I removed the tub and converted the space to a shower, plus new tile, vanity, paint, hardware, lighting, towels, etc. When I was researching which shower head to purchase, I stumbled on the shower panel idea, which appealed to me - but my budget didn't allow for the high-end panels, since I had splurged on a Silkroad Exclusive vanity, (which is another story - and another review). I try to stay with Amazon Prime purchases whenever possible, and this one was one of the most affordable - with very good reviews. I finally decided to take the chance and order - and I couldn't be happier with the purchase! So were all of my Christmas house-guests! They were unanimous in pronouncing it the best shower they ever had! When I rehab my master bathroom, one of these is going to part of the project. One caution. If you have a single handle shower valve (like I did), it will need to be converted to a 2-handled (separate hot and cold hook-up) before you can install this (or any other) panel. The panel has it's own regulator knob, along with the mode selector knob, located on the right side of the unit. Once we had accomplished the conversion, installation was a breeze!

As good or better than we hoped, for $200 it's really a great buy
This is as good or better than we hoped. The sprays are strong (esp handheld), easy install (although only like 8in wide so pretty tight tolerances to have hole behind covered. They show a washer wall box in the manual but those are different fittings so not sure how meant to install. We have Pex plastic, so got a sharkbite type fitting at lowes with 1/2 MIP and works fine. Tough to get both hangers perfect distance apart but install is screw two hangers on the wall and hang unit. Mine came with like five mystery washers. A bit disconcerting but I guess too many better than too few. Also had spare handle nibs- like this was a return or something BUT all was perfect condition so we're happy. Overall it's an easy install (assuming some skills) and nobody would thing you didn't spend $1000 at some upscale bath showroom. Only negative is maybe a tiny bit too close to wall- I wish the top came out maybe another inch or two. That said, it's nicely centered in a 36x36 shower. If you have bigger- like a tub/shower- I'd recommend a style with adjustable aiming showerhead.

Could be better
I bought the Blue Ocean 66 inch, it was to big for the space we wanted to use it so we bought this model. It works ok so far but cheap feeling. Rubber spray nozzles bend easily when cleaning unit. Leak from hand held hose from inside unit. Plumber said fittings are not brass so don't expect it to last a very long time and you can only use one function at a time. But for the price you can't beat it. Great water flow. The unit does not have the USA standards for water saving so you get a great powerful shower but unit is made in China so when it come to saving water if you live in a area where the's a water shortage you'll feel guilty. One of the benefits of living in the Northeast.
