AWESOME Especially for elderly or vision impaired! Very quiet, the child lock (that is required and cannot be disabled) is th easiest one on the market. Cooks well, responds to Alexa commands. My family member is a petite, severely vision impaired 95 year old who can linger see the buttons. This has restored some of her independence. She already ysed Alexa for basics (timers, alarms, weather, reminders) and this was so easy for her to add in. If I needed/wanted a countertop microwave, I would Definitely order this one!

Love this microwave which I have had for over 5 years and it still works great!! Pros: Energy Saving ECO Mode when I’m not using it. 30sec start or add to time. Auto Settings for recipes. Easy to Clean. Microwaves meals quickly due to 1100 W. BUT BEST OF ALL IS THE ABILITY TO CONTROL IT THROUGH ALEXA!! I don’t even have to be in the same room to tell the microwave to do its thing. Stop, start, cook on high for X minutes then switch to a different power level for X minutes. If I have my hands full and I just want to add 30 secs, just tell Alexa. Personally I will never have another microwave without Alexa because of the convenience. I’ve accidentally left my coffee in the microwave and gone to my home-office and I’ll tell Alexa to reheat my Coffee and by the time I get back to the kitchen, it is nice and hot and ready to drink! Also I know this is a small thing but I love the handle on the door. I’ve had microwaves with that little push button thing to open the door and they all eventually break. The microwave still works, but you can’t open the door. That’s why I like a handle on my microwave door. CONs: There aren’t any! Now I want an Alexa compatible Toshiba microwave that is a convection oven, can Air-Fry, Grill, and has a handle on the Door! So come on Toshiba!! Give us a product that does it all because you make long lasting quality products and with MATTER it will be simple for even those people who complained they couldn’t get Alexa to work. Can’t wait to buy your upgraded version of this high quality microwave!

Best Microwave we have ever owned. Let's start with dislike. First of all the app is not available in the Amazon App Store. Only Apple and Google, neither will do you much good if you're using a Kindle or other Amazon product. I do have an iPhone (unfortunately– that's just an editorial comment) which has Alexa and it would not pair even though the skill was enabled. Called Amazon Customer Service and spoke to James (I wish I could remember his last name) who was absolutely awesome. He checked with the Alexa engineers who diagnosed the issue and were absolutely sure it was not their problem. This took a little over a week and he called back every few days to give me an update. Eventually I was told I had to check with Toshiba they were polite but not helpful. The CSR did give me a service ticket number, and told me they would be in touch in a couple of days – which they didn't do. I called Toshiba back in a week and they told me that Amazon made them fully aware of the problem and asked for my patience. James from Amazon called back exactly when he said he would. I told him situation with Toshiba and he asked to be informed via email what was going on. On a different order I had a return that needed Supervisory Authorization, nothing serious - all is good. I spoke to a supervisor by the name of Jona who was absolutely incredible. As a former salesman and customer service manager I expect the best and believe me she is! Jona said she would call me back; she gave me a specific time and date and both times it was exactly as she said. Back to the microwave. Jona must've lit a fire under somebody's chair because the microwave and Alexa are now a team. it's FAST, it's EASY and it's ACCURATE if a mistake were to be made it was because we said something wrong not the handshake between Alexa and the microwave. We purchased the Alexa enabled appliance because my wife has rheumatoid arthritis. This product along with several other kitchen appliance and gadgets we purchased from Amazon have helped ease the pain. Frankly, when I saw that there were now appliances compatible with Alexa I thought that was going to extremes (AND we have six Echo products around the house). This 1100w Toshiba is the perfect size 700w is too small even for two people.. I generally don't take the time I should to write a review; but this microwave deserves five stars. By the way Amazon customer service deserves 10 five each for Jona and James.

Arrived late, but in good condition. When used as a normal microwave, works as expected. I had seen some negative reviews saying the door was hard to open. I didn’t find this to be so. That being said, while it works just fine using the built in keypad, the app seems to have been written by someone who never used a microwave. (Hence only 4 stars) And to be fair, if you ignore the promise of smart capability, the oven looks good, and is offered at a decent price. Downloading the SmartHome (Midea) app was easy, as was setting up the account. It did not autodetect my device, but once I selected the manufacturer (Toshiba) there was only one option, and it just worked from there. The app has several presets, but in the interest of keeping it basic, I tried the ‘Microwave’ button, after which I had the option to choose a Power Level, an Hour, and a Minute. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been using microwave ovens since they were introduced, and I don’t think I’ve ever zapped something for an hour. I have, however, frequently nuked things for 30 seconds, or five and a half minutes. Not an option. When I cook something, the device screen shows my oven, and the hours and minutes remaining. For 30 seconds, it shows 00:01. Tips like they copied the code from a toaster oven or air fryer and said ‘Good enough’ To be fair, if I take it to the Appliance level, it shows minutes and seconds, and even gives me the option to pause it, and change the power level. However, if I do that, the clock jumps to the nearest minute. However, I can cook for 30 seconds using Alexa. Saying ‘Microwave for 30 seconds’ gets a reply of ?????, but saying 30 seconds on Microwave gets me, well, 30 seconds on the microwave. Finally, one of the reasons I picked this oven, and it’s promise of smart capability was that I have a couple of other smart cookers, and one of the best features is that I get an alert when the cooking is done. This does not occur by default with this app, and I have not found any settings to change this. So…. Right now, the WiFi component just means that I don’t have to reset my clock when the power goes out, but I’m hopeful that this information gets forwarded to the development team, who will fix it on the next update.

Perfect size and function for what I need. Stylish design and wifi option. I love the signal for letting you know your food is ready its a nice jingle instead of obnoxious beeping. Good value.

It is WiFi as a new feature for microwaves it has child lock even when is not in power. Connect is very easy. This one is 1.2 cu. Is enough for a small family. I like it as a replacement of a large Samsung microwave. The seller is shipping it in it’s original manufacturer box and another one large for safety purposes. I recommend this microwave. Thanks

This review was meant for the software provider for Toshiba, not the microwave. There were a couple of problems with the microwave staying connected to Alexa. This occurred after the software app did some updates. These problems were resolved and the oven works great with Alexa. Why voice control for a microwave? My 94 y/o mother is nearly blind. It works great for her. Also comes in handy for me when I’m cooking and am preoccupied with other cooking tasks. I simply ask Alexa to thaw, or warm at a lower power level, etc. The microwave itself is powerful and simple to use. I am very happy with this microwave. Whether you want Alexa integration or not, I highly recommend this Toshiba microwave. Alexa integration suddenly stopped working. When trying to control the Microwave, Alexa responds, “Toshiba Microwave oven is not responding”. Alexa control worked without problem for 3 months. Amazon, please see several recent reviews with this same problem dated 3/4/21. Coincidently, Alexa control stopped working around the same date that the MSmartLife app was updated. My mother is nearly blind and depends on the Alexa integration to operate the Microwave. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

This is a good microwave, but also very frustrating. I can't connect it to my Xfinity internet to use Alexia. The app did not work on my Android phone. I purchased it on March 3rd, 2026. It can be used without Wi-Fi, so that is what I am doing. I have had technical support, but it did not even work. I see I am not the only one with issues. The microwave itself, I would rate 7, but the wi-fi, I would rate 1.

Me funciono muy bien con Alexa en MX, el tip sería cambiarle la región a ESTADOS UNIDOS solo en la app del micro msmart… y todo bien llego antes 🫶🏽 ojalá y dure años

This microwave is enormous. My husband and I had a fight because the microwave wouldn't fit in its designated area, suspended over the counter. About 1cm of it is hanging out, but other than that, it is gorgeous, very potent (we have to put less time than regular microwaves, otherwise it boils), it is silent (you can completely turn off the sound, but even when it is on, it is just one short beep, which is great when you have a baby sleeping). It is beautiful, easy to use, and clean. Very much pleased with this product.

Alexa works perfect .still going years later

Tras hacer pruebas y hablar a soporte técnico de Alexa, me dijeron que este horno no es compatible con Alexa en México, levanté mi queja en Amazon para que inclusive cambien la publicación cosa que a la fecha no han hecho, y siguen engañando a la gente diciendo que es compatible con Alexa en México, Lo que repito está totalmente verificado que en México no funciona según Amazon, deberían de cambiar la publicación!
