The End of the Punk Era
Though by 1989 the band was mostly running on fumes in the studio, this UK collection of five complete albums from that year to 1995 is nothing short of impressive. The albums are Brain Drain (1989), Loco Live (1991), Mondo Bizarro (1992), Acid Eaters (1993) and Adios Amigos! (1995). Loco Live has a different track listing than the U.S. release on Sire Records and Adios Amigos! is the final studio album, which features the single, I Don't Want To Grow Up, which peaked at #30 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. There are 84 songs, which brings to end the punk era that the Ramones carved out - and others followed - way back in the 1970s.

This CD is an excellent buy for anyone who is a Ramones fan or is just starting to get to know the band.

This great value compilation delivers 5 bone fide Ramones albums in one package, included in full are, Brain Drain, Mondo Bizzaro, Acid Eaters, Adios Amigo and 'Loco Live'. Now the later part of their career for myself was not their strongest period but there are still loads of brilliant tracks here and to also include 'Loco Live' is the icing on the cake, a cake which this package allows you to own and eat. The ridiculously low price makes this an essential compilation and very convenient for completists. You can also buy 'The Sire Years' for a low price on Amazon which packages their first 6 albums together. The Sire Years and The Chrysalis Years give you 11 Ramones albums leaving only 4 albums from their mid period for you to collect should you wisely wish to own all the studio recordings. This is a no brainer, buy it.

後期のアルバム5枚が、CD3枚にぜーんぶ入っています！ CD-1 ・BRAIN DRAIN（'04英盤のボートラ "Pet Semetary" は無し） ・ACID EATERS（国内盤のボートラ「サーフィン・サファリ」は無し、"Spiderman" 入り） CD-2 ・MONDO BIZARRO（'04英盤のボートラ "Spiderman" は、上記CD-1に収録 ） ・ADIOS AMIGOS（国内盤のボートラ「ラモーンズ」は無し） CD-3 ・LOCO LIVE（EUバージョン：33曲入り） ※「LOCO LIVE」は、EU盤とUSA 盤で「収録曲目」と「収録曲数」が違うみたいです。 2012年に、ぜーんぶ集めたよ！という「３７曲：２CDモノ」が発売されたみたいですね。 amazonで検索すると、ジャケットの写真（メンバーの動き）が違うので、すぐ判ると思います。 後期のスタジオ・アルバム４枚は、この３CD セットで初めて聴いたのですが、 ラモーンズの歴史に興味津々の私には、とても楽しめる作品です。 これらの作品を、初期～絶頂期と比較して評するのは、愚行だと思いますね。 "LOCO LIVE" は、最初に聴くライブ盤ではない・・・と思っています。 まず、1977年12月31日ロンドン・レインボーシアターでの「イッツ・アライヴ」。 次に、1978年1月7日NYC : THE PALLADIUM での 「RAMONES NYC 1978 : KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR ARCHIVE SERIES」。 んで、セカンド・アルバム「リーヴ・ホーム」のリマスター盤に収録されたボートラ、 ライブ１６曲 " Live at the ROXY, Hollywood, CA 8/12/1976 " この三つは、強力なライブ音源だと思っています。 しかし、この３CDセット・・・中古、安っ！! ラモーンズの歴史に敬意を払うお方にお勧めします。 ここからラモーンズを聴き始めるのは・・・お勧めしないです。 その前に初期のスタジオ録音８作品（ラモンーンズの激情 ～トゥー・タフ・トゥ・ダイまで） をお聴きになることをお勧めします。

Pour une somme dérisoire les 5 derniers albums des Ramones. Seul bémol, les albums ne sont pas individualises sur la pochette, ce qui fait qu'il est difficile de savoir a quel album appartient le morceau écouté. C'est un peu dommage.
