I want to connect my video camera to wirecast (a live video streaming software) on my mac does anyone know if this will work, or what I should use?

Josh, Are you trying to case a analog (s-video) video stream or a digital (HDMI) video stream? I can test the wirecast software on Mac OS X 10.5 (Lion) tomorrow. If you have a newer OS X such as 10.8+, this device is not compatible.
