Ultra Premium Medium Timothy Hay for Small Pets - 10 lb Box - Farm Fresh & Nutritious

Quality crunchy hay. It is pricey but if you buy the five pound boxes the cost per pound is much better. I tried a few small bags and different types of hay and now that I know it’s good I’ve started ordering the big boxes. The guinea pigs don’t get sick of it, they love it.

Quality hay. “Medium” is a nice balance of leafy strands and chewy stems. Bunny loves the fragrance.

Excellent product

My rabbit only eats the hay from this brand. There are some changes recently to the hay but the seller is nice and they are happy to explain to me what the issue is. Will keep purchasing from them!

I was using kaytee wafer cut Timothy hay and decided to try this product instead. My reasons for trying this product was for 2 reasons. First reason being that my 3 year old rabbit kept sneezing due to the previous hays we've tried. I had tried different cuts and other products but he kept sneezing and I know after many discussions with his vet it was the hay dust causing this. So that was my main reason. My second reason was because I felt I was paying for a quarter of the hay I was previously buying for just hay dust. So I got this hat in a few days ago and appearance alone was a big difference compared to the previous company I bought from. This hat was a dark green. The first time I grabbed some of this hay I could feel a huge difference, this hay was soft! So I gave my 3 rabbits this new hay and I didnt have all this hay dust flying around their room. All 3 of my bunnies approve of this new hay especially my 3 year old boy cause in a few day I've noticed hes barely sneezing anymore. This company has a customer for life as I will always own bunnies.

My little rabbit is particularly picky about what he eats. I have tried several brands of hay from pet stores and here on Amazon. He jumps right in when I give him Rabbit Hole Hay! When I open the bag it smells amazing; it's always fresh and green. Thanks for a wonderful product!

1st bag was the smaller size and my guinea pig absolutely loved it! He is picky with his hay. 2nd time I got 5lb box and it was not the same though both were 2nd cut. It was extremely stemmy and hard. It was like small twigs. You could probably stab someone with it. Disappointed as it is quite pricey and I thought I found my new go-to hay.

A few weeks ago I decided to try Rabbit Hole Hay Second Cut Timothy Hay just to see if my guinea pigs would prefer this brand (it shipped quicker than the Oxbow). I first ordered 1 pound, and it was green, fresh, and my guinea pigs loved it, but it didn't last long. I immediately ordered five pounds. I should have known better not to use it when I opened the bag. The whole bag was basically straw (brown, very long and difficult to break apart), and not the soft Western Timothy hay I received before. Instead of throwing it out (I assumed I wouldn't be able to get a refund) I tried out a sample for my guinea pigs, and they ate it-- most likely because it had a lot of those fuzzy parts that they love. I decided to give them this hay until the next order of Oxbow arrived. Unfortunately, today one of my guinea pig's eyes had white film over it (she was perfectly fine the night before), and the lower lid was slightly swollen (the photo below shows a close up of her eye after the vet cleaned it out). The vet determined she has a laceration across her eyeball (you can see a white strip across her eyeball which is the cut). I've had my two guinea pigs for almost three years, and something like this has never happened before. I believe she received this injury from this hay. Of course there is no way to one hundred percent determine this accident occurred because of this hay, but the vet did say that it looked like a deep scratch from hay (the vet is an exotic pets vet and has seen an injury like this one quite a few times). Their bedding is fleece, so there is no way it was due to flaky bedding such as cedar chips. I am devastated by what happened to my guinea pig. Like I said before, my guinea pigs have never had an accident like this in the past. I will never buy from this company again, and I strongly urge everyone to make sure the quality of the hay is what it should be before giving it to your guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. This company needs to practice quality control. What this company sent me is not second cut Timothy hay, but probably first cut (seemingly more appropriate for horses rather than small animals such as guinea pigs).

Well for the 1st two packets... the hay was good, soft and full of fragrance but the recent packet that I recieved isnt that much difference from the o****w timothy hay i used to buy...
