Another great case by Gator
Let me preface my review by saying that I initially ordered a different case and had to return it because it arrived damaged - and that originally annoyed me, but then I went back to the drawing board and found this case, and I'm glad that it all happened this way, because this case was the clear winner - hands down - no comparison. All of my equipment fit snugly into this case and it is both compact, lightweight, and feels well made / durable. Even the screws and washers that were included were much better quality than what I had previously ordered. My husband, who normally doesn't take an interest in technology was even impressed and commented on how much better this design is and how glad he was that we didn't keep the damaged unit that I had originally intended to use. The only thing that I probably would have liked to see is some interior cable organization. As you can see, the backside is a bit of a rat's nest of cords. But that's also my particular use case scenario, and there's a good chance that somebody else would say that any cable management system would be in the way of what *they* are intending to use this for, so I also get that it might not be a great idea. But *maybe* there is some sort of modular cable management that could be added or removed? It's not a big deal and I'll probably figure something out once I have an idea of how the whole thing works in real life. But let me just say, I am absurdly excited about this find and I love it more than I should. A brief word about bias - I paid full price for this case and was not paid to offer my opinion. I also bought Gator bags for my two keyboards and my mixer and I can say that each bag has lived up to my expectations over time. The bags have kept my gear safe and made it easier to transport. I actually couldn't wait to get on here and write a review because I was so tickled with how nicely my gear fit into this rack bag - because the truth is, I love writing positive reviews and I hated that I felt obligated to write an honest review of the other unit that I had to send back. It feels good to buy a product that exceeds my expectations. Another side note ... a different reviewer commented that they couldn't use the included screws because the heads were too big. Perhaps they changed the screws that they included, because as you can see from my photos - I was able to use their screws and I had no issues with them. So hopefully that can set some minds at ease - I know that I nearly proactively ordered different screws and now I'm glad I didn't because these screws were of very good quality and they worked just fine for me (not doubting or questioning the experience of the other reviewer, though.)

Great Protection and Perfect for Portable Wireless Racks
I’ve been really happy with this Gator 3U rack bag. I’m currently using it with a Furman power conditioner in the top space and two Shure wireless units inside, and it works extremely well for my setup. The case feels very solid and offers much better protection than I expected from a soft rack bag. It’s sturdy enough that if someone accidentally steps on it during load-in or setup, I still feel confident that my gear is protected. That peace of mind is definitely worth it. Yes, the extra protection does add a little weight, but for me it’s not an issue at all when transporting it. I’d much rather have the durability. My only suggestion would be to include rear rack rails or rack screw options in the back. I’d love to be able to mount one of my antennas back there for an even cleaner setup. Overall, this is a very well-made rack bag and I would definitely buy it again.

Happy about this purchase
After reading a couple reviews of concern regarding inside depth, I measured my gear and took a chance. Gear consists of Furman SMP EVS-LiFT, ART 6 channel Head Amp Pro, PreSonus Studio 192, and Focusrite Scarlett OctoPre. I replaced the power cables of ART & Focusrite with short ones. For the Studio 192, I attached Velcro to the power pak and its neatly attached and out of the way. The pouch on the side is useful for storing the Furman power cable. Short patch cables rounds out the rig and I’m quite happy. No depth problem. Not enough time spent with this for road worthy review, but like anything, being mindful of gear will repay the user with long use. Some have complained of the shoulder strap... while I’d be tempted to use it, I probably won’t as all that equipment is heavy and the weight alone “could” create a physical issue for the user. I’m content with the handles provided. Other lighter gig bags for cables n such, along with laptop can go over the shoulders. Since I use a laptop with this rig the pouch is “sort of a bother” but nothing to furrow the brow over. Price I thought reasonable.

Top of the line
I own several Gator products and they all are well built and well-finished. You do pay more, but I've always felt my equipment was well protected. The 2 rack bag is built solidly. The zippers on the flaps are large and high quality and the internal frame seems dimensionally stable and able to withstand a lot of punishment. The mounting frame is well-finished and tolerances and fit are tight. I've owned this bag for over two years and it has been subject to a lot of abuse as well as constant removal and changeout of rack components. It has held up exceptionally well both externally and internally. I almost feel I could stand on it and it would support my weight, even though I'd never try that! For "soft" bags, Gator seems to be the best in my experience. I never worry about my components being damaged, and isn't that what you buy a bag for? This bag is designed well and well-made!

Bag and rack are fine, screws and washers are too big to be used
Bag and rack portion are fine. Knocked one star because the included screws and washers are actually too wide and extend past the boundary of 1U so would overlap the screws and washers of the adjoining slot if you used them. Grab a different M5 screw and washer.

Another great case from Gator
This rack bag is very well built. It is much better constructed than the 25 year old Calzone case it is replacing, so I expect to not have to ever replace it. It is large enough to hold full-size boxes, in this case a 2U QSC power amp which is a bit more than 12" deep. Recessed rails in the front protect knobs. Rear panels are easily accessible and there are feet to protect the zippered rear flap. Lots of pockets and very nice rack screws & washers included. I am a professional bass player. I have found that hard, molded racks develop various buzzes over time, which is why I use a soft-covered rack bag. This Gator bag has even improved my tone, believe it or not, because (I think) it is so solid and well padded it doesn't resonate at all. I see that most of my soft cases are from Gator these days. Highly recommended.

Perfect to protect your gear
I was very tempted to give this a lower rating due to the fact all of the holes didn’t line up enough to hold 4 rack mounts. I had an amp that was a duel rack, an EQ that was a single and a FX board that was single. Both of the singles fit in just fine, but the duel did not line up with the second set of holes. Normally rack mounts space out the holes to hold a single or double, but this one didn’t. Since i needed it for a gig last weekend i didn’t have time to return it and get something else i drilled out a second set of holes and tapped them out for the size screws i needed. After tapping the new holes i found the old ones were almost 1/8 of an inch off being able to fit correctly. Is this product well made? Yes Is it worth buying? Yes Would i buy it again? If i didn’t need it to fit a duel rack mount i would.

Sturdy and highly portable
This case houses my 2U amp/multi-effects unit, my 1U power conditioner, and the wireless system for my guitar. It is far easier to take this to a gig (with my lightweight 2x12 speaker cabinet), than carrying the 4U flight case I had before, which weighed twice as much fully loaded and was too heavy to load and unload. I can wear this case over my shoulder and still have two hands to carry my speaker and guitar or another bag. Time will tell as to its longevity, but I am careful with my gear, so given its solid construction, I'm expecting it to last many years.

Awesome soft rack case
If your looking for something light well than this case is for you. Im older and have a hard time hauling heavy even the molded cases get heavy when you add things in there, so thank you Gator for an awesome rack case.

Fantastico
Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Rack portatile utilissimo per organizzare tutti i dispositivi per gli eventi musicali (centraline per radiomicrofoni, ear monitoring). L'inserimento di una multipresa da rack e di un vassoio hanno consentito di ottimizzarne le funzionalità.

Excelente producto.
After several months of use, the product has met my expectations 100%. I have two audio interfaces and a shure Wireless monitor transmitter mounted on it. Portability is quite good, although it is not so portable if you move by public transport. Ideal to take in the car.
