When the battery ages and no longer holds a charge can it be changed?

I would think so, but I wouldn't know since I havent used them yet. I got them as a back up. since eventually battery packs go out I figured I would only use them if an emergency occurred. Put them with bug out stuff (Hahahah i a prepper), figured If I get 6 months to a year of light with sun power in a OMG situation, the 12 bucks was worth it :)  I should crack one open to see serial number or pack to see if they are available for back ups......hahaha back ups for my back ups couldnt hurt!

can you pack these on an airplane?

I've taken mine packed in both carry on and checked luggage.  The rechargeable batteries aren't lithium batteries and, if the light accidentally gets turned on in the luggage it doesn't generate much, if any heat.

I ordered this light but did not get the USB charger with it? is this charger included? when i ordered the lantern a couple of years ago i did get it

I ordered five lights a year and a half ago, and chargers were included, but I haven't had to re-charge my lights since I got them. My sister ordered the light a month ago, and no charger was included with it. She said the light was charged when she got it, so it really wasn't needed.

You need to access the TSA website for regulations covering this item. Your question is woefully lacking in details. Was it in your luggage? Did you have the item confiscated during pre-boarding screening? For future reference, these days, you should be traveling with as little as possible. The TSA legally confiscates hundreds of thousands of items from travellers like you, who don't do some research about what can be in luggage and carry-ons. The LED light can be considered a pre-bomb configuration as it has a switch which might be used as a trigger; a small amount explosive could be packed into the housing. There are idiots/terrorists that try to do these things. Many things can mailed anywhere in the USA. Contact a postal official to see if you can ship it.
