Inglehoffer Seafood Tartar Sauce, 8.25 Oz Squeeze Bottle

We have tried almost every tartar sauce on the market commercially available. This is in my opinion the single best prepackaged tartar sauce you will find wish the bottles came in larger sizes, but otherwise the best you’ll find.

I had heard that this is about as close to McDonalds Filet o Fish tartar sauce so I gave it a try. Could not be happier. It’s not exactly the same but it is close enough. Very tasty.

This is very flavorful and a little stronger than McDonalds (which I love), so I add a little Mayo to get the perfect blend. A little expensive.

This is our go to tartar sauce. It has great flavor but doesn't overshadow the fish.

OK I'm redoing this review. I had faith that this was just something that settles, like Italian dressing, and the required shaking wasn't a sign of a problem. However, from what I've read elsewhere, it doesn't require shaking if it's still "good." Separating is a sign it's gone bad. After eating it the first time, I got so sick with presumed food poisoning I had to call out of work the next day. This has gone straight in the trash. Will never buy this online again. Can't find it in any grocery store either, unfortunately. (Original review) The taste is pretty good compared to other tartar sauce. However, it separates very fast so it looks gross in the bottle until you shake it up. It's also very thin, oil based instead of mayonnaise base, so it's difficult to use. I bought it for sandwiches, and it does absorb into the bread somewhat, but I can barely get enough on the sandwich without it dripping off. I also don't think it would work for dipping.
