At first the mask was tugging down on my ears, but they provide an elastic strap that goes through each ear hole and across the crown of your head to prevent that. It is quite comfortable to wear, however it isn't exactly covid- friendly and I'll explain . It DOES filter in the air you breathe, it can only be drawn through the mask, which has I believe 5 or 6 layers including a replaceable carbon internal layer. Air cannot be drawn inward through those two ports on the mask, I put my mouth directly on them and tried because I was like wtf? But they have a rubber disc inside that seals them shut when you inhale. This is highly effective in preventing the wearer from contracting the virus. When you exhale however, the rubber disc in the vents is shifted to allow your breath the freedom to escape into the room without being even slightly filtered. If you have covid and no symptoms you will still be risking the people around you with potential life threatening illness. How I fixed this was tracing the rubber disc on to one of the extra carbon filters, and cutting it out, carefully taping the edges, and inserting it into the vent on top of the rubber layer. I still inhale filtered, comfortable air but now my exhale is responsible. It doesn't effect how comfortable the mask is either. The price is great, the masks are high quality and filter 99% over the n95 (which filters 95%) so that's great! It is so effective that it even effectively mutes odors. I will be purchasing again.

I just used it today due to the smoky air in Calif during wildfires... ugh. And I did not smell the smoke through the mask. I took the mask off and smelled smoke. Put the mask back on, no smoke smell! Yay! I had to shorten the ear straps to make it fit my head. I think these are made for man heads. Not women heads, which is kind of messed up. How about a woman head mask! We need to protect our lungs too!!! And how about making them in colors other than black? PROS: light comfortable (after I fixed the ear straps stays in place can breathe easily through it. it forms a seal once I press the nose piece in place but it doesn't make a mark or feel uncomfy no fogging up the glasses if I press the nose piece in place CONS: my head isn't a big ol' man head, so the strap around the back of my neck barely makes it to close, it's too long for women heads. but it does close and it does hold... it does get hot and my face does sweat under it, but that's okay, not a big deal. I am not suffocating. when I press the nose piece to form the seal, it does press on the sides of my nose a little and I do need to keep tugging at it from time to time to regain comfort. it's not a huge deal though. __ Overall... I like this mask. I think if it was more form-fitting for a FEMALE that would be awesome. Recommended? Yes. I bought this because I hated wearing the N95 mask for fire smoke. This one can be washed unlike the N95. And it's got 2 respirators and not just one. Nice! ******** UPDATE ********* Well, I've started using this mask because of the smokiness due to fires. And I can honestly say, this mask is great. I have since adapted it to my female head by adding a strap to the ear loops which are rather silly...they don't stay on because they have no elastic (thus the man vs woman head issue). So... I added this little strap and it goes up over my head and holds the mask in place perfectly. Then I velcro the back (which is still too big for my head, but it does close, just has a "tail"). It forms a seal and I can not smell any smoke at all. Even when it's quite hazy outdoors, I can't smell any smoke and after a while, I can breathe easily. My face sweats like crazy but it does that with an N95 too, so whatever. I'm very happy that this mask keeps my lungs clean! Love the dual breathing valves. They are more comfortable than an N95 mask. And I can wash this mask, and can't wash an N95, so that's awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED And if you need to add a strap to the ear loops go ahead. Because it works great then.

To address certain questions you may have, I’ll clear a few things up. 1) They arrived 3 days after ordering. 2) They are good quality compared to the terrible ones we chose beforehand. 3) They fit great on me but way too big for my wife, even on the tightest setting. She’ll try and stitch the sides together to make it fit more snug. 4) The filters are just as good as disposable masks and the valves work perfectly. Absolutely no issues feeling vulnerable to airborne nasties. 5) The nose bridge is flexible and you can adjust it to the contour of your hooter easily. 6) It looks ok when worn, not something to feel embarrassed about wearing. 7) Comes with 5 filter pads each, unless you’re in a very dusty polluted environment, they should be good for over a week before changing. Unless you have a heavy cold, either way, it would be best to give them a quick spray with disinfectant every day or before wearing again. 8) There seems to be a few different sellers with varying prices for what appears to be the exact same mask, with varying reviews. I can’t speak for them, maybe they’re identical, I don’t know. The review is based on the ones I received from this listing. 9) I would have given them a five star rating if my wife didn’t have to do some sewing adjustments and “take them in”. 10) Cost wise, they’re not cheap cheap, but better than most and cheaper than what some are trying to sell them for. The breakdown on how I determine my star rating of a product… 5 stars – I love it! It is awesome and I highly recommend that everyone purchase this product! 4 stars – I like it. Not everything can be perfect! I would purchase again. 3 stars – It was okay, but I would probably not buy it again unless I had no other choices. 2 stars – There may be worse products out there, but you can definitely find better choices. 1 star – I dislike the product, I wish I had not purchased it and do not recommend anyone else to purchase it. here is my honest opinion. They are not super cozy on the face. You feel like you are dark Vader and you seriously want to scream out "luke I am your father" but the adult in you tells you to chill the F out. Because who does that right. Idk.. anyways, where i lived it is 130 out so having to wear this mother of all glob stoppers on your face makes you feel like sliding down a slide of razor blades into a pool of alcohol might feel better. But to be honest. If it was not devil hellish weather it might not feel so bad. Grant it i can't speak for humid areas. You guys will need jesus with this but it does seem to honestly give protection. Hence why I gave it so many stars. I do not use the ear do hinges.. those are super annoying at best. But I tuck and roll with it around my head and handle buisness then once out of a facility I pull it off like jack flash. I have go say I look really good in it so if you're worried of looking silly you do not. You get lots of filters which by all account they say using 50 hrs is a time to change. I am not sure how true that is but it seems to suck the life out of the filters so I can see them working. .. all in all it was a great buy. I did not need to apply anything or put it together. It was already good to go.. it tells you how to change the filters which h I have not yet so I can't say how hard that is or not. I am not sure the long haul on it as I had only worn it 4 x and counting. So let's just agree the queen of hating crap on my face has spoken and this company sent out fast and timely a product I am not complaining about. They can not nor can anyone ever make a product to sufice everyone in any weather. So to be fair being i live in devils playground this product is the bomb. So.. there is that. Thank you.

I like these mask but they are uncomfortable on you nose. I have a normal size face and head and a small nose and it's just uncomfortable on the bridge of your nose.

The mask is indeed an awesome mask. I loved it and bought two packs. I am not disappointed. I have so many masks in the house and many are useless. This mask lives up to the reviews. I am buying two more packs. My husband took the second pack. I wash and reuse. Let it air dry, do not put in the dryer. I don't put any of my masks in the dryer just because they may shrink or cause more wear and tear on them. Unfortunately I cannot use the mask because they are to big for my face. I have a fairly large head so I was surprised, but my hubby loves them and it fits him like a glove. So since I have so many other masks I decided to get him more of these. His words. "I can breathe with them, It doesn't itch, its soft and comfortable, and its' funky and cool, don't I look like Bain from Batman" (uhhhh Noooo) but okay back to the review. More comfortable and easier to use than many of my previous masks. The Velcro strap behind the neck is easy to put on and take off; even with anti-cut A1 gloves. I’m not using the ear hooks only the Velcro strap behind the neck—works great.

The package arrived exactly as pictured, in a resealable bag with two masks, six filters, and two AEBs (Adjustable Elastic Band). The AEBs attach to the mask and go over the top of your head (similar to the positioning of a headband) to help the mask stay on if you have a smaller face. I didn't need to use them and the mask fits nicely on my face for the most part. The material is thicker than most cloth masks, but very breathable since it's mesh. The nose piece is a bit too rigid and wasn't able to completely conform it to my nose, but it sealed the mask enough to make it good against dust/pollen (and Covid-19 mask usage requirements, but this mask isn't rated for it). I'll have to see how well it holds up against dust/pollen/allergens the next time the lawn is mowed. In terms of Covid-19 (CV19), The bag has two ratings: P2.5 and N99. The P2.5 is used more in Asia I believe, and as a rating for masks with filters for dust/pollen (which this mask does). This mask will meet the state/local requirements of wearing a mask in public. However, it also has N99 listed on the bag, THIS IS NOT A N99 MASK since it is mesh. N99 masks must be able to form a complete seal around the face, filter 99% of airborne particles and approved by the CDC/FDA/OSHA. The bag states that is has a 99.9% filter efficiency, but doesn't specify how tiny it'll filter. If I was buying this as a N99 mask, I give it 1 star (since it's not officially approved by the CDC et al.). As a general mask that I have to wear in public, it's comfortable and stylish (I feel like I belong in Mortal Kombat), so I give it 4 stars (minus 1 star for listing it as a N99).

Masks don't fit well. The main issue with them is that the "ear loops" are not adjustable or have the appropriate length. That means the main band in the back is the main support. this puts a strain on the lower neck and gets uncomfortable. Either the fit is not well or the pressure is too hard Will never buy again!

My wife tried her mask out on our SxS and found it comfortable and effective in removing all the dust.
