Great Machine for the price!
This machine has been used for my son’s season. Does a great job for the batting cage, fielding grounders and pop fly’s. We have used it at every practice this spring for 10U.

Can't beat this machine for the money!
I wish I would have purchased this years ago! My kids are 10 and 6 and they both love it(along with the adults). We run the yellow and white dimple balls through it along with regular baseballs. It pitches them all slightly differently which is great in my opinion. We usually run it on the fastest speed at about 40ft from the plate which is really comparable to the fastest pitcher in our 10U league.

Not combo as advertised!
Went through quite an ordeal, involving lots of time and extra money to get what is advertised here. Bargain Fly did work with me to fix problem, but still was much more than I expected. They say it is Amazon's fault as this should not be listed as a combo. It is pitching machine ONLY. Explains why it is $200 less than everywhere else. Sent me machine, then I had to pay separate for the cage. Sent wrong cage! Sent new one and fedex label to return first one. Once I got everything set up, it is a pretty good cage. I definitely recommend the X-tender cage. Much sturdier and larger than the other. Heater Jr. only throws fastballs, no curves or sliders or anything fancy. Does have adjustable speed, but does take tinkering to make it throw where you want it. (same height with speed 10 will throw ball over head that a speed 6 might place right over plate). Machine will throw real baseballs, but says not to if using for batting practice (as opposed to fielding) because it will not be accurate. Machine comes with only 1 dimple ball. Invest the extra $30 for a dozen. The ball feeder works, but my kids prefer manual-fed balls as it is easier to know when they are coming. The feeder is a bit slow and takes a while to figure out its timing. Works better with higher speeds as the angle is lower. With lower speeds you need to "lob" them a bit so they cross plate without bouncing there. With the change in angle of the machine, the feeder doesn't always work properly as balls don't get pull down spiral by gravity as well.

Works like a charm
I read reviews of people who had problems with accuracy and repeatability on pitching. Adjusting the air pressure on the tire and using yellow pitching machine balls I could lanch a ball 100 feel and land in a 5 foot area. My grandson can hit ball consistantly. IT WORKS GREAT!!!

Sucks that it always has to be plugged in- no battery pack
In on isn’t that it doesn’t have a battery pack and has to be plugged in. Really limited our ability to bring to parks. We even have an external plug in battery pack that we have brought to plug into and it short circuits all the time.

I received a lemon!!!
I bought this last November to throw a ball for my dog and within a week it started vibrating and making a loud sound. Seemed manageable and my dog loved it. Live in New England so put it away for the winter in late December. Starting using it on good days about a month ago and the sound got worse and I starting noticing a slight burning smell. Yesterday the on/off switch stopped working. Gave it a one because it did throw ball rather nicely otherwise just an expensive piece of junk.

Great product for the money
Great product for the money. Gran kids love it. The best part about it is, it can pitches regular sized baseballs. (Or any type ball that's the same size as a baseball. (ie wiffle balls, baseballs, dimpled balls, etc)). It's totally adjustable for speed & distance. The younger kids get a kick out catching fly balls using the wiffle balls. I would say it's good for kids up to 12 years old. It does not throw curve balls & it does not throw a perfect strike every time, but thats not a problem. I'll try and include a short clip of the product in action if I can figure how.
