Pros and serious DIYers love it. If you’re doing renovations or fixes around the house, just get it—especially when it’s on sale ($129–$179 for a full kit). You’ll wonder how you lived without it.

After dealing with all the different cordless tools and having 5 different brands of batteries, I decided to consolidate to one brand. I chose DeWalt mainly because I have a Graco sprayer that uses DeWalt batteries but after trying out a few tools, I've found them to be better than most other brands I have (Ryobi, Ridgid, Hitachi) and about on par with the Makitas I have. This tool was no exception. I do a lot of custom cabinetry and built-ins where I have to cut away sections of baseboard and molding and this tool works like a dream. It's versatile, a good size/weight and best of all, I don't have to have a bunch of cords.

This maybe the best power tool I've purchased in some time! Easy to use and usable for just about any job. Sanding. Cutting. Trimming. Drywall repair. Just make sure you buy one of the variety packs of sanding pads and cutoff bits that are available here. Only one drawback. The battery it comes with isn't very long-lasting so buy one or two more. And may I recommend true Dewalt batteries.

A great tool to have as a cordless device. I have a corded oscillator but after using a cordless a few times I saw the utility in having a cordless model. Everything is included: battery, charger, blades and a bag to stow it in. A good value.

I don’t get all the poor reviews? I do agree with the ones for the battery being pretty cheap for Dewalt to include with this nice multi tool. But for $99 bucks and a nice bag and charger too? I have several other batteries so when it dies I just put another battery on it and charge it. I dinged it one star for the cheap battery. I am over all happy with the tool 👍

This oscillating tool is well built, exactly what I expect from DeWalt. It feels solid in hand and performs very well for a wide range of tasks. It works great with a 6Ah battery, which gives good runtime and power. Smaller batteries will work, but they drain fairly quickly, so I’d recommend a larger one if you plan to use it for longer jobs. Blade changes are easy and quick, and it accepts multiple blade designs, making it flexible for different applications. Overall, it’s a reliable, capable tool, and I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the market for an oscillating multi-tool.

Very useful. Quick change blade holder works great. The 1.5 amp battery is handy on other lower draw tools but doesn’t last on this. At minimum you’ll need some 4 amp batteries for real work.
