PS-4 Wired Controller for Plays-tation 4

I got this for my PS4 but unfortunately it did not work well for that purpose. But it's surprisingly good controller on My PC. I had been using a PS4 controller with the PC. Now this one is my primary for PC. -I actually no longer recall why I stopped using it on my PS4. Though I had tried it as a way to reduce lag on button responses for games like KH3 where milliseconds timing failures meant several min of replay over and over again. Has a great rubberized grip on the joycon and the palms. Its also got a bit of weight for it feel comfortable and not flimsy.

I ordered this controller because wireless controllers don't work for my setup. My PS4 is in my bedroom, under a desk next to my bed, so I need a connected, wired controller. I gave this product five stars for one simple reason: It works JUST LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO WORK. The USB cord is at least ten feet long, all the buttons and triggers perform their assigned functions, the joysticks work just the way you'd expect them to (the X and Y sensitivity can be adjusted to accomodate different games), and the directional pad works the same way it does on the $54 Sony controller. HOWEVER ... The PS button won't turn the system on, so if that's a deal-breaker for you, you should look elsewhere. Other than that ... The controller is sturdy, comfortable in the hands and costs less than half what you'll pay for Sony controllers. I've used this controller for more than a month, and I've played (or replayed) at least twenty different games with it, mostly first-person shooters. During all those hours of various games that require precision timing and control, this controller performed perfectly every time. I had no reason to contact the seller, as shipping was fast, my order arrived undamaged in perfect condition and the item performed exactly as stated. In fact, I liked it so much, I bought two of them! Highly recommended.

The manufacturer is lucky 1 star is the lowest possible rating. I bought 10 of these all at once because it was on sale for less than $20 and I prefer wired controllers because I’ve always had trouble getting the wireless ones to charge. Anyway, the protective material encasing the wires breaks away from the controller fairly soon after opening it. Like 1-3 weeks. The first couple of times that happened, I thought maybe I was just rough on it. Then it kept happening with each of the others, which I made sure to be extra careful with. Then I also remembered that this never used to happen with my 8 bit NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, PS1, PS2, or even my PS3. This particular controller also disconnects itself from the PS4 every couple of minutes. It’s a wired controller. There’s no reason that should happen. This part can usually be fixed easily by unplugging it from the USB port and plugging it right back in, but that gets old really fast. It’s also quite inconvenient when it happens right in the middle of a gunfight or other intense moment of whatever type of game, especially if it’s an online game.

Its a cheap controller. Was fine at first, but after sporadic periods of use use over around a year (I game on PC, bought for the handful of games I play that are better with a controller) the right trigger and buttons have become noticeably less responsive and one of the sticks loose. With constant use I couldn't see it lasting more than a few months. To clarify it is still fine for something like a racing game or Ghost of Tsushima, but for Brawlhalla the lack of responsiveness has made some combos/maneuvers impossible to perform now. Thought it was just me at first but I have no issue doing them with a real DS4. Looks and feels like a DS4 controller at a fraction of the cost, but I'm not sure if its worth it in the long run.

I just needed a cheap replacement controller and didn’t want to spend a ton. This one surprised me — it actually works really well! It plugs right in, no setup needed, and the buttons are responsive. It’s definitely lighter than the original PS4 controller, but it still feels solid. The cord’s a good length, and I haven’t had any issues with lag or weird disconnects. Been using it for a while now and no complaints.

REVISED to 3/5 because the controller is starting to die. Left stick is starting to ghost, and the middle button no longer functions. Time to get a new controller, after about a year and a half of owning. 4/5 only because the left stick up movement is not nearly as precise as an original PS4 controller. Your character will move kind of jerky, where with a standard PS4 controller it is much more smooth. The right stick is good though. Aside from that it is great! Comfortable plastic, quick response time, no technical issues (so far) after a few months of use.

It's a nice controller but it turns off on you after a while you have to unplug it and then replug it back in for it to work I did see reviews on that but I wanted to see for myself but it has that problem so you can't use it too long

Picked this up to use as a wired gaming controller for my PC. Worked just as I wanted.

These controllers work mostly as intended, but be prepared as they tend to have issues after 3 months use. But so far this one is lasting, hopefully for a longer time.

It stops working for no reason, after approx. 2 hrs.??

This is by far the worst controller I have ever purchased. It constantly stops working, and has to be unplugged and plugged back in. It has no heaphone port at all. We have been putting up with the constant need to keep unplugging it, but now has gotten even worse and only lasts like 15 seconds before it stops again. Very disappointed.

Controller worked good, if you have kids who can be rough I suggest maybe reinforcing the wires near the top. You get what you pay for but if you’re careful I’m sure it will last. Although after reading other reviews I have to wonder if the tiny wires are breaking off within the cord and you’re just not seeing it.
