100 Sets Silver Tone Magnetic Purse Snap Clasps/Closure Purse Handbag 14mm

These have turned out to be very good snaps, well made and nicely plated. There are a few duds in the batch, but at $12 for 100 sets, the defects are not worth considering. The magnets are strong enough for holding wallet flaps and interior slip pockets and the flaps on saddle bag style purses and the parts that show are pretty. The flat washers that hold the pronged parts are sometimes cut from recycled aluminum sheets and there may be a few bad cuts - you're still going to get at least 95 complete snap sets - maybe more. The washers *feel* flimsy, but they're plenty strong after the prongs are bent over them. The washers are normally hidden between the exterior of the bag and the lining, so the appearance of the back side doesn't matter. I usually press two small pieces of woven fusible interfacing over the back to prevent the snap from rubbing against the lining fabric. I use the washer as a template for marking the prong slots and cut the slots with a seam ripper. I put a little Beacon Gem Tac or 3-in-1 glue around the slots before installing the snaps in the fabric. This keeps the fabric from fraying and holds the snap so that it won't shift around. I'm very happy with these snaps - I use 1-3 of them in almost every bag I make.

I absolutely love these snaps and if I somehow ever manage to run out of them I would absolutely purchase these again. When I found this set of silver tone magnetic purse and project snaps I was skeptical about purchasing them. The cost for them is so low especially by brick and mortar store cost standards. I went out on a limb and purchased these anyways. I am so happy that I took the risk and purchased these. They are absolutely perfect. The magnet on these provides just the right amount of magnetism without tearing them out of the fabric they are installed to and there are no risks of them coming out of my project. The magnetic strength on these is perfect and each of the sides of the snaps meets up perfectly. The box came with both sides of the snaps and came with washers to fix each of the sides to the back of them to securely hold them to your project. All of the ones that I received were silver and so far have remained that same color without any tarnishing, fading, or discoloring. I found that these were made a good quality materials but you need to be careful when hammering on them to get them closed. If you hammer too hard they will become misshapen. I am very happy with this purchase and now I have a ton of snaps for every kind of project I can imagine. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone who loves to craft and wants sturdy magnetic snaps.

Excellent product for my projects. My local hobby store sells these for $4.99 for a pack of 2 and the quality appears to be the same. No instructions included but it is not hard to figure out. Place the backing piece where you want and mark the slits with a pencil. I have used both a seam ripper and an xacto knife to make the slits, I use the back end of the xacto knife to press the posts down. Works like a charm!

This is the best alternative to a zipper. If you ever wondered about tackling a zipper for your project and felt like you weren’t ready for zippers yet. My suggestion is to use this magnetic snap instead. It’s the easiest and fastest way to finish a purse or wallet and it looks great when you’re done with your project! These are not as strong as the square Dritz. How important that is, is a matter of personal opinion some clients like the extra strength. The disc's are cheap cast offs extremely thin, not consistently cut, sometimes bent. The female parts are not cut well, the tabs have sharp points that shouldn't be a part of the tab. They have to be filed off or they'd cut through every article used on. I received 1 bag female, 2 bags male, 1 bag disc. The magnet part itself, is clean, shiny, no scratches. Like them being round, if you miss-cut a tiny bit it isn't going to show. Will I purchase again, yes probably.

These small magnetic snaps are great for small items. I used them for a 4” wallet closure. They did not weigh the item down that a bigger snap would do. They would work well to close a pocket inside a bag. Enough snaps to share with a sewing friend!

Excellent product. I was concerned that the magnet wouldn’t be strong enough but they are plenty strong. The product arrived in a small cardboard box approximately 3Lx4Wx2D inches. The box contained 1 bag male parts, 1 bag female parts, and 1 bag washer parts. All metal pieces but most of the washers have some sort of design on one side. Cute touch in my opinion. So far, I have used the magnets to make hand sanitizer bags. I love the size of the magnets. I have purchased larger purse magnets from craft stores but they are expensive and cumbersome for smaller projects. I will definitely purchase more of these when my stash gets low. 😋

I love this magnets. Very good quality and so easy to install. No extra tools to install them. The price is good for the amount of sets in the package.

This product was not good for what I wanted it for. The end product looked tacky. No cover to hide the bent over clasp. Would be good for projects that didn’t have exposed top clasp.

Small. Not good for my diy handbag.
