What does the button on this pen do? It won't erase on reMarkable 2 tablet.

There is a hack that will make the button work on both the Remarkable 2 and Remarkable 1 Tablet. The hack can be found on GitHub.

What type of tip is being used? I don't see replacements being offered by Lamy.

It comes with 3 spare nibs. Once those are gone I will end up using ReMarkable nibs (which fit) as I actually like them better.

Does this work with the samsung galaxy tab s7/s7 plus?

I have the Galaxy Tab S6 and it works perfectly on there. The Tab S6 and S7/S7+ use the same EMR technology. Be aware that your regular S Pen must be removed from whatever pen garage/attachment point that it is in when not in use to use this or any other EMR/S Pen. There is also an option in the S Pen settings (on One UI 2.5/Android 10) go to Settings > Advanced Features > S Pen > Allow Multiple S Pens -- this will allow your device to use an alternate S Pen while the OEM S Pen is garaged.

What is the difference between this pen and lamy safari stylus s pen md-la... , i want to use it on my remarkable 2 , which one is better ?

There isn't really any difference except the Safari is labeled for Samsung. Both work exactly the same on Samsung stylus products. I own both and I do not notice any difference other than the color options.
