like i said .. beautiful chair for the library look .. but keep in mind in my opinion its not the average living room, sinking in and fall asleep while watching tv in the living room type chair . this is a in the sitting room type idea reading a book or on the laptop .. its stiff solid type of chair for exactly what you see in my picture I'm showing .. I'm 6'2" 235lbs and feel its what im looking for in my library type chair .. comfy but i call it stiff sitting on .. tight sitting on .. not a sink into type padding ... .. i think its a bit pricey at $259. .. but good luck finding anything close to this look for cheaper .. feels like real thick leather.. you cant tell real or fake ... i rater 5 star for comfort as a library stiff type chair and 5 star for value as nothing comes close to the look for the price and thickness .. it sure is! .. like real leather, and YES.... I'm getting another chair for on the other side of my chess board shown in the picture!

Beautiful chair. Needed one when it arrived yesterday carton looked rather raggedy but chair was pristine. Easy assembly. Ordered another chair today - giving away love seat to make room for a two-chair set.

To add chair back, you have to remove staples that attach fabric to chair back. Only a few of the holes lined up to attach the chair back and chair legs. Plus, because the holes were off center, the word cracked on both back legs - had to fix with wood glue.

If you know what to expect, this is a pretty good chair. It looks really nice in the right location, and it’s comfortable enough. A comparable real leather chair would cost 4 or 5 times as much. My only complaint is that the back doesn’t fit quite right for attaching it to the base. So, it could pull off, and is perhaps very slightly more wobbly because of that. But it does fit in there well enough, and overall I think it’s a good chair. I have it in my study next to my bookshelves, end table with a reading lamp, and drinks globe. It’s quite enjoyable to spend part of an evening sitting in this chair, enjoying a scotch, and reading a good book.

Yes, the chair is attractive, if on the small side, and comfortable enough, but it was not easy to assemble. Theoretically, it should have been simple to assemble, and the legs are easy to attach, but connecting the back of the chair to the seat is not. The holes DO NOT MATCH UP and I had to drill and file the holes (that were at least 3/4 of an inch off) in order to attach the two components. Apparently, there is no quality control involved in the manufacturing process. It is indeed unfortunate, but my advice to to find a similar chair and avoid this product

We use this chair as a prop in our video studio for commercials. It's solid and sturdy and really makes our video commercials pop. It's not overbearing, but definitely a focal point of the set. A good, quality-built chair that fits nicely into many environments we set up around it. A worthy purchase.

I would give 5 stars across the board but one leg cam with split wood… I would love a replacement leg, for a five star.

Ordered two of these chairs and have had them for about two years now. I will likely replace them soon and would not consider buying these again even if the price were cut in half. Assembly was relatively difficult, primarily because, like many other reviewers have mentioned, the holes do NOT line up properly so re-drilling, filling (with something like plastic wood, etc.), filing and sanding is required in order to complete assembly. Such drilling and filling, however, likely diminishes the structural integrity of the chair which is not very good to begin with. Aesthetically, the chairs are fine and have a classic, traditional look. They are listed as brown but have a more burgundy tone. The seat is a bit low, and, overall, the chairs are slightly smaller than they appear in the various photos. My chairs do not receive a lot of use but they are wearing very poorly. The short, wooden legs have split in spots and small chunks of those legs have simply fallen off. The area where the back and seat meet has loosened and there is some movement to the back when one is seated in the chair. These defective conditions have occurred with both of the chairs. Overall, this is a product that looks pretty good but is of relatively poor quality. It is not worth the price being charged.

Looks good, is solid and attractive

A little smaller than I had thought, but then again I didn't really look at the measurements. Quite sturdy (250lb person). Good value though, it never had any 'interesting' smell that normally comes with faux material. Happy with the purchase.

The Chair is missing all the hardware. The shipping box looks like it was kicked off a moving vehicle. Not made for a person above average build. it's a small chair.

I love the chair. It's solid, well built and adds a touch of elegance to the living room. I've had it for 5 years now and the vinyl is starting to split. Granted, I sit in the chair every day so it gets quite a bit of use. Anyway, I will have to replace it with a replica in leather.
