Women's Classic Tapered Amanda Jeans

I do love love these jeans. Been yrs since found any to wear due to fit. As evidenced by entire large plastic tote of tags on, brand new jeans, too late to return- all don’t fit in some way. I’m not picky either. The many other brands cannot wear. These Gloria V’s are amazing. Comfortable, soft, w/ pockets/belt loops needed. And seam quality is good- don’t see the stitch errors you can on economical jeans. Appearance of these Amanda Gloria V’s are much better quality. I’m 5’4, notoriously stuck btwn pant lengths. Petite are almost capri’s (I don’t wear); avg I’m walking on bottom of pants. Always plan on getting them hemmed, never do. Then the pant bottoms are eventually torn & stained a filthy color. These average length Amanda jeans fit me very well. They’re a little long, but no where near close to walking on the bottoms. There IS one pretty major issue- I wear size 18/20 on all brands, types of pants for years. Jeans, dress pants, casual, even 1pc dresses can’t be any smaller. I can’t ever find pants that fit-my hips are much smaller than waist & muffin top 😆 Ordered these in 18w, fit well maybe little loose which really made me happy. Yet did feel nice & supported too. Well within< 5 min walking around house, they suddenly fell completely to floor while mid stride. They’d already stretched out just to accommodate any movements. Okay, so ordered 16 reluctantly- haven’t worn 16 in a verrrryy long time. Kept the 18 just in case. They came, put them on- felt perfect. Little snug to zip up but fine. This time added belt, went out to concert. Stood up from seat after concert-even w/ belt, jeans almost fell right off. Had to hold up until finally home. They had stretched out that much just sitting in them. Took deep breath, ordered 14. Never thought I’d get on. Laid down flat as can, bf had to pull zipper up, I couldn’t. He struggled for good 5min; finally got it. Still didn’t trust- wore belt. We went out for breakfast, then stopped at stores. By beg. of 1st store- jeans again completely stretched out & I needed to find restroom to tighten belt again. Once home- jeans wouldn’t stay up w/o tight belt. I LOVE being able to see my jean tag w/ a sz haven’t had in decades! Still can’t believe it. BUT- they’re a good couple sizes smaller than my norm. Even then- strongly suggest a belt. Amazing jeans once you know sizes!

I've worn GV jeans since they first came out. They always fit me perfectly. I stopped wearing blue jeans as I got older, but decided to go back recently and get jeans in different colors because they are comfortable and easy to iron. I wondered if they would still fit me--and they do! They stretch slightly, and they have always been durable. These also look great after washing--and as I said before--only need a slight touch-up with an iron to look neat. Girls and women across a wide age span can look good wearing these.

I'm 5'2" and I weigh 160 with an hourglass figure with somewhat short legs. I can fluctuate to 165 and back down again. My weight is presently on a downward trend overall again so who knows. I tried these on just after they arrived today. I absolutely LOVE the quality of the pants. They are so soft, a true white, and not a thin material so any colored underwear could be worn and not show through. The stitching is nice and I have nothing to complain about except that the process to determine my size and fit was confusing. I bought a size 16 short. It was long in the torso. I know I wanted high waisted and they definitely were. They came higher than my waist. It was almost fine in the waist as far as circumferemce but it had extra, and the jeans are made of a soft stretchy material so if they were already baggy, then by the end of the day I'm sure they would have been worse. If they got a little bigger while fitting snug at the beginning of the day or if they started out fitting just right, then it wouldn't be an issue. Being these are already ridiculously big, I have to return them. If I wore them like this, it means they would appear to add on weight. It had extra room in the hips and too much room for me in the bottom and a ridiculous amount of extra room in the legs starting in the upper thighs to the point of being baggy and I do in general like length in pants for taller shoes but this was too much. I was afraid by the look of the model in the picture they would be too short. I was wrong. She is not my height and is much taller. "Short" pants did not make up for it. Maybe the next size or two down would. I don't know how many exchanges I will need to do. I wish they would be more clear on whether people like me should get petite or short. I was under the impression that petite was more of a thinner build and not necessarily based on the length. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to wear a 16 but in a petite? I don't want to keep sending pants back and forth. Maybe I'm a 14 short? Maybe the pants vary from pair to pair within the same brand, style, and size just like other brands in the stores do? I know in another brand I wear a size 12 short and they fit just like they were made for me, but I went on what the size chart for Gloria Vanderbuilt had when I ordered these. I'm still confused on what they call short and petite and why I can't have a petite short. If you can figure out your size or you luck out, get them! Maybe my body is just odd, lol. I'm knocking down a star just for how confusing the size chart is with the lack of communication about the difference between short and petite and not being able to choose both though they are listed in the two categories.

These vintage white jeans are a great addition to anyone’s summer wardrobe. I originally purchased the regular length but I returned them for the short length just so they stop closer to my ankle, rather than going past my shoe. They look great with all of my summer blouses. The color is very nice, they are slimming. I normally wear a 12 regular but I got these in a 10 short and I’m pleased with the fit. They look and feel great. So cool to have a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, she was such an icon when I was a teenager.

I keep trying out different jeans because I've been wearing this brand for at least 20 years, if not longer. Yet I keep coming back because they just fit! I've worn all their sizes from currently a six, to plus sizes 24 and they always got. Great comfort, quality and quite inexpensive for jeans. I used to buy them at Kohl's but Amazon has better pricing and size selection. Highly, highly recommend

Really comfy. Soft and stretchy but feels like durable material. Great fit. I weigh about 140 lbs.

Finally some jeans that actually fit! Waste is high enough to feel secure but not so high that I would compare them to the old school super high wasted jeans. Nice thick denim fabric but not at all stiff or scratchy feeling. They washed and dried perfectly and are still soft but sturdy feeling. The legs are straight not tapered, they do not hug my legs. Usually regular length jeans are too short for me but these are great length. The only problem I had was the vendor sending the wrong size twice so I am ordering from a brick and mortar store from now on.

Love the jean. Ordering 2nd pair. BUT BE AWARE. CHECK THE SIZE GUIDE. Regular and short are NOT the exact same jean. Short runs smaller in the waist. I ordered 12regular. They were too long, but fit nicely in the waist. I kept them and just turn them under. Ordered 12short. Great in length for 5’4”, but smaller around waist. Yes, it shows this in the size guide, 1 inch difference. I never thought to compare regular and short waist size. I will try 14short 😣. Great jeans, great colors, check the size guide!

These pants were just what I wanted in a dressier pair of jeans. A perfect fit!
