Natural and works? Keep me signed up!
This is a great product. I have long, VERY thick (I clog the shower drain every time I shower because I shed so frequently), coarse hair normally. It's unruly, it frizzes easily, and it's a huge hassle if I don't do something with it and let it dry au naturale. Allow me to walk you through why I believe you should give this product a chance: First there is the smell. It has a vanilla scent with a slight almond undertone. It's very fragrant and will dull out post-shower. The smell is not nauseating to me, and it's hands down a better (and cheaper) product than Wen. (Sorry Wen!) Second, there is the quality. I don't leave it in that very long (about 2 minutes while I shave) and after my hair is very soft. With Wen I had to use it twice and leave it in for an indeterminable amount of time. Third, there is it's magical ability to be used as a leave-in conditioner (I do NOT recommend that ladies or gents with thin hair use this as a leave-in because it may be too heavy for your hair.) I use it as a leave-in and no frizz (I took a hint from Wen) even when it's moist out. (Didn't use it as a leave-in one time and it was a huge mistake!) Fourth, it does help my hair feel different--in a good way! A few hints that may help (science or superstition, I don't know but I think it helps.) * Leave it in while you shave or do other things to give your hair a chance to absorb. * Rinse in cold water (my hair becomes extra shiny when I rinse in cold water!) and, for my thick-haired ladies, add a small amount to your palm and try to spread evenly. (I find that the Wet Paddle Brush helps to spread evenly without pulling, stretching, and breaking wet hair.) * Post shower, do NOT towel dry your hair. It causes breakage and it's not good for your hair. Instead, I recommend the MICROFIBER turbie twist. I love it because it keeps my hair in place, it isn't bulky, it helps the hair absorb moisture while drying, and allows me to focus on the first thing that I work on in the mornings post shower....my facial regimen. Feel free to ask some questions! I'll be happy to help! :-) Please feel free to ask some questions and I'll be happy to reply. *I did not receive free product to try before I purchased this product. That being said, if you post a review after you purchase you can follow the instructions on the card to receive free product. I did notice that there's a difference in coloration in the bottles from the free and purchased product but when I tried the product I got for free I didn't notice any noticeable differences in my hair. I will post pictures of the free product vs. purchased product in a day or so. I will also experiment by using my clarifying shampoo paired with both the free and purchased product and show differences between this and the conditioner by Garnier - Brazilian Smooth and style as normal. I hope that this helps those purchasing! Pictures to come in the next week!*

Review from someone NOT compensated in any way...
This conditioner I bought based on the reviews and the fact that I already own the Maple Holistics Argan Oil Sulfate-Free Shampoo (this conditioner was recommended to use with this shampoo). I have to say, I actually really like this conditioner a lot! It has a nice balance between being thick enough where your hair really does feel silky (in the shower) while not being too hard or too heavy to wash out of my hair (which is a problem for me especially given my hair is prone to getting oily). I feel like it helps my color and heat-damaged hair, and also helps make it easy to detangle once I get out of the shower. One thing to note is the size shown in the picture- it makes it look like you are getting a much larger product, so the 8oz bottle I received did look a lot smaller than expected (however the item description does state 8oz, the picture is just a little misleading). It has a pleasant, slightly sweet vanilla smell to it, but it doesn’t leave a scent in your hair (at least for me, and this may be a positive or negative depending if you are sensitive to smells or prefer your hair to smell “pretty”). It’s easy to get the product out of the bottle and it goes nicely. Even though the bottle may seem small when you look at it, it really does last a long time because you don’t need to use that much in your hair. I’ve had it for about a month or two and it barely looks like I’ve used it! I have to be careful what ingredients are in my shampoo/conditioner because my hair is Keratin-treated and also colored, so I have to stay away from certain chemicals/ingredients that are commonly found in other shampoos/conditioners- and I’m happy to say that this one fits the bill for me. I’m also pretty familiar with ingredients/chemicals as I’ve been reading labels for years, so I can honestly say that this conditioner has no harsh chemicals or synthetic dyes, and specifically for me no sulfates or sodium chloride which strip the keratin from hair. On the bottle it says it’s hypoallergenic, BPA free, non-toxic and non-sensitizing (I can’t comment on the authenticity of these claims, but thought I’d share what is written on the actual bottle). However, I’d be pretty inclined to believe it given its performance and the list of ingredients (mainly amino acids and argan and jojoba oil- these work to strengthen hair as amino acids make up proteins, and the oils help with moisture and detangling- aka the “silk” that’s in its name). Also, the price is actually very reasonable and pretty comparable to many drugstore conditioners, but the quality is much higher- this is why I gave the product 5 stars- it’s an excellent value for the price and quality. I’m including a few pics for reference of size and ingredients. *I also was NOT compensated or given any incentive to write this review, as I saw a ton of others were, when I was researching this product. This is strictly from someone who relies on and values honest product reviews from others, especially when buying on Amazon. Hopefully someone finds this review helpful!

Exceptional hair care product
I am a 30 year old male who had been searching for a worthwhile hair care product since I had been struggling to find one to help save my fading hair line. Many of the big name brands had failed to really deliver any results when I tried them so I knew I needed something different. Silk 18, I found out, is an excellent choice that I only discovered after searching on Amazon and seeing the reviews and studying the ingredients so I decided to purchase a bottle. What I enjoy about Silk 18 is the smell and the volume it adds to my hair. Every day I add shampoo and conditioner when I shower and right after drying off my hair is instantly volumized. I can see the fullness it brings out and how every strand blends together so well it gives really smooth appearance to my entire head. For someone who has naturally receding hair, I need all the volume and fullness I can get to look my best. Silk 18 also has a pleasant and natural smell to it that is not too strong or bold that it saturates your hair in fragrance. To me the smell is clean and aromatic with a very fresh air to it like an afternoon breeze. I typically find I only need a small amount to be effective. Of course it is hard to overdo conditioner and perhaps shampoo as well. But I only put a very small quarter size dollop in my hand and gently rub the solution into my scalp to ensure it’s massaged in properly. This is the mark of a well-made product that doesn’t require a massive amount of application and technique to work. It’s simply apply and massage to see the results (and trust me it works!). Other hair products don’t succeed as well because they’re full of harmful chemicals and they’re poorly designed. Silk 18 conditioner has a very rich and natural ingredient base that is not found in many hair care solutions. You will see, for example, Argan oil and amino acids listed. These are not often found in many hair care products especially in the right proportions that will actually help heal your dry hair. I believe Silk 18 has a unique blend of gentle and soothing ingredients to really highlight a natural volume and shine while repairing as well. My recommendation is you purchase both of Maple Holistics Argan Oil shampoo and Silk 18 conditioner together. Neither product are harsh on the scalp and both can be gently massaged into your hair for an exceptional cleanliness and appearance thereafter. I believe with continued use I will not have to turn to other hair care products in the future since the hair I have now is strong and durable. I highly recommend you choose Maple Holistics!

Dry and Damaged to Shiny and Smooth
After dying & bleaching my hair multiple times, I was doubtful that there was a conditioner out there that'd give me silky smooth hair. My hair was a major pain to deal with since it was so damaged (My hair has literally been every color in the rainbow so you can imagine how damaged it must be), and the only time it'd look pretty good was right after a visit to the hair salon. However after an hour of researching for the perfect conditioner for my hair, I finally decided to go with Maple Holistics since their reviews were just hard to beat. At first I was a bit disappointed since the bottle is pretty small and I'm not the type of person who'd usually pay $13 for a bottle of conditioner. Heck the most I'd ever pay was $6 for the Herbal Essences 22oz conditioner, which is twice as much product. I also noticed that it didn't really seem to have a strong scent, which was a bit disappointing after using Herbal Essences for so long. It has a light coconut scent to it and I'm not the biggest fan of coconut, which is why I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Now when it comes to the quality of the product, I have absolutely no disappointments there. I couldn't really tell how much of a difference the conditioner made to my hair while it was still wet since most conditioners leave that smooth feel after application. However, I was completely blown away with the results as I was styling my hair. I could actually run my fingers through my hair with ease and I honestly couldn't stop touching my hair since it has never felt so smooth before. It was definitely comparable to how my hair felt after a salon visit and that's essentially what every girl wants their hair to feel like after each shower. Now my hair tends to get super frizzy since I also flat iron it everyday (Yes, I know... I torture my hair). But the conditioner actually helped a lot with the frizz as well! I haven't washed my hair in two days and it's still silky smooth with absolutely no frizz. Quite unbelievable I must say. Best part about it all is that my boyfriend can't stop playing with my hair. He actually likes the coconut smell, which is a huge relief, and he can't seem to stop taking in whiffs of the scent. I guess I shouldn't mention to him that I didn't wash my hair in two days =P My brother even said his hair felt ridiculously smooth after using some of my conditioner. I have to admit I got a little territorial at first since I now have to share my small bottle with someone else...but I'm actually glad he's now a fan :) He normally never uses conditioner so it'd be funny to see him use it religiously after trying out this product. All in all, I'm super pleased with this product and with the company's customer service (they check up on you with an email after you receive the product and are super responsive to any questions or inquiries you may have). I'll definitely be ordering again soon =)

From a guy's perspective
As a guy, I never really thought about or cared about my hair all that much. I'm prone to an oily and itchy scalp, which causes dandruff issues so I always used whatever blue stuff was on sale at the grocery store and that was it. I've been using this conditioner for over a year now after deciding to switch from the grocery store brands I'd been using that always dried my hair out. After reading reviews and doing some research, I wanted something more natural and less harsh so I tried Maple Holistics Silk18 Conditioner in combination with the Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil Shampoo I'd picked up on sale. I like the shampoo, but on its own it tends to leave my hair and scalp feeling a little too dry. I now know what a difference a good shampoo and conditioner can make. I'd started with just the conditioner and immediately noticed a difference. My hair is definitely smoother, shinier, and feels healthier after I use the conditioner and I do notice a difference when I don't use it. I was worried about the smell being too strong and it smelling "girly" but the Silk18 isn't overwhelming at all and it does what it claims to do. Pleasant smell, hair softer and healthier feeling. I later got the Degrease shampoo Shampoo for Oily Itchy & Greasy Hair with Rosemary & Lemon Oil + Peach Kernel + Jojoba - Natural Sulfate Free Argan Care for Women Men & Teens - Cell & Scalp Circulation - Safe for Color Treated Hair and use that in rotation with the other stuff. Overall I've been extremely happy with the Maple Holistics products and their customer service. People nit-pick about whether or not it's "completely organic" or "100% natural" and that's fine. For me, the fact that it has no artificial fragrances or dyes is important since I tend to be sensitive to that stuff. It's also made in the USA and isn't tested on animals. Those things were good enough for me and I'm so glad I decided to give it a shot.

Scent has Changed - Used to be great stuff
New Review-- I've had to knock a couple of stars off my old, glowing review. The scent has changed. They've added some floral, perfumey scent that is not at all pleasant compared to the old scent. The vanilla still is there, but the perfume tends to overwhelm I do not have an allergy problem with the new scent. I just do not at all like it. Fortunately, it does not linger (just as before), so I can finish the bottle I have, but I will not purchase this again (and I'm returning the spare bottle I recently bought). It still does a good job as a conditioner, but there are other conditioners that do a good job but that also have a desireable scent. ------------------- I use this daily, and I love it. I have thick, stiff, wavy hair that's prone to frizzing when shorter and just generally misbehaving when longer. This conditioner cuts down on both problems without nasty buildup or other fuss. It rinses out cleanly but the effect remains. The scent mostly is vanilla and quite pleasant--no perfume or other heavy, strong, offensive scents. As best as I can tell, the scent does not linger significantly, which is very nice. I am allergic to orris root, something found in many fragrances, but I have no problem with this product. A little goes a long way, especially if you can leave it in for a minute or more, but even a short rest has beneficial effect. If you can, shampoo first and leave this in while you clean the rest of yourself. A bottle seems to last quite some time. My last bottle lasted about 7 months with regular use. Of course, my hair is only medium, men's length. Longer hair will use more and go through it more quickly. It's also great for beards. Update 1/3/2019 -- I've been using this almost daily for about a year and a half. While I've received the offer for free product, I've not actually accepted it. I probably will take the offer because no review was required in order to receive anything. That hardly matters, though. I wouldn't use anything that wasn't good, free or not.

VERY Good for Curly Hair, Even Though It's Not Marketed as a Curly-Hair Product!
I've been using this conditioner for about 4 months now and I absolutely love it! I have wavy-curly hair (in terms of length, it's about 3-inches below shoulder-length right now, when dried and curly) and I'm long overdue for a haircut (it's probably been about 6 or 7 months since I got one). And I know, I know...I should get my hair trimmed more regularly, but it's such a pain finding a reasonably-priced stylist, who also knows how to deal with curly hair, that I tend to judge when I need to bite the bullet and get a cut, by when my ends become completely unmanageable and unstylable. I mention all this, because about a month or two after I got my most "recent" haircut, I realized that I was already having problems keeping my hair styled not at my ends, but at my roots! Which definitely were NOT dried or damaged. At this point, I had been using Tresemme's curly hair conditioner for years, but decided it was time to test out new hair products, to see if that could help with this issue. I stumbled on Maple Holistics while doing some online Christmas shopping last year, and decided that it was worth a shot to splurge on a more natural product, even if it wasn't specifically a curly-hair product. Flash forward 4 months to today, and I am SO glad that I decided to test out this conditioner. Even though I DEFINITELY need to get a cut soon, I'm having no problem styling my curls, which still appear relatively undamaged. Best of all, my hair just looks and feels incredible now! This conditioner has made my hair unbelievably soft, and now I even find that after I shower, my hair has that hair commercial-like shininess to it (which I honestly thought only straight-haired women got). Overall, my hair now looks better, my scalp feels healthier (I've started having less trouble with dandruff, which tends to be an issue for me in the Spring and the Fall), AND my curls are much easier to style. In fact, I've found that since I started using this conditioner, my curls keep their shape for much longer, so now I'm able to avoid drying-out my scalp (and my curls) with too many washes in a week. Plus, I've also started getting tons of compliments from friends about how good my hair looks, since I started using this product. I'd say, that only downside about this conditioner is that the bottle is a little bit small. I have to pretty carefully ration-out my conditioner-use when I'm in the shower, but on the plus side, this stuff is so creamy and nourishing, that I don't have to use as much on my roots as I used to, when I was using other conditioners. Also, another slight note: if you don't like sweet-smelling products, it will take a few uses to get used to this product's smell. I'm really NOT into super "feminine" odors (for instance, floral, fruity, or cookie-based scents in perfumes or body products...they either make me want to gag or track down a bakery, because why on earth would you want to smell like a cookie or cinnamon roll, unless you have constant access to those desserts???) and this conditioner DOES smell like vanilla. Normally, I would hate this in a body/hair product, and it was a bit overly sweet-smelling for me the first few times I used it, but I've also gotten used to the aroma and I don't mind it anymore. In fact, the vanilla scent is only a bit strong while your using the conditioner in the shower, but afterwards, the scent becomes very subtle and I don't smell it at all, once I put in my other hair products. All in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend this conditioner to anyone with wavy-curly hair, or just more generally, to anyone with dry hair. It will definitely help to condition your scalp and, if you are a sometimes-dandruff sufferer, like I am, the combination of this conditioner with the occasional use of any tea-tree oil shampoo, should really help to get rid of any dry scalp problems.

I was looking for a good conditioner to go along with my new organic shampoo ...
I was looking for a good conditioner to go along with my new organic shampoo that I purchased a few weeks ago. Before changing over to the better quality shampoo I had been using the bargain basement shampoo from target for a long long time. I just purchased the cheapest shampoo I could see on the shelf. Yeah you guessed it, I am a guy and getting up there at that. I had long hair when I was a teenager in the early seventies until I went in the Air Force, then good-by long hair, in fact good-by hair all together!!. I made a career of it and got used to short hair and kept it short for many years. A few months ago I decided I am going to let it grow out again and have a pony tail like most of the old retirees I see around. Well, it didnt take long to find out my hair was not what it used to be. As soon as it got a little longer it was all frizzy and dried out, looked terrible, I thought about going to get a hair cut and forget about the pony tail. My daughter came over and said your hair is all dried out from using that degreaser of a shampoo you use. So I went and bought a organic shampoo and started using that. It made a little bit of difference. After a couple of weeks my hair was still dried out. Ok, I am going to let you in on a little secret, I did some research on line about what causes your hair and skin to dry out like it does. And it always comes back to the water you are using to shower or bath in. The water quality in this country is terrible. Depending where you live they could be using Chlorine,Chloramines or Monochloramines to purify the water. Those chemicals you are absorbing while taking a shower dry out your hair and skin big time. And your breathing in the mist into your lungs while taking a shower. (that's bad) I went online and found a shower filter that removed the Chlorine and Chloramines and the heavy metals from my water and installed them onto my shower. Within three days I could feel the difference in my hair and skin. I can not say it enough, These shampoos and conditioners try to put back the natural oils that these chemicals in the water are taking out. Using these good quality shampoos and conditioners along with the shower filter makes a huge difference. I also installed a vitamin c shower head filter with a flexible hose a week after installing the first shower filter after reading about them and what the vitamin c does for your hair and skin. That was like icing on the cake. Even at my age my hair is soft and shinny. I cant believe it. My main filter is the Pelican I purchased on Amazon and the Vitamin c shower head filter I purchased on anther online store, but they do sell them on Amazon. If you decide to purchase a shower filter contact your local water company and talk to the water quality section to find out what they use to purify the water. Then check on the company website of the shower filter you are thinking of buying to see what the shower filter will reduce or eliminate, you might have to call the filter company as they don't always say what they "wont" filter out. Only a very few will filter out Monochloramines, some water companies use that instead Chlorine. Some use Chloramine and some use both Chlorine and Chloramine like my water company. A lot of the shower filter advertisements descriptions say they will reduce Chlorine but do not mention the other two, If they removed them they would put that in their advertisement. Check before purchasing, you might think that the filter you bought is protecting you when in reality it is not filtering anything.

Repurchase, fine soft 2c/3a curls...
This is a beautiful conditioner that puts protein and spring back in my curls without any weight. I prefer this to many hair masks I've tried. Leaves your hair touchable soft and springy, weightless and well hydrated.

The best conditioner ever and natural to boot
I don’t know how this hasn’t got 5 stars!! I discovered this 2 years ago and it’s still going strong. I’ve never experienced any conditioner that consistently gives you such soft silky hair and it’s natural! I’m my opinion it is the only conditioner worth buying. I used to have to always alternate my conditioners after a first good experience with them but now I don’t need to mix it up as much, I can use it for weeks on end before I feel like I might need to give it a rest, then I go back to it and it’s amazing all over again!

Das bringt nichts
Das Zeug bringt nichts. Hier wird viel Geld für wenig Leistung gefordert. Das würde ich auf keinen Fall nochmal kaufen. Keine Empfehlung.
