A practical Playbook Every Advertiser Should Have in Their Library
Massive value and instructional video, on top of that, they provide a bonus sections with updated content, in my opinion, every serious advertiser knows that adaptation of part of the entrepreneurial journey, the “I don’t like video” “I don’t want to do video ads” cry cry thing… it’s normal, I get it, we will resist anything we don’t know, because I’m not used to either the video implementation either, I know how it fells, but it’s not about me/us… it’s about our customer/clients and how to use the best approach to get a sale/consult or whatever you’re trying to get out of fb ads. It provides complete strategies on advertising and marketing, and most of all, how make money, not to lose money. Written by a team of the best marketers in the business, led by well known long-time Internet Marketing and PPC Pro, Perry Marshal, one of my marketing idols. Marshall is a pioneer expert in Google PPC, and brings over 15 years of experience to Facebook PPC marketing. pretty good!
I wish the author had spent more time on the process by which you would optimize your ads over time. The first 1/3rd of the book is him doing a walkthrough of the platform and all the buttons (not that useful). The second 1/3rd is a bunch of ad examples…but with no example result #s or info on what landing page the user is going to, not that helpful. The last 1/3rd has some really good nuggets about strategy and some funnel diagrams that are very helpful. I’m happy I read it but wish I could have skipped the beginning.

This is a MAJOR Rewrite... and more than worth every penny!
I just bought the kindle version (eTextbook) less than 48 hours ago and I've been devouring it since. I'm only about 80% of the way through but there is a TON of Gold in here. I can tell that I'm going to be reading this book multiple times and keeping it close by as a reference. I've had the 3rd edition of this book for a couple years, but don't be fooled, this was NO small update... rather it is a MAJOR Rewrite. The biggest shift is when Bob unveils his concept of the Deep Marketing Funnel. It's genius and custom built for how audiences respond on social media in 2020 and beyond. There are other gold nuggets like the Story chapter, which by itself is invaluable, and has created a new foundation for how I will approach all of my client campaigns going forward The hard work and high-level thinking that Bob put into this book is obvious and even though I rarely take the time to write reviews, I had to make an exception in this case for Bob and the whole cast of co-authors that Perry brought together. They absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one! If you are interested in taking your Facebook Ads game to the next level, or just want to start off on the right foot as a beginner, I highly recommend investing your time in reading the Ultimate Guide to Facebook Advertising 4th ed. You won't regret it.

Pros, new buyers, and everyone in between need this!
With a platform that's constantly changing, it's important to understand the fundamentals... rather than the new and shiny tactics that may become outdated almost immediately. This powerful guide teaches based on incredible fundamentals... by experienced teachers. I was very happy to see that this book covered concepts like RFM and how to tell powerful stories. PLUS, it's an enjoyable read packed with action items. Highly recommended!

Thorough and insightful
This is the first time I'm getting this book, so I can't compare it to earlier editions, but thus far, I'm very impressed by how comprehensive it is. Lots of visual aid, solid strategy, and just feels comfortable as I diver further and further into it. Job well done by the authors!!

Ultimate Guide to **VIDEO** Advertising on Facebook (correct title)
This book should be titled the "Ultimate Guide to VIDEO Advertising on Facebook." The authors expressly and heavily advocate for video advertising throughout the book. That's fine. But that's not what I expected when I bought the book. I've never made a video ad, and honestly, I don't want to make a video ad. What's even more frustrating is that throughout the book, the authors talk about how important it is to use humor in videos. Reading this book, I became convinced that in order to succeed in Facebook advertising in 2021, I have to make funny video ads. It's annoying to be told that I have to make funny video ads in order to succeed with Facebook advertising. I'm not a comedian, and I'm not a filmmaker. Even more frustrating, on page 270, it says that funny video ads are, "a mighty powerful strategy if played right, or a car wreck if they are played wrong. Only use these types of ads with firms that understand how these are produced." All book long, the authors advise you to make funny video ads. Then, on page 270, they tell you not to make funny video ads, unless you hire a firm that knows how to make them well. So here is the core message of this book: if you want to succeed with Facebook advertising, you have to hire a firm to make humorous video ads for you. AND GUESS WHAT? They have EXACTLY the firm for YOU! How lucky you are! You didn't even know when you bought the book that you need to make funny video ads to succeed with Facebook advertising, and now that you know that, all you have to do is pay the book's author to make funny video ads for you! I love Perry Marshall's books, and I've had lots of success with them. But he apparently let his partner write this book, and it sucks. The relentless pushing of the author's video production company, the heavy focus on video ads, and the plethora of grammatical errors and typos leave me utterly disappointed.

A Must Have For Anyone Buying Ads on Facebook
Not only is this the nuts and bolts of advertising on Facebook. This book goes into business strategy and philosophy of business. Bob and Perry are masters of strategic advertising. Highly, highly recommended.

An Essential Comprehensive and Objective Manual for both novice & experiences advertisers
I've followed Perry's work for years but am blown away with the depth and comprehensiveness of this book. The book successfully caters to both novice advertisers brand new to the FB interface, and provides advanced tips and optimisation strategies for more experienced advertisers. My experience is somewhere in the middle, and I found the book extremely valuable. The book demystifies the Facebook auction mechanics and bidding options (there are a lot!). I think David Nadler's chapter on 'choosing the best Facebook funnel' is worth the price of the book alone. Basically don't ramp up your Facebook spend until you've read this book! Also a great overview for business owners who want a high level understanding before hiring an agency.

Super Buch für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene
Nachdem ich schon den Vorgänger im Regal hatte, habe ich mir auch die neueste Version des Ultimate Guide to Facebook Advertising geholt und bin nicht enttäuscht worden. Das Buch ist super strukturiert und geht weit über das eigentliche Facebook Thema hinaus. Behandelt werden die fundamentalen Aspekte guten Marketings und wie man diese auf das Thema Facebook Ads überträgt. Leider verpassen genau das viele Bücher und sind daher nur wenig brauchbar bzw. anwendbar. The Ultimate Guide to Facebook Advertising von Perry und Bob empfehle ich jedem, der sich mit dem Thema Facebook Ads auseinandersetzen möchte.

Just brilliant
I love this book!!!...its the first time I have ever done an Amazon review....but it needs doing! Bob is, as we would say in the UK, an absolute LEDGE (legend!). Really well written, by genuine experts. I know this book took around 18 months to write, but thank you so much fellas for putting the time in. Well done. I am sure Bob wold not mind the analogy....it's a slam-dunk.
