Decent, but a lot of faffing about. You need the whole setup to appreciate
Edited 05/02/2023 now added the Home subwoofer. This is now a completely different system. If you really want to experience a sound system to rival Home cinema. You need the Home sub woofer; it takes everything to the next level. Decent speakers, my set up is a denon soundbar 716 sound bar, *2 speakers. I have to admit, going from a wired System to a Wireless you notice the difference straight away. The sounds from Wired is incomparable, I donโt care what anyone says. Wireless is good as you donโt have all the wires so you have freedom but sound no way. You must be a technomaniac or or oblivious to say wireless is better than wired. I have noticed some latency very small but Iโm critical like this. You never get this with wired but as a conclusion. I am happy with the set up. Need to order a subwoofer to complete the set up, but itโs costing serious money to get a wireless system. Compared to other wireless systems? Not going to mention any Brands Denon Is highly superior, not just saying that because I have it. Itโs just a fact. Iโve heard the difference and yeah, other brands, sorry you have a lot of catching up to do. Itโs like a 5 year old against Ussain bolt, no contest. Youโre doing well but believe me, you are not even close to the game. Nothing against you but Iโve heard the expensive ยฃ500+ but still itโs tinny and crap. If you think otherwise you must be delusional, the Denon is well far superior. The denon has a decent weight to speakers, this lets you know there are quality components inside. Iโve seen these light weight brands, believe me. They are light weight because theyโre hollow crap. Donโt sell it as light weight before functionality. Youโll notice this straight away when you turn the bass up. Light means well rubbish ! If I can mark the Denon out of 10, it would be 6.5 or 7. Itโs not quiet there but thereabouts. Yes I have it and itโs cost me close to ยฃ1200 pounds and I donโt have a subwoofer yet. Itโs good and no complaints. My Cars B&O system is far superior to the denon though. B&O 600W mind blowing The plus points are, no wires so distance in a room is excellent. The bass without subwoofer is acceptable, compared to others? Honestly there is no comparison. You have to hear differences. You will notice after 15 seconds & think is this a joke ? Denon good job but you need to try harder mate

High quality speaker.
The 150 is a high quality Denon speaker, with excellent connectivity. It has a traditional Denon sound with modern innerds. It looks smart and is small and unobtrusive, ideal for a smaller room or kitchen etc. It is not able to produce sterio as a single unit, but is still very capable. The installation is pretty good and doesn't require you to reconfigure your entire system, unlike some other units software does. Personally, I think the software on all brands is a bit arcane and clunky, but the HEOS is probably the best of the lot for non-tech users. I could have lived with the 150, but eventually I returned it and now have a pair of 250 in a stereo set up and is working very well indeed.

Not so smart speaker. Read me
UPDATE unfortunately the firmware update is still not released by Denon for smart speaker capability. I've also since found that when it is released, it will only be for very simple instructions such as play or skip track. There is no asking the weather or adjusting the heating etc as you would expect a smart device to achieve. If returning do not use hermes, they take upto one month if not lost at present!! Had to contact customer services on amazon lots who have now refunded thankfully. Have since bought a Google home max which is perfect for my needs with both aux, superb sound and of course Google assistant. I've been waiting for so long for a high end smart speaker with oomph with an all important AUX outlet. It's main popular rival of similar colour, is a great speaker, but no way of connecting a mixer without buying yet more expensive equipment to bridge them together. Enter the Denon home 150 with the aux! If you have turntables (I.E Technics 1210s) boxed up for years. But only wanted to get them out into the living room in a subtle concealed unit, the only thing stopping me was I didn't just want any speakers as usual connected I wanted a smart one and also which blended in with the decor. (room is grey and white, so this is perfect!). My mixer connected no problem with a 2x phono to 1x 3.5mm jack splitter cable, using the heos app you just choose aux as the output. The sound on this is booming, even on a third of the volume is enough for my living room loud enough. Half setting it's pumping, full setting you would have to shout at the other person and maybe upset the neighbours. Which leads me into being glad I got just the one, as it's so powerful on it's own. The treble and bass on the app are at a default zero zero. Adjusting the treble to max makes this perfectly clear, otherwise the treble is muffled. Very happy with this denon home 150, personally I didn't need a huge wall of rave sound blasting the place down like the old days, just a subtle nice quality looking unit for the living room, with superb sound, and then an assistant when not playing music on hand to deal with smart gadgets in the home amongst other things.

Typical Denon, really good design that's easy to use
I've tried several smart speakers in the effort to replace my Echo Dot with something more beefy sounding. This was easily the best of the bunch in its price range. It's small yet powerful. The sound quality is easily up there with the best in this category. It's not too bass heavy, but has plenty of body. My wife absolutely loves the touch sensitive controls that light up when you move near them. For me, I liked how easily I was able to set this up with Alexa. As it uses Heos, and not it's own app, it made it a breeze to be up and running. Some of the other brand speakers were near impossible. Another good point was the Wi-Fi signal range. Some other speakers completely failed at the same distance that this easily performs. I honestly have no cons for this speaker. It's a keeper.

A great alternative to Sonos
I had to get another speaker, as for some reason the Sonos One wouldn't connect to WiFi when we switched to Virgin Media. I tried a couple of others that just didn't hit the spot, but this is definitely a contender. It's probably not quite as good as Sonos in all honesty (not quite the same depth and richness), but it's definitely very close. I did notice that it needs a bit of time to 'break in' and audio quality has improved with repeated listens.

The tone and bass are great
I canโt believe the quality of sound from such a small speaker. Itโs great!

Great sound but flawed control
For small speakers these sound great and you don't tire of their sound when listening all day. My only slight criticism of the sound is that it's slightly "processed." Compared to a high quality hi-fi system the speaker looses some transparency, smoothness and detail, but for a small speaker it's very impressive. I use two speakers formed as a stereo pair. The pairing is performed on the Heos App and generally works well however the Heos App has some issues that Denon seem slow to be resolving. Sometimes on loading, it only finds one speaker and you have to turn the Wi-Fi on and off or even restart your phone to get it to connect to both speakers. The app's grouping function is inconsistent. I have my Denon Home 150 speakers as a stereo pair in one group called "Kitchen." I have another Heos enabled device in my living room. Sometimes I group them together so that the music comes out of all speakers simultaneously i.e. in synch so you don't hear an echo. When you ungroup the two groups (so you can play different music in each room), the Heos App annoyingly also takes each speaker out of the stereo pair i.e. it creates effectively three groups. The stereo pair name also gets randomply changed from what I set it to. Some of the Apps controls are awkward. For example as a stereo pair you can adjust the left and right volume independently by clicking on the respective speaker's slider and sliding the volume up or down. However this function is very hit and miss and you have to try many times to get it to work. It's like the touchscreen function doesn't work well. Sometime ago Denon enabled Alexa Voice Control on the speakers. My wife and I like this function and find it very useful. HOWEVER, be aware that the Alexa Voice Control often conflicts with the Heos App. Worse still, the situation seems to be getting worse, not better! To give an example, Alexa used to control the volume of both speakers together so a commend to Alexa to turn up the volume on "Kitchen" (the group name of the stereo pair) increased the volume on both speakers the same amount. Since a recent update, this function no longer works consistently. Either only the volume on one speaker adjusts, or they both adjust but by different amounts! Looking at the Heos App I can see the changes Alexa makes. Often Alexa takes the speakers out of the stereo pair. This is really annoying especially as it used to work. I have updated and reinstalled everything to no avail. What's even more annoying is that Denon customer care state that Alexa Voice Control was never intended to work with a stereo pair and there's no plan to make it either! So don't be misled by the glossy marketing info you see on this webpage. They highlight both Stereo Pair functioning and Alexa Voice control without stating that these options are incompatible with each other!! I've tried every setting in both the Heos and Alexa apps and cannot get this to work correctly. Whilst I'm on about the Heos App, let me also express my frustration at the greatly simplified cut-down version of user experience the App gives when streaming music. I use Tidal to stream my music due to the high quality. These speakers are great because they receive the music stream via the Wi-Fi direct from Tidal's servers. They don't rely on a bluetooth connection via my phone, so they can play the uncompressed file format, i.e. high quality and yes if you connect via bluetooth and play the same song you can hear the difference in quality. HOWEVER, whereas the Tidal App is great and offers so many useful features, for example the ability to continue playing similar music when your current selection ends, The HEOS APP has none of these features. It operates using a songlist strategy meaning that all of the things I like about Tidal are lost. You have to choose your music via the Heos app but rather than mimicking the Tidal App it offers only a very basic interface to it. To use the Tidal App I would have to connect via bluetooth defeating the point of high quality streaming because bluetooth can't handle the data rate. There are many ways to use these speakers due to their connectivity. These issues are just some of the problems I have encountered due to the way in which I use them (or try to use them). I'm sure there will be more, some of which will break and them be fixed through subsequent updates. Just be aware that however you use your speakers, don't assume this will always be possible. Features that the speakers are marketed as having, may not last long or work with other features and their operation may change.

Amazing sound
Amazing sound and integrates seamlessly with the other Denon speakers, have my tv going through a Denon av receiver and wirelessly out through multiple speakers, this one added to them and itโs flawless.

Great sound and lots of features
The Denon Home 150 is the best wireless speaker I have purchased so far. I wanted the DLNA feature to play music from my NAS. I found the Denon better than my Bose. There are so many options to stream music, fantastic. Ross
