Perfect! 4th gen 4runner w/jbl -20 mins, 3 tools will make your system better than new. Buy it!
Perfect replacement for stock 4th gen 4runner. Extremely easy to install -20 mins total frin pulling the cover panel off, pullinf old bad sub, cutting off stock connectors, feeding the 4 wires into the push down connectors, securing down the new sub & stock sub-cover with the original screws, then puting the panel back on. 20 mins, a leathermam, and 2 screwdrivers (flathead to pry off panels & pull out sub and a star bit on the drill for removing/securing the fasteners) - Easy Peasy. The upgrade in sound exceeded my expectations. I wish I bought it sooner, but didnt buy it until the price dropped to $100. Looking back I would have bought at full price months earlier if I knew how quick and easy it would be to have such a great upgrade for my ol' 4runner. If you have the weird 2 ohm JBL stock system - buy this! Dont wait.

Fits with an adapter in 2010 Highlander.
Quality bass that fits my wifeโs Highlander. Easy to wire and, with an adapter, install. No complaints.

2002 Nissan Sentra Spec V, sub repair/upgrade, works with OEM amp!
This speaker was designed to upgrade those factory systems that came with deluxe sound systems but which had relatively cheap speakers. In my case the car came with a Rockford Fosgate designed system with an 8" sub in a factory box (I had another car, 2003 350z that I bought new back in the day, Bose system, probably similar). The sub wasn't great - ends up the foam ring was disintegrated - so I got this. I planned on replacing the 2 ohm factory amp because it seemed like it didn't work well with anything because a lot of stuff was 4 ohm or higher. I think it was $100? Amazon now has discounts on things, seems like it's based on your history looking at them. When the stars lined up and the discounts were all over stuff I was looking at, I ended up buying 3 subwoofers, door speakers (3 sets), and 2 amps, for 3 different vehicles. This one was on sale and so I got it. To my surprise I saw that this speaker would be compatible with the OEM system. 2 ohm amp so you want a 2 ohm sub otherwise it'll be very quiet. To get to speaker just pop off the metal grille. This exposes 4 screws that hold the plastic ring on. Unscrew those and the sub comes off. After I got the speaker loose, I cut the factory soldered wires as close to the OEM speaker terminals as possible. I trimmed the ends off the factory wires, put them into the Pioneer's spring loaded terminals in the same bridged set up, put things back (after quickly testing that the speaker was making noise). Installing the Pioneer sub was easy. I used the same mounting holes, the same mounting ring, the same metal mesh speaker cover/protector (which is nice because I sometimes have sharp edged things in the trunk that would damage an unprotected speaker). I have no slamming system but this is definitely an improvement and lets me be a kid again. I have Pioneer 3 way 6.5" speakers for the doors and deck, and I'll probably put a smaller amp for those speakers. Right now the sub is a bit stronger than the rest of the sound system.

Perfect fit to replace OEM subwoofers in 2006 Ford Mustang GT.
Great speakers. Replaced my OEM lower door speakers in my 2006 Ford Mustang GT. Had to do a little modification on the back side of the door panel but after that they fit nicely. Even put back on the original speaker cover and ring.

Good subwoofer
Delivery was quick. The item looks and feels of good quality. I installed this to replace a busted subwoofer on my truck. It fit perfectly fine. I had to cut the coonevtor and use bare wires as that was what my truck worked with. Not an issue on this speaker. I wish the holes were a bit easier to line up. Perhaps a small jig to help one person install. It had good power range. The sound was nice and deep. I recomend it for the money.

Where's the bass?
EDIT: I'm going to give this another try after building a smaller enclosure for it. The factory enclosure looks like it's about 1 cubic foot, but the product details suggest this subwoofer works best in an enclosure between 0.15 and 0.5 cubic feet. Iโm also planning to use a mono amp matched to this sub's full RMS capabilities, connected to the subwoofer RCA jack on the back of my new Android Auto head unit. Iโll update this review with the results. Original Post: There was nothing physically wrong with the 2x2 ohm subwoofer in my 5th-generation Grand Caravan (about 7 years old), but I read that this sub was a good upgrade and it was recommended by Crutchfield. Installation was straightforward, with multiple slot arrangements that lined up well. I used new gasket sealing tape and cleaned the surface with isopropyl alcohol before installing it. Itโs working fine, but to be honest, it feels like a slight downgrade from the original sub. The cone diameter is about 1/4" smaller, and the depth is about 3/4" less than the factory subwoofer. Iโd suggest listening to it before reinstalling the moldings. Itโs also helpful to play the same song before and after installation, and try isolating just the bass frequencies for a more accurate comparison. The suspension on this sub is much stiffer than on the 7-year-old factory sub, which likely impacts its performance. With the factory ampโexpensive and difficult to replace in these CAN bus integrated systemsโitโs not worth the hassle to upgrade. You could technically overload the amp by wiring to just one coil and then bridging to the other, but that seems like a risky move since electrical issues in vehicles can be time-consuming and costly to repair. If youโre looking for more bass, Iโd recommend adding a secondary sub to your system rather than replacing the factory one.

It fits perfectly on 2008 Ford Explorer.
It's a good replacement for stock 8 Inch subwoofer in any car. Everything fit nicely to existing screw holes. The Sub is more powerful than the stock Sony Subwoofer. And I recommend you to limit the subsonic to 25Hz, below that it will vibrate more.

The product corresponds
The product corresponds to its description, the speaker is shallow so it can be easily adapted to the factory car's low-frequency equipment. Compatible with PIONEER factory amplifier, no additional amplifier required
