US Energy Products 4' x 5' Roll (20 Sqft) Automotive Vehicle Insulation (Sound Deadener, Radiant Heat Barrier Mat, Thermal Insulation) (R8) AD5 5MM Waterproof / Moistureproof

This worked perfectly for the engine side of my RV doghouse cover. It was easy to install and is insulating the heat and noise really well. I did have to use 3M spray adhesive to secure it inplace.

Put down as a heat shield and noise barrier on the floor of my vintage FJ40. 100% as advertised and works a treat. Note it doesn’t come with adhesive so pick yourself up some spray glue.

I used KILMAT 80 mil, via Amazon.com, of course, as a sound suppressor under the hood of my 2005 Dodge Dakota (4.7L V8) to deaden engine noise. It is so-o-o very easy to cut, shape, and install - a no-brainer when (or even before) it's time to replace the (deteriorating) under-hood insulation pad! I followed up with NASATEK Vehicle Sound Deadener and (R8) 5MM Insulation Pad ("Adhesion" N/A) via Amazon.com and the exceedingly accommodating Mr. Mike Davis at Trade Winds/US Energy Products, in Washington, GA. I finished raw pad edges with Design Engineering 010408 Cool-Tape Self-Adhesive Heat Reflective (1.5" wide) Tape. A simple, easy, inexpensive, and perfect partnership! Could not be happier!

I used this to insulate the engine dog house of truck. I used this product on the inside-the-cab side of the box to keep heat and sound down. I used 3M super 70 for the adhesive. One of things I like about this insulation is that it easy to work around corners and into curves. It also has a slight stretch if you need it. It cuts easy and can be stacked and shaped to make upholstering easier, if needed. I will buy it again without a second thought.

I used this mat to reduce the noise coming from my gas golf cart. A slight reduction.

The material is good but was not 60” (5-feet) long as described nor was it cut square. I needed 60” for my windows. Not worth my time to return.

At first I was sending it back. When I received a message from the seller/owner and was surprised by the quick response and help they offered without me asking. I decided to give it a try and love it! I thought because it was so lightweight that it wouldn’t do any good but to my surprise it is awesome!! This insulation doesn’t take space but works so great! Really like the double-sided foil. Very easy to install with a good spray adhesive. Cuts easily, forms well, and helps reduce the heat pouring out of an Austin-Healey firewall.
