1996 tacoma will this work?

Remote came with 3 step instructions. My 1997 Toyota Supra has factory alarm installed to work with auto door lock/unlock so for me did not work unless further steps were taken by accessing my vehicle ECU to delete original programming which I did not do. My vehicle has additional sound and glass breakage alarms so unless I accessed ECU & deleted original programming it could have worked I can not know. For me the item Price is worth taking a chance because would cost me much more to find out if done professionally and be a hassle to arrange at a dealership.
