Distortion, Flanger, & Delay
Of all of the pedals listed in the Amazon sale, I bought 3 within a short period: Flanger, Digital Delay, & American Sound. I used to have a collection of 70 pedals (mostly Boss, as well as pedals from Keeley, DOD, EHx, Digitech, Whirlwind, Ibanez, Voodoo Lab, Rocktron, etc.) The trio I purchased makes an incredible effect chain: American in front of the amp with the Flanger & Delay in the loop. I tested switching the order of the flanger & the delay, & I found I like the sounds of flanger before delay. If I can get my flanger to sound like a chorus & my delay to sound like a timed reverb, then I'm in tone Heaven! I get that from these Joyo boxes! Considering their cost, I can't believe how sturdy and heavy they feel. All of the reviews you hear/read of these pedals are accurate. The American Sound is based on Fender amps and gets an amazing Seattle tone. It is meant to be used as an amp sim, plugged into a mixer or a flat amp or a pro-audio rig. I have it plugged into the front of an Orange bass amp; the 6 knobs on the pedal and the 7 knobs on my amp give me a huge amount of control over my tone. The Digital Delay is called "digital", but it has a simulated analog tone. I.e., the repeats are programmed to decay. I prefer digital delays with no decay, but this still sounds great! The Flanger tones can be really stretched from subtle chorus and vibrato to airplane flanger and crazy robot sounds. It's a really good quality tone from something so inexpensive. I switched from all the great classic pedals in the past to no pedals and onto these inexpensive pedals. It is great to have this versatile effect chain for barely over $100 - my deliberate protest of the $300+ pedals out there these days.

A great Pedal for my intended purpose.
What a Great Pedal at a Great Price. Fellow guitar players, I use this pedal to simulate an electric guitar amp by running it into my Fishman Loudbox Micro acoustic amp. Itโs a practice amp that I use at home with my acoustic guitars with pickups. But the thing sounds flat and boring with my electrics ( just could not come up with an EQ setting that worked on the Fishman so thought Iโd give this pedal a try).. Iโm delighted with the tone Iโve achieved thru the Fishman amp with this pedal. It sounds like an electric guitar. I play clean so have not tried to drive it to breakup. JOYO really does build quality stuff that sounds good. Iโm happy that this pedal solved my problem.

Sounds so good!!!
Everyone should own this pedal. For $35 it is the best sounding, most useful pedal you could own. Huge range of tones, tons of control and plenty of character. Go straight from your guitar into the American into a PA - no guitar amp needed. A perfect pedal. How could anyone afford to NOT have this pedal. Getting the British pedal next.

Great "Always On' Tone
Really killer pedal. I haven't used it as a recording amp or anything but just as a "flavor" to my tube amp's tone. I have a Blackstar HT5R, which is a great home tube amp as it has the headphone output and the low watt setting, but I have always wanted a Fender Blues Jr. style tone, I just knew it would be too loud and impractical to buy for my house. Enter this great little pedal. I find the Blackstar has a very neutral tone to it, pretty much a blank slate, but when I turn this on, it just adds a nice spark of richness. It adds a subtle reverb, some more clarity and body to the sound, and generally does add a Fender blues style flavor. It's also great to play with the knobs and use it as a volume boost or crunchy drive pedal. It really feels like it offers tons of tonal options and you can definitely spend a ton of time experimenting with the different "amp sounds" and levels. In the end, it's definitely become one of my "always on" pedals. Build quality is also great, and it looks pretty cool on my pedalboard. Has a subtle shine to it which I dig. Great value as well. Edit: After some more time with it, I lowered the rating to 4 stars. I still really enjoy the tone and have it on most of the time, but one thing I noticed is it is generally a bit noisy. I got a new power supply and set every pedal on its 9v and itโs the only one in my circuit that makes has a mild hiss whenever itโs on. Even with the gain lowered itโs still there a bit. Also I noticed the switch is a little clunky and can be tricky to turn on/off at times. Both things arenโt a huge deal, but just some things to note before making the purchase. Overall still a pretty decent value.

With the Joyo American Sound I have found my "tone".
The Joyo American Sound JF-14 is an amp simulator / pre-amp modeled after a Fender '57 Deluxe amplifier. It is intended to be used for direct recording or used to plug directly into your soundboard for live performances. It work great on a pedalboard into either the front of your amp or thru the effects loop. It also a nice way to spice up your headphone amp for quiet practice sessions. It has 6 controls. 3 for your EQ (Low, Medium and High). You then have a Level for output, Voice and Drive. The drive controls your overall gain for overdrive. The Voice control is unique. It helps define the character of the "amp". The manual says the voice "adjusts the frequency response and distortion, together with the adjustment of the drive it can simulate many kinds of amplifiers". So basically using the voice and drive together you emulate anything from a Fender Twin to a Deluxe Tweed. Fender Amps were "The" sound of the 50's and 60's. The sound and tone of this pedal is incredible. I play a mix of 50's, 60's, Surf, Classic Rock and Country. Using this pedal I can go from Buddy Holly to Dick Dale to Steppenwolf without too much effort. It can be used to give you a clean boost, get a mild breakup, a low gain overdrive all the way to a nice creamy overdriven tube amp sound. This pedal is quite versatile. It plays well with other pedals. My chain looks like this...Tuner > Distortion > Joyo Taichi > Joyo American Sound > Chorus > Delay > Reverb > Tremolo. I absolutely love this pedal. Like most guitar players, I have been looking for the "tone". With the Joyo American Sound I have found my "tone". Buy this pedal now! You will not be disappointed.

Excellent value and VERY useful sounds! I am very happy with this "amp"!
I have read many positive reviews and am typically a skeptic about inexpensive guitar gear--especially pedals. I have been doing this a long time (55+ years) and have become very choosy about my gear. I need to like the sound and to trust that the gear will do what I ask every time I use it. This American Sound amp simulator really does do th "Fender" amp sound quite well. Voice it counter-clockwise and you get the mid-scooped Black Face & Silver Face sounds. When clean, it is almost a perfect rendition of a Black or Silver Princeton and just about nails down the Twin sound. In the middle voice, it gains midrange growl and does the Brown Face amps like an old Deluxe. Turn it right of center and you start to pick up the Tweed sounds. Just past noon and you are in the Tweed Bassman range with its mid-range breakup, keep cranking clockwise and this little puppy sound just like an insanely overdriven 1950s Champ. In that area right around where the brown face and tweeds start to appear is where you get the best spot to simulate one of the boutique re-builds (think Dumble, early Mesa-Boogie, and the like). A little extra mid-range bump, grit, a warm clean sound, but a singing, biting overdrive sound. When set clean, this pedal has WAY less hiss than a real Fender amp (the real amp set, say, to a Gain of 3 and the volume set to "comfortable"). When you push the gain, however, it is just as hissy as the real thing. With a compressor in front of it, it has the shiny attack in the Black/Silver Face settings - especially when clean. Use the compressor for enhanced sustain or drive the pedal with another overdrive unit or booster in front of it and it is absolutely creamy in the noon to clockwise voice settings...and just sings. This may just become my most used and useful pedal.

No good
Buy a guitar amp. This thing is garbage. Tons of good Amazon reviews mean nothing. Same with โbass pedalsโ buy a bass amp. The only direct guitar box Iโve found that sounds good is the tech21 gt2. And this ainโt it.

Great amp to make electric guitars sound good on acoustic amps.
This pre amp made my electric tenor sound great on an acoustic boss amp. I would recommend.

It's a killer - love it.
You can get pretty good sounds out of this pedal from Fender blackface to tweed. It punches way above its price.

Super Option For My Wants
Good enough as a backup amp on its own for the odd times I play out, and worth the entry fee for that alone Other than that it's also yet another OD but it also works at home as a fun amp to experiment with quietley. My expectations were ballpark good enough versus high end and it's certainly that. I am not a tone chaser or pro recorder feeling I need some for some last nuance, nor do I have ambitions of gigging for a living. I also can't be bothered with sub menus or computer interfaces to get lost in. It's not that I could not I just don't want to fiddle with the current tech as a casual hobbyist. My review is with all that in mind.

Harp players best find.
Amazing pedal for price. Rated as one of best for harmonica giving old style tube like sounds combined with reverb and delay pedals from Azur also from Amazon at kick ass prices.
