As with all Anker products I have purchased so far I am very impressed with this product. I am building a charging station for all our gadgets in the house and i'm putting this inside of it to charge everything. It is small, compact, functions very well, and if it were to be out it looks good too. It has a nice matte finish that looks good and feels good in hand.The 6 port was the right size for what I need, the port IQ technology is great for me, sure you can never fully charge 6 iPads on this thing but for my use it is perfect, generally 2 phones and a tablet will be charging or my wife's fitbit and her phone along with a spare (Anker) battery pack.For anyone interested in using this in a charging station the AC cord unplugs from the back of it, and it is the standard 2 pin power cord so you don't need to drill a huge hole to route the cable, I used a 5/8 spade bit to put the holes in my DIY charging station. I think it works really well, the 6 1 foot cables that came with this unit were a bit too short for my use but they are good to stash away in a drawer for a future project as they seem to be high quality cables.Overall I am very happy with this product and will update this review if I have any problems with it. I would buy another at this point and I am planning to buy a smaller 3 or 4 port charger for our travel bag the next time they have a big sale

This hub is designed for families or a power-user with many items to charge. The Anker 60W 6-Port Desktop USB Charger has an intelligent power management system that lets ANY (not just some like other chargers) of its ports charge up your iPad, Android, iPhone or other USB accessory at its best possible speed. It shares the 60 watts across the ports. So this means you can can recharge SIX iPad Airs or iPad minis at a peak of 10W speeds. I love it because you no longer have to look and figure out which port is the correct one for your device as some of my other hubs require. The hub has a nice higher-end feel to it and it comes with a 6 pack of 1 foot USB to Micro USB cables. If you do have Apple devices, you will need your own lightning cable(s). Pretty great value however if you ask me.

After doing the research, and having purchased this, I am pleased with my decision. This item works very well for my purposes in charging a number of different devices at the same time. I found that it quite quickly charges anything I plug into it.I was also pleased that the multiport charger didn't seem to get hot, even with all ports in use simultaneously. They seem to have thought of everything in designing this product, because even small cable organizers of the velcro variety are included for the electrical cord and the USB cables. The shortened USB 2.0 cables which are included all have the same connectors, that is they're all the type A to Micro-B connectors. These are shortened to less than 1 foot of length, and this is helpful in reducing the mess of cords that would be expected with any of those with regular lengths. Too bad another option in cables with the various USB technologies and connectors doesn't yet exist.The electrical cord this device uses is a standard length, and it seems to be heavy duty enough to survive a typical amount of regular use.The compact design of this multiparty charger is aesthetically pleasing, too, and this makes it a lot less unsightly than many others I've seen.Considering this is a top seller, I will expect to see more great products like this one with the Anker brand name in the future.The price is right at under $40. As far as I believe, it would be hard to beat this maker's product for less money.

Having had this charger for over a year, I can say that the charger it self is great! Now, the cables that come with this charger are all garbage. There is a serious design flaw. Most cables have a set of claws on the bottom and a cutout on the top so that the claws can move and latch on keeping your cable in the charger port of the phone. The provided cables do not have a cutout on the top of the plug so that the claws can move and latch onto the port, causing the provided cables to constantly fall off of the phone. I had to buy other cables to use with this charger and it was an inconvenience since part of the reason I bought it, is that it came with all the cables required. The charger it self is great it charges any phone I plug in faster than the smaller provided chargers and you only need one charger for many devices. I have a charged a tablet, three phones and a power supply with no problems at all. Its great on trips since we only have to bring one charger. Anker please provide better cables!

My original order of this product did not arrive but the Anker Customer Support staff were excellent. Problems and mishaps occur in business but you can tell a lot about persons and organizations by the way that they react to those problems. Anker stepped up to the plate and worked to make sure that I was satisfied. If all companies reacted the same way that the Anker team did to the problem, by putting customers first, things would be a lot better. As a design engineer for a large company, I appreciate the quality and attention to details that are evident in Anker's product. The PowerPort 6 unit is solid and well built. It just works. The unit came with six good quality charging cables with adequate strain relief around the connectors plus reusable velcro cable wraps to keep the charging station area tidy. Even the packaging says that Anker is paying attention to detail in their products. Every once in a while you run into a company that you want to do business with - I'm adding Anker onto my list for the future.
